  1. 3 winning seasons in 18 years is pretty tough.  I would say that not many programs in East Tennessee have a similar record.  This job will be hard to fill.  Either someone with deep ties will have to come back to Clinton, or the Administration is going to have to take a new approach.  Most coaches will look elsewhere because of the lack of success that different coaches have had.  McKamey was a hometown guy who had pretty good success elsewhere.  I agree that the yelling and lack of control may have been a huge part of the equation in letting him go, but It makes a prospective coach wonder.  Still...I think if the administration is willing to look a little outside the box, they could find someone who loves the kids and the community.  Discipline, Effort, and Improvement should be the measuring stick for the new coach who decides to take on this job.

The Rams have Mike Vick at qb. Also, if the kid from Hampton legit runs a 4.3 which I highly doubt then he has D1 offers from probably every school. That type of speed with pads is unheard of.

Hampton kid is a sophomore.   He ran down Rockwood's 4.8 Fullback with a 20 yard head start and it was for a 99 yard touchdown and caught him on the 1 going in.

Come on now. Don't start that stuff. You know when the Meigs QB got hurt it was a hole different game. Those predictions would have been pretty close with him at 100%. The play book went from 10 pages to 1. Just like if #4 for Rockwood got hurt they would have had a hard time moving the ball. Those predictions were made with both teams at 100%. The young man was still trying to run. And when he would drop back to pass he could not avoid the rush. He was trying to play with one leg. Congrats to Rockwood.

Sincerely hope he is not seriously hurt and heals up quickly

    Ditto

Keep doubting...but let's look at the common opponent.  Tellico.  Rockwood played them week 2.   Tyner played them week 8.  Both won.  The score was similar.  The difference is that Rockwood was a different team week 2 than now.  Ask Meigs.   Keep hating and keep doubting.  You are just mad that your sitting at home and Tyner and Rockwood are still playing.  Really and truly.  This game is going to be a close one and come down to turnovers.  Tyner is very good and deserves to be in the Semi Finals.  So does Rockwood.

You can't use the win over Meigs last night as a measuring cup. If you know anything about football you would know the chances of Rockwood holding Meigs to 8 points would have been unlikely if QB for Meigs doesn't get hurt. He would have scored 2-3 TDs" I guarantee it.

    Tyner wins by a lot.

Should have, could have, and would have but didn't.  Your guarantee is pointless.  Meigs is sitting at home.  Rockwood won.  The only cup that matters is the cup with a W on it.

Meigs is no Tyner. Tyner is a great football team. That's why a few weeks ago I wanted to play them. Playing Tyner will really test and see how good Rockwood actually is. I personally wanted to know that. I was saying also a few weeks ago, how come Coach Webb doesn't schedule a team like Tyner or some of the better teams and gauge how good his team is.

MEIGS was the number 1 team in the state...how can you say Tyner is Better?  MEIGS is a heck of a football team. 12 and 0 until tonight.  No disrespect to Tyner...as they are also only 1 of 4 2A teams still playing.  Rockwood isn't small and has 2 backs over 1000 yards rushing and a third one closing in on 1000.

I didn't. I watched the first game between you two guys as well as the Oneida, Hampton, SN and Kingston game. Not sure about tonight's game but I read that the qb got hurt. That had to hurt Meigs a lot. Good win by your Tigers but Tyner is a whole different animal. Tyner's qb will look like an NFL qb compared to what you've seen. They have 300 lb linemen that are faster than the Meigs qb was. Not saying Rockwood can't win. Just saying I will be shocked if it's

Rockwood is underdog for 2nd straight week, might as well make it a 3rd.

Wpasi is a good poster always has been. Those of us who have been on here a long time know that.He is true blue Roane Countian and a solid Tiger fan.I know he doesnt need me to stand for him but i will due to the respect i have for him.We all stand tall for our respective teams so no need to step on their screen names.

If he can't take it he shouldn't dish it out.

I'm who I am a Tiger for life and call it the way i see it. The Hampton game is over the tigers won. You were a turd before and are still one I've been on here for along time and will be along time after your gone like the rest. If you want to figure out who I am research my previous post going back for years.

Now for SN it's going to be a heck of a game both teams are 1 and 0 just hope the tigers don't get 13 penaltys this week.

You see it in a North Korean Kim Jong Un way.  Pin on all your medals little "rocket man".

Level of competition hasnt been good.I was there Fri when you play a good team the run is over.Played 1 good team and 1 decent team and lost both.Hampton is way down from years past.

Meigs is the reigning Division 2 champs, and also the #1 team in the state.  So you have every right to question Rockwood.  The question is can Meigs keep up with the pressure of being number 1.  Happy Valley is well coached, and although they aren't what they were, they are still decent.

  11. Happy Valley isn't as good as they were last year, but they still have the tools.  Oneida has several players that will pose lots of problems.  Big 70 is all man.  He took our safety on a ride and together they took out an old poor referee who couldn't get out the way.  Expect a fight for sure.  Oneida is more experienced and tougher than people give them credit for.  We just were hitting on all cylinders when we played them.
