What WC football players are also playing basketball?

I was at the game Friday night, and WC has talent. The biggest difference this year is line depth, IMO. Statewide stat of the night: Warren County's offense never saw second down in the first half against Dekalb. Eight offensive plays, five first downs, three touchdowns. I don't care who you're playing, that's impressive. Garibaldi is also a difference maker. When teams don't get to return kickoffs, it's a huge advantage.

Does anyone know how the Tennessee teams fared in the 17U nationals last week?

Didn't he play for Mark Komara's team out of Huntsville? I thought that was the connection between Smith and Jackie Butler.

Chuck Benson is currently being investigated by UT's compliance office regarding Tyler Smith's recruitment. I don't know if his father is implicated or not, but I don't think Smith played much for the Travelers. I could be wrong.

How is Warren Swann doing?

Gomab, has Pearl or anyone from the UT staff been in contact with you or Willie? What are your thoughts on Pearl's ability to get in with the '06 instate class?

What is going on with the coach?

The 7th and 8th grade teams should be county wide and playing feeder schools for the district. The county league could still exist as another option so more kids could play. This seems like a no-lose proposition to me.

In basketball only, it would be nice to approach Luna and see if he wants to come back and settle down. He and his wife are from here and he is in the area frequently. Of course, he was also one of the the first WC coaches to call for specialization at an early age. I don't know what effect that would have on the current climate.

What's the deal with this team? They seem to have some talent. I know that Warren Swann has played high level AAU ball and is listed on some recruiting websites, and he hardly plays. Is there a conflict with the coach or is he difficult to coach in general? Is the coach there in trouble?
