Division 1A loses FCS and gains Goodpasture. Probably a wash for the rest of teams involved. Congrats to FCS. Based on seeing them in a couple of weekend tournaments I figured they were the prohibitive favorite and they proved themselves so.

I'd be more concerned with the overall format that results in the top 3 Class A finishers being private schools, and two of the top three in Class AA. And the only public school in that group should have already been in Class AAA.

What's even better is the fact that GP who won AA will be competing in A next year.

Eagleville's head coach is Kara Leathers. She is a 5th grade teacher at the elementary school. She is assisted by Megan Ferrens who teaches 4th grade at the elementary school.

Just FYI.

EHS did in fact win. I would say that some confusion was caused in reporting due to both teams being the Eagles.

This is the first time Eagleville has appeared in the state tournament since their coach played middle hitter for them from 98-01. I believe they made tournament appearances 4 straight years with at least 1 runner up. That stretch occurred before they started splitting the classifications.
