  1. I'm sure this will rub some people the wrong way, but in my opinion, as long as Gaddis is the head coach, I don't think OR will make it to the championship game.

I think Gaddis is a great coach, don't get me wrong....but something happens around playoff time like him changing up play calling or not using the playmakers enough. I could be wrong, but that's just my opinion.

  2. Hey, we are happy to be here! No one expected us to be any good this year since we lost so many good players last year, but we are back. We are receiver by committee with Tim Taylor at RB. We try to be balanced as always. We have to stop their potent rushing attack and do not give up any cheap plays in passing game. Should be a good one. We have nothing to lose. Like I said, nobody expected us to really be in this position at the beginning of the year. The pressure is on everyone else,

Bologna!  East has been loaded for several years now!  I for one expect that you should win it all!!

  3. I am not associated with Trenton Peabody football. However, I hope the best for them with there coaching search. But time is running out. I would expect there will be a coach at the helm in Trenton, but its not. So its time to just pick a coach and hope for the best. But again, time is running out might half to pick an assisstant, lick your chops and hope for the best.

We disagree. The right hire is more important than the fast hire. I would prefer to hire the best instead of "hope" for the best. I like many of you all have no real say in the decision making process but feel our adminstration will make a good decision.

  4. Go ahead and county Hookfin off of your list. He would defitnely stay at Liberty, you talking about that building a powerhouse program with consecutive playoffs appearances and is one game shy away from being at Cookville. With the open enrollment of all the high schools, Liberty will be a winner, therefore kids would want to play football for a semi-finalist team. Liberty is a team that will win with Speed, that is how they are going to have to win, by using their speed. I will admit, Peabody does not have the athletics that Liberty has.

What about Dan Bland, Jim Glover, or Shane Jacobs as an possibility for the head-coaching job.

Honestly none of those names really inspire me. I mentioned Coady because I thought he was in the mix last time, I could be wrong. I mentioned Comer because he is mentioned for every moderately high profile job in west TN, probably just uses them to milk the cow in McKenzie, but you never know. I mentioned Hookfin because i saw you posting and figured I could get you going. I did not really expect he would be interested unless the price were right. I want to go out and steal a good coach from a good program. We should be good to great every year and if we pay them and the assistants they will come. We have plenty of athletes to win year in year out.

  5. Vowell is out of the hunt at Peabody, he told the team early this morning. He also rejected a big paycheck by not heading to Trenton. And i agree, North Side will be the big loser, and Liberty will be the winner in the open enrollment.

We need to go after Coady, Hookfin or Comer. If we are paying right we can pull another good coach.

  6. We got the toughest quad. I still feel we can get to the semis against Adamsville. We should beat Humboldt, then Westwood and Dresden though they are all pretty good. If we are healthy when we get there we will win against Adamsville.

If we are going to make a great run this will probably be the best year to do it. 2A the next four years will be considerably better come playoff time. All I can say is WOW.

  7. This ole Milan boy wouldn't put HC near the top, they would be at the top.

Secondly HC would beat the brakes off of North Side or South Gibson,

Milan has been better but you can take this to the bank, if we meet SG

In the playoffs, which I hope we do, it will be just like last years 52-7 drumming.

Oh yea, I almost forgot Milan would be second on the list.

I believe at the end of the 2012 campaign South Gibson will be 2-0 against Milan.

  8. Peabody.....LARGE!

I think we may have found our grove on the defensive side of the ball. The kids seem to be more comfortable with the 3-4 each week.

The offense sputters at times. But we should be able to run the ball this week.

I was wrong last week. We have to take care of the ball better. I expect you are right, but I will let you be the one to say it. I will simply say I expect us to win. Get and stay healthy. Roll Tide Roll!!!!
