  1. Well, Monday is 53 days ubtil the star of the season and end of the summer no contact period. Teaching and practice begins to take on the urgency of an approaching season.

7 on 7 scrimmages will be taking place next Saturday with Bradley and Cleveland appearing to h ead for the Signal Mountain yourny next Saturday. Interesting development in that Soddy Daisy will be going to one at Finley after the issues of last year at Signal Mountain.

    yes...interesting
  2. Ingram is there...none of the other names ring a bell.

    Checkerboard...you are right

i ran into a player at church yesterday...he confirmed...

It's Coach Ingram and Coach Weir

Weir left Coach Greene's Rhea Co staff after spring to join Crawford's new staff

im just glad to see the program using old players/coaches from the past

  3. Cleveland has good talant coming back. And they have some good looking kids moving into starting roles. But could the fandom be expected too much with a new staff and going to a new system the first year? Some of what I read seems to indicate that.

I like the coaching change being an upgrade, but not sure it's going to produce an instant about face and winning 10 games. ;)

i agree...this year (record wise) will still look rough with a tough schedule...but this new excitement leaves us fans at ease knowing the program is heading in the right direction

the wins and losses will come

that is great to hear...after reading your post, i looked at Coach Renshaw's record at Dyer Co, and his record as a 5A head coach there is pretty salty! :popcorneater:

  5. I'm a football alumni for Cleveland High Football for almost 30 years. While I have always supported the program, my excitement is at an all time level entering this season.

The new coach, Ron Crawford has created a new buzz and hype. He has hired several former players and coaches from the glory days to join his staff.

Like I said, I have just heard great things. Anyone with real connections have any news for te preseason?
