Tennessee Wrestling Family,
As some of you probably have heard, I am now coaching in college at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. I just wanted to thank everyone across the state for the hard work you put in to help improve wrestling in Tennessee. I will truly miss Tennessee and all of you guys, but I'm very excited about this opportunity. If anyone ever needs anything please don't hesitate to reach out to me. This is my new email address (cclevela@usna.edu) and I have the same cell number (931-808-8335). Keep Navy in mind for camps this summer as well, we almost have our dates locked down so keep an eye out for our camp flyers. Thanks again everyone!Cody Cleveland- 2

All of May leading up to SE Regionals we will be having an open practice room to anyone that wants to come.
We practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-6pm.
We have McCallie, North GA , Red Bank, ND, and few other guys show up for these workouts. Mike Newman and Cody Cleveland run these workouts. We show freestyle and Greco techniques and wrestle live. If there are also guys that want extra workouts, we have guys training for UWW Cadets and a few other tournaments so call me (931-808-8335) for information. Thanks.

Here is a petiton on change.org about the state tournament. Lets try to get the ball rolling any way we can.

This article talks about Iowa's state tournament. Look how nice the venue looks and how it is a real state tournament feel. We need to get on the national message boards and bring national attention to the "Cow Palace". It's embarrassing telling other states about our state tournament. I saw a college coach at our state tournament to recruit some kids, and it was his first experience with the "Cow Palace". He told me it was a ridiculous site to host a state tournament and he couldn't believe how inadequate the venue was. I know several post like this happen every year, but it's time for national attention not just local bickering.

Do what the Russians do!! They start doing gymnastics at a young age and are just around the sport when younger, but don't start competing until they are about middle school age.
-
It looks like the big difference was first round matches compared to byes. WC had about 6 or 7 first round matches compared to Cleveland's 3. That's a lot of extra points considering all of those were pins too. Can't wait until February!

Brock Herring Wrestled at 132 not Trent Maddox
Ward at 120 is a senior.
At 126 Fuller got a takedown in the first period rode out Westbrooks the rest of the 1st period. Westbrooks took down and got ridden the entire period. Then in the third Fuller chose down and Westbrooks turned him for 3 nearfall.
182 was Ariel Bong not Long

Coaches I need to start getting an idea of who is going to bring JV guys to this event. Please start letting me know if you want to participate and roughly how many kids you're going to bring. Since this is being held the night before the McCallie Invitational we will be using 6 mats. Hopefully we will speed through and make it an early night. Please email me at ccleveland@mccallie.org Thanks!

Thursday, December 18, 2014
McCallie will be hosting its annual JV Rumble again this year. It will be held the Thursday before the McCallie Invitational on December 18, 2014, with wrestling starting around 5:30pm. There will be satellite weigh-ins at your own facility and you’ll send me your guys’ information. Ideally everyone would get three matches, but the goal is to get everyone at least two. Please contact me with any questions.
