I must say, I really enjoyed sitting on the Marshall County side. Your crowd was very entertaining. Great game until the 4th. We just got out-athleted late in the game. Marshall held their composure well, they were a little shocked early in the game at how well we were playing and you could see it in their attitudes, but they held it together and overcame the adversity. I don't see them losing the rest of the regular season. I was really surprised to see large numbers of Tiger fans leaving the game so early but after the parking lot situation, I now understand their motives.

MC is known to provide a bussing service for out of county players.

His prediction is going to be more accurate than the many "a lot closer than expected" forecast. Look for Giles to go with some gadgets and tricks when the pressure is turned up and MC gets up a couple possessions. As far as someone predicting MC to win this one but lose in the playoff rematch (if there is one) just think about this, OC hasn't won a playoff game in over 3 years, since he was at Giles before he left for greener pastures. Although two of his three playoff losses were to Hoover so that is a pretty bad run of luck. This rivalry is intense and is what high school sports are all about. I don't expect bobcat fans to blame the loss on the Oconner brothers being in the booth this time!

Just think about this, OC may not have won a playoff game the last 3 years in 6A Alabama football, but he went 16-6 in the playoffs during his 7 years at Giles. That includes one year when he lost to Marshall Co. in the regular season but beat them in the playoffs. He also has a record of 7-1 against Marshall Co. during that time. Plus, if Walt could manage to beat Osteen in the playoffs I think OC should be okay 😂

Seen one Wallace you have seen them all. Hard working, give it all you got and a competitor to the end. I think jafo's sundrop is a little darker than normal tonight. Womg has seen him play, Saturday game I think. The Sumac training facility has been in operation for some time now and if you graduated from there you know what its like to put in the work. I know all the mc boys like to #ringchasing but you wont have to go far to find one. There will be plenty on the sidelines Friday night and they all will be on old GC family fingers. I just think that these players are still learning OC's system, as well as how to win, something they aren't used to. This team will only get better each week.

Gonna make a prediction that Marshall wins by 14 this week. However, I think Giles wins the rematch in the playoffs.

Doubtful you'll hear much out of him. After all of the crap he talked about the current staff the last three years, that would be a lot of crow to eat. He never failed at making a thread interesting though.

 

On a side note, I'm glad his color commentary career came to an end. Very hard to listen to.

Wow, I figured someone would have got this started by now. If they have I wasn't going back 3 pages to find it. This game is very interesting. Giles has proven that they cant stop the run on mediocre teams so not sure where LC falls in that category. Walt on the sidelines vs GC and OC, where is the hype. This game is a toss up for me. But if it comes down to a close game I like GC's chances. Still a lot of questions that need to be answered on defense. See you in the Pit. GO CATS!!!

Did you just say it was all coaching? Have you no regard for the sanctions that Walt had to deal with that OConnor left behind? One year not allowed to start fall ball until the first day of school from my understanding and another year of no scrimmages. Lets be real. Walt was dealt a crap hand that he had to deal with and Giles fans ignored that and blamed him.

If the sanctions mattered that much, explain how Walt got to the title game his first season. Realistically, he should've had similar success in the following years with lesser sanctions than the first year. Unless... Could he have been winning off of OCs talent and coaching that first season?

Up til half yea it will be tight, rivalry game and OC& company will have the nightmare of playing their whole old staff, no one knows him better than those guys in tiger blue. But in second half MC's depth and play makers take over and it won't be close.

I think it was holding.Shelbyville is a good well coached ball team.And they got some big boys.Hats off to them.The Bobcats need a little O line work and they will be alright.

Okay, never saw a flag or the signal. I guess I was too occupied with excitement to notice. They were a very good team. Had we played the first three quarters I don't think it would've been close. Definitely the best game I've seen in a long time. Oh, and it was nice to have the crowd involved again as well.

We have a state championship, a former SEC QB, a current All SoCon QB at a military school, a current SEC DB, and a long win streak against Spring Hill. What've the Raiders accomplished lately?
