Defeated won the 1a title in the TNT tournament Springfield today over EK Baker. Congratulations to the Lady Braves.

Nice win for the Lady Braves. #4 and #32 are the two of the best two way players I've seen at the middle school level. Congratulations to the undefeated Defeated Lady Braves.

How is the TNT this yr and is this the championship game? How is both teams?

It was a fantastic championship game. St. Mary's was ahead by 10 in the fourth, but Hermitage Springs came back and made three consecutive 3 point shots to trim the lead to 3 with with 20.7 seconds left. Hermitage Springs tried their hardest to secure a steal in the backcourt, but it wasn't meant to be. St. Mary's was able to get it across and lay it in at the buzzer to secure a 46-41 victory. Great game by two great teams. Congratulations to the Blue Angels. Those kids deserve to enjoy this championship.

I really don't know about the favorite to win because I don't know much about any of the teams with the exception of Swiss Memorial. But I do know that they (Swiss) are undefeated and winning by an average margin of about 30 pts. I really don't know how they will respond to a close game because they haven't been in one this year. They do have two returning players from last years team that made all tournament and honorable mention in the TNT. It should be a great tournament!

It was a bad call and had it been turned around a Watertown fan would have said the same thing. We were trying to foul. We fouled him 3 or 4 times before the intentional foul was called. It's like he waited until we did something drastic an then called it intentional. Then with 3 seconds to go in the game we foul again but no call and time ran out. This is why a team should not be allowed to host a game of this magnatude. The one ref was biased and it showed. He represented well. Watertown played hard they are a good team with a very good coach and I hope they go on to win it all. JC had their chances we had the ball down one with 25 seconds to go and turn it over so some of the blame falls on us but the one ref clearly decided the outcome and thats what hurts.

Between that game and the previous one, that ref should never call a tournament game ever again. Clay County was cheated just as bad as Jackson County. If there were fair referees, it would be Clay County vs. Jackson County for the Region 4A Championship.

They have NO chance. What you do against the weak competition down there won't help you against either of these two teams. Best you can hope for is to lose by less than 20 if you host. If you lose and travel up here it will be 40. Whitwell lost to VanBuren, who Jackson County could have beaten by 100 either time they played them and Silverdale lost to a very weak Stone Memorial team by 28 points and Clarkrange beat that same team by 40. Let me slow it down for you neither team has a chance to win after tonight.

Or they lost to Clay County who lost by 25 to Clarkrange in the District 7A semifinals.

Both teams can punch their tickets to Murfreesboro right now.

Christ the king will win single a. Ezell Harding will win 2a. Brentwood academy will win 3a. Station camp will win 4a. I have done my research. Can anyone match the winners I am picking.

What style did Eastside play? How big were they? Any good shooters?

South Fentress could win 2A just because they are feeder school to Clarkrange, who has a long-standing women's basketball tradition. I am clueless about 1A though. Please help me.

I think South Fentress is a dangerous team to play in 2A. However, I still would like more info on 1A.

There coach is developing his players every year. They won it last year and are favorites this year.

No, they finished second to Dyer. They had several eight graders as well last year.

Also, what has happened to our good friends from FCS? Season's not going to so well so nothing as been said!

They put to much effort into recruiting that QB AJ Long from Pennsylvannia and not enough about in basketball.

Clay got JC's best game as they always do. Clay is a solid team and still a favorite to win the district but JC proved they can play with the best in 7A and i fully expect them to win when Clarkrange comes to Gainesboro as well. Not sure when the last time Clay won at JC i know its been awhile. I remember when my oldest son's team from Clay Co. came into Gainesboro in 06' they were undefeated and ranked 4th in the state. They were outplayed from the start of the game and JC cruised to an easy win. Coach Flynn's home district record is very impressive. He has only lost 3 or 4 home district games in all the years he has coached there. So this was no surprise to any of us who know the game.

Clay won at Jackson in OT just last season. It hasn't been awhile since Clay won at Jackson.
