im backkkk. Been waiting til the season started and I forgot my password. hahaa. But from what I seen from central they could be 3-7 or 7-3. Depending on whos running it and dropped balls..

Lebanon won't come close to beating MJ in 2013. The freshman team was slow getting started. I think they lost their first 4 games before they learned how to win. They didn't win a game in 8th grade. Varsity pulled them aside and told them anything other than winning is not excepted at MJ. Then the world changed for them. They were a totally different team at the end of the season.
MJ and Beech will battle for 9AAA title.
Wilson Central will also be in the battle for 9AAA. This year will be their chance. Have a lot of strong players returning for the senior class and also have some strong underclassmen.
-
Congrats on Lebanon's new hire. Hope he can rebuild the program.
-
Did Alsup and Sweeney ever see the field at those schools? Pretty sure Sweeney spent all of his time at TTU and Alsup quit.
-
Dooley is a possibility. Can maybe get lebanon a few non district wins.

Centennial. Portland. And station camp made it to playoffs on our cake schedule... May not have done so well... Beech and mj made it also....WC just didnt progress through season. No players on that squad are to blame. Anyone preseason would not predict them with more than 5 wins this season. They had fun but Became to predictable. Most teams made adjustments for playoffs to help them. Not sure what we did. But i do know its a good start for this program and they may do better next year. Thank you to the seniors. A fun season for us fans. To our future seniors its offseason. Let go

Hahaha yeah ive heard a few folks say they would be able to run through their line as well. Linebackers need a big game. I know Indy has a pretty good run defense from what i saw in a scrimmage. Idk how many good defenses they have faced
-
Hope our Run defense from the Beech, Shelbyville, and Hendersonville game shows up Friday night... I hear a lot of the credit goes to BHS offensive line. So curious to see how they match up.
-
Central players get pumped up its what yal have worked for all year. So don't make it your last game of the year. Yal come out friday night with a win. Yal had some Tough losses against strong teams which does not even matter now. Yal have made it to the playoffs. First time Central as a 6a team has made it to the playoffs. So represent and make your record 1-0 against Brentwood. Lets get some points up early. WC 30-27.

Mount juliet has the edge for staying in the game till the end and pulling off wins. No matter if its ugly or not.
-
Hurd had 77 yards and a TD before being injured and not running the ball anymore in the game. I wouldn't necessarily say that he was stopped as is if he would've continued playing, he would have been well over a 100 yards (which most running backs would feel was a pretty successful night). Was it a successful night for what he is used to? Absolutely not. Did Wilson Central effectively contain him. Yes, they did.
Mt Juliet has a great running game. McCathern is powerful and Hopkins in super fast, but Wilson Central's defense should not be underestimated. They are fully capable of handling Mt. Juliet's running game.
As for the passing game, Chowbay is not the QB that Roundtree is (not yet), and if he is on Friday night and his receivers do their part, Wilson Central comes away with this win.
Well over a 100?? Doubtful. He was averaging I guess you would say 25 a quarter. Yal beat us in the air on this particular night. So If he was to continue to get yards on the ground to break 100 on central's defense yal wouldnt not have won. Like I said yal won in the air just like Mount juliet would have to do if they have any chance beating Central.
Far as Chowbay not being a Roundtree. Lets not forget Roundtree on a team with 2 wins his sophomore year he threw for about 1200 yards(8.5 games). His offensive line was young. He had someone in his face constantly and his leading receivers this year.. Chris Lee, Alex Price, and Gabe Angel. Chris was out for 6 games and Angel was just in 8th grade, and we did not graduate any receivers. Central's offensive line deserve a lot of respect this year. They have kept our qb protected and we have a great ground game. I give the edge to Central in defense, offense, and special teams.

I would rather stay in quad 3 than play blackman with all the confidence they got right now
-
The WC players are ready. Majority of the games this season everyone has picked the opposing team b/c just about everyone has beat them the past two years. Its a different more mature team and few teams have been able to run the ball on this Central D. It's going to be a big battle for the Wilson County championship.

Central 30-21

Predictions, folks?
I say both teams come out slow after their bye weeks, but Wilson Central (still upset after the Beech game) puts the hammer down on Station Camp.
Final? Wilson Central 38, Station Camp 14
I could see them comin out slow also. 17-14 at half and WC gets the win 31-14
-
Yeah a little ahead of ourselves lol. I see possibly a close game. We need the run defense we had against beech and not portland. Hope our secondary ready for yals star receiver and that we just come off a upsetting loss and a bye week ready to go.

While the love-fest continues for WC's D (and rightfully so, they played very well) I'll sing the praises of one of the most underrated units in Middle TN, the Beech D. They are giving up 12 pts per game and held a high scoring WC offense to less than half their season average. They also picked off the best qb in the district (at least thats what the WC fans told us over and over) twice, and held him to 4 for 14 for 36 yds. They've picked off 13 so far this season and have a +9 turnover ratio. As it turned out, most all of us were wrong on here before the game. The real stars in this game were both team's defenses and Beech's passing game. If the refs hadn't blown the call on a spectacular catch by Beech's 21 on the WC sidelines, Kenitzer would have been 14 for 14.
The bottom line with this team is, they are not concerned with who gets the credit. They have one goal in mind.
Of course the main discussion will be Wilson Central's Defense. They stopped the best running back in the district. (or nation at least thats what we hear) We stopped yals running game and yal stopped our passing game. If our receiver hadn't of been shoved or fell the first turnover would of been more likely a td or at least got a field goal. NO one cares about the 2nd interception anyways. 38 seconds left on the clock on the 15 yard line and he was trying not to take a sack. On a side note. Beechs receivers did make spectacular catches.

Thanks Jalen's Mom!!

I've had a bunch of time to think about this game and this is what I come to the conclusion of.
If Wilson Central's run defense can stop Hurd effectively throughout the course of the entire game, they'll pull out the win.
This isn't to say that Beech doesn't have other players that are dangerous and can score, but look at what Station Camp did in the first half against Beech, they stopped the whole machine. Yet, in the second half, Hurd broke loose and turned that entire game around.
Hurd is the key to the entire Beech attack (air and ground) and so far when Hurd has been effectively stopped for minimal yardage, Beech can't figure out what to do (at least that's been what I've seen).
The first half will be key as Wilson Central tends to like to feel opponents out in the first half and shut them down in the second. They won't have the opportunity to do that tomorrow night.
Here's my prediction:
If Wilson Central can stop Hurd early and hold the Beech attack through the course of the game: 24-21 WC
If Hurd breaks loose, it's going to be a bit different: 38-21 Beech
People aren't stupid. Hurd is the key to Beech's success. Stop Hurd, beat Beech. It's that simple.
finally someone makes a reasonable statement in this message board

This game will have alot to do with who's defense comes to play bc both offenses put up alot of points. 38-35 central
-
Centrals qb didnt play for freshman team either.
-
Portland wins big. 35-10
-
Anyone heard how many ppl they are predicting to attend this game?
-
Some games have a live video broadcast. This one might. Just go on wilson centrals home page.
