Cascade beat CPA 43-42 at the buzzer!  Cascade will play Giles County tomorrow night at 5 @ Giles County for the district championship.

Why would some coaches not report their players' points to that website that I can't say?  Is it difficult to do or something?

Yeah. I didn't get to go but that's what I heard. You are going to have games like that when you are so young. It will be interesting to watch how much they can mature this year. There are times when they look pretty good and then others when they don't. There are two starters out right now that should be back after Christmas, so that will help.

True. . That probably made a big difference with two starters out.  Of course the best players can have a bad game as well.

CPA apparently looked pretty bad on Saturday against Community.

Jazz went to MTCS in the 7th grade but was at Christiana Middle in the 8th grade.  I know because we played MTCS and missed her in the 8th grade & I watched the newspapers and saw some stuff about her at Christiana.

Cascade has made some changes this year so it may take them a little while to get in the groove.

I saw that Creek Wood beat Smyrna at the Riverdale play day.  Yikes!

Is Cascade going to be at the Thanksgiving Tournament at Chapel Hill  this year?

Yup they are.  On Wednesday, they play Forrest @ 4:30.  Friday, they'll play Stewart Co. @ 2:30.  Saturday, they play Creekwood at 10am.

Not sure who is going to rock and roll in district 12AA, CPA always seems to come out on top.  I realize they lost quite a bit of talent, but I'm betting they will do OK.  I seen Cascade last year when they played Creek Wood at thanksgiving Tourn. in Chapel Hill.  They had a good team, but I think they had a lot of seniors.  Page lost a lot of players, the guard outside and the big girl inside are gone I know.  After that i don't know much about Dist. 12AA.

 

District 11AA will be led by Creek Wood.  Lewis County, Camden and Stewart County could make a run, but Creek Wood is the best team in 11AA.  They are led by 3 seniors in the starting 5.  Rachel Bell, Leah Grubb and Bailey Anthony.  

You're right.  Cascade lost 7 seniors last year.  Hoping we don't struggle too much, especially moving up to AA.  I haven't seen CPA but I've heard they can be fierce.

Ok so Cascade is new to AA.  What teams are doing well?  What players are ones to watch?  I'm ready for some BASKETBALL!

Schedule?  Anyone?  I know Cascade plays at Hooptown at 9, 12, & 2 but I don't know who we play.

Really sorry to hear that the band won't be there... The Cascade band is a big part of who "we" are and they make the game a lot more exciting. I know that a lot of parents of band members won't be at the game because they will be at the completion on Sat also...  bummer...

I know. . It really is a shame.  The band is like part of the team and helps get the crowd going for the team.  My "little one" will also be missing Lady Champions basketball tournament on Saturday because of the band competition.  Hopefully we can bring back a trophy though!
