OK. I have to admit, Lookout came to play. They were more intense that South Pitt. thats why they one. Both teams have good players and I think, for the most part, most of the players had a good game. I agree with Hawk on this one. It could have gone either way, and honestly, they should have beaten us by eight, but Summers hit a lucky 3 from half court at the buzzer. One of SP's problems tonight was that they got in foul trouble quick. I'm not blaiming the reffs either, they were ligit fouls. The reffs at the game were horrible. Anyone at the game would agree, but they werent only bad on one side. They missed many things SP did, as well as LV. Hawkins didn't have his best night (thank goodness), only having around ten points, i think (correct me if i'm wrong). I'm not going to make excuses. What happened happened. They one in a close one this time, we won in an even closer one last time. It was a hard fought game on both sides. SP just couldn't finish

Once again, my comment was dripping with sarcasm. Dan Wadley is the coach of Temple, which is in District 5. District 5 and District 6 make up Region 3.
I, unlike yall, will admit that i dont know everything, but I'm not stupid. Just because i dont know the names of other teams coaches doesn't mean that i'm dumb. I know who is in our district, and region.

Are you capable of reason? I was joking thinking the Richard Hardy coach should win the award. It was dripping of sarcasm like this, South Pitt shouldn't be overlooked, they are worthy of their #13 ranking.

Since you obviously know everything, why did you say Wadly should get coach of the year in district 6a when Temple is in 5a.

And i am not saying that SP is going to go up to Lookout Valley or CCS and "whomp" them. All I'm saying is that SP has a good team and they shouldn't just be looked over.

okay. for all of you people who feel the need to get smart about everything.
First off, I know South Pitt has an easy schedule so their 18-2 record should probably be about a 4-2 record (just throwing numbers out there).
Second, I do not think that South Pitt is the best team in their district, or region. I was just saying that when you look in the newspaper, it doesn't say

it says that SP is in first place. Thats all I was saying. I'm sorry for any misunderstandings. Yes I do think that CCS will come out on top in district 6, but they arent yet.
Third, I do think that Coach Lewis should be thought about for the coach of the year. Ill say for the last time, it is his first year and So. Pitt is having a record breaking year (for their school). If you dissagree with me then thats fine. Thats why they vote to see who gets it.

Actually s pitt is not the number one team in their district, CCS is because they beat valley and have the current tie breaker on s pitt because they beat them by 20. Who cares if i cant spell thats what they have spell check for when i write papers on the computer, as opposed to the crayons that you use at richard hardy.
Actually there statman, So. Pitt. is number one in their district. They are 8-1 and Chatt. Christian is only 6-1. So technically So. Pitt is number one

yeah it does still count (thats one of the 2 in their 18-2 record). All i'm saying is that it's hard to hold it against SP's coach. There are many coaches who have been coaching a long time and still haven't beat CCS. It should come as no surprise that CCS beat them, because (if nothing else) SP's coach is new, and CCS is a great team.

and it was SP's fourth game of the season. That means it was only their coaches fourth game coaching...EVER

The CCS game was a good game. Well, the first half was. South Pitt was winning because they were being patient and working the ball around and taking good shots. The second half spanking that SP took was not due to bad coaching, or even no enthusiasm. It was due to So. Pitts. players getting excited because they realized that it was possible for them to win against a team of Chatt. Christian's calliber, and firing up shots wanting to be the star. The second half is not anything a South Pittsburg fan is to be proud of. It was a great example of how to lose a game. Then when the Groothois boy (not sure which one) did a 360 dunk, it just put the nail on the coffin and South Pittsburg shut down. Thats why they lost by 20. Not only bad coaching. There were some things that SP's coach should have done differently, but he is still learning. I will mention again he is a first year coach.

I agree. South Pitt does have an easy schedule. That has been pounded into my head all year. If that is the only team that SP beat that is worth anything, its because its the only team that they played thats worth anything (excluding CCS).

Ill agree with you vols. It is easy to get over heated. and Hawk, the punch came in when people started talking and spreading stuff that they didn't know anything about.

First of all, you are probably right, I shouldn't have said anything about the CCS game. But I dissagree with you saying that Seq. Co. isnt a good team. They do not have a great record, but they play in a hard 2a district. South Pitt. being a small school, even for 1a, doesn't have nearly as many athletes to choose from, whereas Seq. Co. and Marion Co. have probly twice as many students to choose from.

South Pitt has beaten Sequatchie Co. and Marion Co. which are both 2a.
They have beaten Lookout Valley, and were beating CCS at half time of that game which was their 4th game of the season.

I would like to mention that, at the moment, they are number one in their district. I would also like to mention that you are contradicting yourself if you are saying that South Pitt is the third best team in their district. They have already beaten Valley once this season. So can we say that South Pitt is the better team?

yeah and we are saying that you shouldnt be on here saying you will win the region, until you HAVE proven yourself. If anything, you are just making people want to beat yall even worse by saying things on here. I would just take it easy until you guys beat ccs or some team of that caliber.
I will say again, I do not think that South Pitt. is the best team in the region. I have never said they are. They may not even be the best in their district (we'll see in the next week if they are). i just think everybody should give them SOME respect because of the good teams they have beat.

I just got these stats today. South Pitt. missed 15 layups in the first matchup, which they are not missing now. They also missed many free throws, which they are also not doing now. I'm not sure about Valleys stats that game, but that already has South Pittsburg winning by over 30 in their first matchup. That sounds very impressive to me. I dont think SP will have a perfect game tomorrow, but I bet they will do a whole lot better. You never know, maybe they will get Hawkins heated and thrown out again. If LV hasn't gotten a whole lot better, like South Pitt. has, I'm going to change my prediction from Valley by 3 to South Pitt by 3.

It's true they haven't beaten a lot of good teams, but they haven't been losing to the teams they've been playing either. You can make a case that they haven't proven they're a top quality team yet, but if you say that, you always have to conclude it's not been proven they're not a top quality team. All that will be decided in the district and region.
I agree with you completely. I am not trying to say South Pitt. is the best team, because they havent proven themselves...yet... all I'm sayin is that just because they have an easy schedule doesn't mean that they are bad. Because, again, they have not only beat these bad teams, but they have also beaten the good ones. My only problem is that they are extremely inconsistant. They can go from beating Lookout Valley and Sequatchie Co. to being in close games with teams like Sale Creek and City (or atleast closer than they should have been).

Oh yeah and the reason they only beat Sale Creek by five is because for the last 3 min. of the game Coach Lewis "called off the dogs" and put in a young group of growing players. Not to mention that Sale Creek kept their starters in when SP pulled theirs out and put the B-team in. South Pittsburg had a 20 pt. lead when they pulled their starters out.Coach Lewis was being nice to Sale Creek and almost payed for it. I'd be willing to bet those B-teamers wont see much time on the floor for a while. I know they wont against Sale Creek. Lewis should play the first 5 the whole game and completely blow them out.

Honestly, I hate to admit it, but i'll agree with you. Like i said, it was a hard fought game on both sides, and i think the better team, with the better bench won.
