The fact that I do know more about 5-6 teams in my district (who YES I HAVE seen play this year) makes me smarter than a guy like you who don't know anything outside of Giles County basketball. Really now, what could you possibly tell me that I don't already know about Lewis County OR Page??? The fact of the matter is that all of you Giles County fans get so excited about basketball season because your football team is so terrible. Page, Sycamore, Lewis County, Harpeth, Cheatham County, and Loretto are all playoff teams on the gridiron. You guys lay down everynight and rub one out because you know that basketball is the only thing you've got in Pulaski. Yourself, willyp, wneely, tcross, GCHS05, and others have always gotta get on here and run down other teams because they are supposedly not in Giles County's league. I on the other hand have given Giles County credit time after time. WHY??? I have seen them play in person GCfan79 at Memorial Gym against <a href='http://www.coacht.com/inside/team.cfm?SchoolID=37&SportID=3' target='_blank'>Brentwood Academy</a>. Even though Giles County did lose that game, I still walked away very impressed with them. Tyler Smith and Coffey are good. The role players however are not as good as what you guys have had in recent years. That is not only my opinion, but almost everyone else who has seen Giles in recent years who has half a brain would tell you the same thing.How many times have YOU seen Sycamore, Waverly, or Harpeth play this year GCfan79??? Tell me as much about those teams as what I know about your team. Come on now genius (BTW, try not to use that word 50 times in your upcoming post). I don't have to pretend what I know GCfan79 because believe it or not I could probably tell you more about Giles County than what you know. Tell me something insightful outside of the fact that they are big, athletic, and can jump out of the gym. Tell me something outside of the fact that Zach Holt is one of the streakiest shooters I've ever seen. In last year's regional opener against Harpeth, he could not miss from downtown. In last year's Cheatham and Sycamore games, he could not throw it in the ocean. This year against <a href='http://www.coacht.com/inside/team.cfm?SchoolID=37&SportID=3' target='_blank'>Brentwood Academy</a>, he was actually pretty decent. Last night when I listed to the game on the radio, Holt sounded like a guy who could not shoot. Coffey is yalls only three point option now that Shannon is gone. IF U LOOK AT TYLER SOMETIMES HE DON'T EVEN PLAY HARD! TYLER PUTS OUT ATLEAST 5 ASSITS A GAME/ HE IS NOT THE ONLY PLAYER ON THE TEAM! THEY HAVE THIS ONE DUDE THAT CAN SHOOT WITH THE BEST OF THEM NAME ZACH ROBERTS! AND TRICE WOULD NOT BE CONTAINED IF HE PLAY WITH A LITTLE MORE HEART! THE WHOLE GILES COUNTY TEAM IS GOOD, BUT THEY NEED TO PLAY LIKE THEIR LIFE IS ON IT!I'm not a GC fan... I do, however, love how tyler has improved his game over the past year... If both teams are "at their best"... Waverly loses by 15-20... They can only hope to be at their best and Giles at their worst... Tyler won't be stopped... So u may want to work harder on containing him.. Cheatham did a very good job at holding him to 18 points.... I feel sorry for teams the rest of the tournament... I have a feeling some kids are going to get lit up.... Including ralston and the rest of waverly... I'm sorry but Waverly's star and GC's star aren't even comparable.... -

AND 4TH IN THE SPORTSMED SHOOTOUT! THERE IS NO WAY IN HE** THAT HUMBOLT WILL BEAT BOLIVER! REMEMBER 90-50 FINAL SCORE OF LAST GAME! TELL JOE TO PLAY TEAM BALL AND THEY COME CLOSE TO BEATING BOLIVER! HA,HA! ANYWAY WHO IS GOING TO STOP TYLER ON HUMBOLT! HOLLA BACK!I like the matchup but I'm sure Humboldt will beat Giles County because they're region is weak. I'm from district 8 and i have just been watching people on here and i really want to know if you people believe any team around here really stands a chance against memphis teams in both AAA and AA. Giles Co. dominates against teams in there district b/c it is the weakest district in the state. Giles doesn't come close to matching up with Bolivar but they come closer to Liberty who they will probably host in the substate. Good-luck but thats about as far as it goes. Sorry, franklin, beech, hunters lane, hillsboro, and seigal, you all have awesome middle tn teams but just like every year, no one will come close to beating the west teams (memphis). The best 4 teams in the state are all from the same substate so unfortunatly only 2 will make it to the boro. Jackson Northside, Fairly, Ridgeway, and White Station. EAST TN is weak so please stop talking about winning state. Year in and year out east fans hype up teams from over there and i go to watch them in the boro and they are weak. (last year dobyns bennett) Bradley Central is the only team that even has a chance of making it to the 2nd round. Im not trying to bash teams i'm just sick of reading all this stuff (especially seigal fans) about winning state when truth is, the west will win again because they have more athletes and more size than anyone. Post if you think differently.

There was a thread started a couple of days ago in which a Giles County fan stated that he had made the team but I think he jumped the gun a bit. Receiving the nomination in itself is a great honor but apparently the McDonald's All-American committee did not think he was on the same level as the country's most elite 25 to 30 seniors. -
