  1. Guys quit talking to him. He wants that. So lets just talk about how good Lawrence Co. and Tullahoma did tonight.

Most fun I've had in a long time. Kind of like pot calling the kettle black when all of you keep responding to my sarcastic comments. So heck we all need our sleep as pre school does start early.

  2. Now as far as are officials held accountable for their actions. The answer is yes. Supervisors make their rounds to games as they can. Coaches also have the local assignor's name and number that they can call and report on specific scenarios.

What repurcussions has anyone ever seen when an official has been in error that determines the outcome of a game, either because of incompetence or as revenge against a coach or school or simply mistakes? To answer your question about being held accountable, I have yet to witness it, ever. Coaches have sent tape after tape to supervisors and to the TSSAA and nothing ever happens to the ref. What happens to a player or coach? 2 game suspension and a fine for the school / coach.

I can assure you that officals are held accountable for mistakes that are made while on the floor. The thing to remember is that it will not be made public and the supervisor will not come on Coach T and announce it to the world. Another thing to remember, not all situations that are deemed a mistake by an offical are actual mistakes. I believe most all officals are hard working and are trying to get better but certainly there is a small percentage that make all seem bad and that is where the work needs to be done in "weeding" out the bad ones

Not sure about any supervisors but a guy in middle tennessee that has some hand in assigning officials is Ray Moffett and he is himself incompetent and his son may be the worst official wearing a black and white shirt.

  3. I say we give a big congrats to everyone but SHELBYVILLE!

I certainly agree. Both LCHS and T'town deserve some props. Being top dog can't last forever. Shelbyville has had their run. May be time for someone else, I don't know. I do know that everyone in attendance tonight was so appreciative that the team was able to walk to the dressing room witout incident.

bball rocks...just curious. Did they change locker rooms? Move the opposing student section? Or did Coach Thomas just not coach tonight? Because I'm sure one or all of these three things had to be different for the SCHS players to have made it to the locker room without any problems. :

I understand that your not happy, and you want to rain on our parade...but no one here really cares what you have to say.. :thumb:

And that my friend makes it all worth while and you can't do anything about it.

  5. Yes great wins by both Lawrence Co. and Tullahoma. Good job guys. Lawrence Co. did a great job keeping Columbia's post presence out of the game. Brink started hot finishing the first half with 15, but didn't get any in the second half. In the second half is where Shelley Young and Trent Garland let their presence be known. Also great bench play from Jake Richardson and Alex Brown helped the Wildcats when they got in foul trouble. A.J. McCroskey pressured the ball at all times and Andrew Cheatwood played a great physical game in the post. Shelley Young has stepped up defensively as of late against good teams in Shelbyville and Columbia. Good Job guys. Lets keep it rollin'. BBALLROCKS, Leave the negativity out of this.

Negative, I just stated that Shelbyville was able to walk to the dressing room without incident. Everyone there thought it was a very positive experience.

Well i would love to keep it off this topic but the topic i want to be on is LOCKED. And i still have a sour taste in my mouth from how the LCHS fans lured EA to do what he did...

  7. SCHS lost tonight. Great game by the wildcats, a huge win. Great individual efforts by Kyle Brink, Shelley Young, and Trent Garland. Fun game to watch, and before anyone asks, no post-game "incidents".(sorry to bring it up).

No post-game "incidents" that is great to hear. None at Shelbyville either. Team was able to walk right into the dressing room without people in their way.....just saying.

  8. Are these men, not all of them, held accountable for their horrible officiating? Jimmy Davis has to be the worst I've seen in years. Just wondering if they "butcher" a game is there any accountability?

help them out and become an offical. You seem to know how.

I'm not saying and never have that I know how. One thing is for sure, I know a skunk when I see one. Your repsonse is ridiculous. I was asking about them being accountable to anyone. Most people in many professions have to answer to someone about performance. Do you know or do you want to post off the cuff comments?

  9. I know I could never do it, but there are some who think they can, who can't. Its alot like American Idol, when there is an audition. Some think they can and the judges sit back and laugh and say are you serious dog? Kinda of like some of the calls that this guy makes.

  10. Did you notice you used the term "trying to get them off" ???

Dont think they ever got off the court and back to the bleachers....maybe in front of the locker room where the boys were headed.... so either way whatever happens will happen and anyone involved will be held responsible...so its been fun playing the devils advocat with you guys, but gotta get ready for the saints victory party tomorrow night..

And oh BTW the sawdust piece, just a little saying i picked up in a very important book......you might want to look it up sometime... it will give you peace about yourself...

One more thing your boys did play well and made the shots when they needed to..

  11. ok sorry about me arguing about all this... my appoligies....

I just wanted to state on here what i know, and then someone calls me ignorant for what i saw...

I hate that a cheerleader got knocked down pushed down or whatever....and believe me KT has 2 girls of his own and would never do that on purpose....

and yea i was at the game... The first T came whe KT said "blow the whistle" then isiah got the next T then Kt got another one as soon as the game was over.. i saw the fans rush the floor and knew nothing good could happen from this. so i actually made my way over to that area and saw most everything....The thing that upset me the most was how most of the younger kids were there to see how not to handle themselves...

What i dont like is that you guys did nothing wrong and SCHS is the only one a fault....at least that is what everyone from LCHS is saying on here...

  12. Yea don't think so.... FBI is not his cup of tea...really not sure why he is officiating either... but before calling me ignorant, read the whole post and quit writing things that i did not say.

No where in my post did i mention bottle being thrown....Come on im entitled to my own opinion just like you guys..

But since you brought up ignorance... i read on here that KT needs to lead by example...and by getting a T is not doing his players justice??? So what I am gathering here is that some of your buddies think that a good coach should never get a technical????

Correct me if I wrong on what i read....

  13. If I am not mistaken when twilley was ejected for a foul last year, andrews was tackled on the floor and no foul was called, in time a nose got busted and KT pulled Andrews from the game..

This all sounds to me that all the blame here is pointed to EA.. With that being said, is it suspicious to me or does anyone else find it bothersome that the folks at LCHS are trying to find ways to end a career of a great athlete??? Come on guys let it be.... you finally beat Shelbyville, great job.. but act like you have won before...

Now, I was there and I saw neither EA or any other player from SCHS "Go into the stands".. They did not have to go into the stands. The fans were on the court around the players...And i'm sure that the fans from LCHS, "that has never cussed or said a bad thing to another player", let the best player that they face walk right by them without one snide remark... come on, quit being so naive....

Was EA in the wrong for being upset when someone tossed water on him and calling him an ethiopien??? As far as I'm concerned he was just fighting back on what he knew what was about to happen... what?? you have about 50-60 fans all harrassing our players on the floor, that the players are only supposed to be on, and not feel anxious at all..

As far as the cheerleader im sorry that she was upset, but in the mix of all the charging the floor she was probably knocked down by her own "FANS"....KT would never push a kid to the floor on purpose.. and if you believe that then well you don't know KT at all...

I do understand that beating Shelbyville on their homecourt has to be the biggest thrill of your lifetime, but guys, at some point in your life you need to remove the plank from your eye instead of trying to remove the sawdust from mine...

  14. What are the rules regarding a coach getting a T in the game and then one after? I would think he would have to sit out the next game?? Apparently not since he is coaching tonight!

I was not at the game since I have no ties to either school. Reading this thread it is apparent that Andrews did hit a a LCHS student. Why then would the Shelbyville administration allow him to play tonight? He got in a fight on school property! What would be the punishment if it happened during the school day? I would think that since this is a school function that the punishment should be the same....as it should for all students throwing punches that attend either school.

Clay you have no idea even what you are saying. Coach Thomas was in Shelbyville tonight as his assistant coaches stepped to the plate in his absence.

  15. Boys and Girls Shelbyville knows they are in the wrong and they want this to just go away...they don't want ANDREWS to be suspended the rest of the year for his behavior. If you know anyone at TSSAA we need to push this issue....Coach Thomas created this enviroment and he should be ashamed...I watched his behavior the whole game very distasteful...and then some of the kids began mocking his behavior...How 'bout lead by example Coach.

How is Coach Thomas responsible for creating "this environment"? I suppose there has never been a LCHS coach question calls of the officials. The ones responsible for creating "this environment" would be the officials for such a horribly called game. The foul ratio is a joke in itself. Lead by example I hope like heck he is coaching when my boys grow up and he can have a part in their lives.

  16. BBALLROCKS, please settle down. They person who posted that was just asking a question. Besides the analogy that you used to Elvis Pressley was a terrible one. For all we know he very well could have been taken to jail, not saying that he did, but you must keep your mind open to all possibilities.

I am just sticking up for a very good friend in a sarcastic way. Yes I admit. I would trust Kevin Thomas with the lives of my two kids. He did not intentionally push anyone. I would guess trying to get to the locker room through a bunch of excited fans it most likely a little crowded. Did he bump her, maybe so and could have others as well.

As far as Andrews punching someone. I look at it this way. If you are going to taunt someone as he was taunted and he also had a drink thrown on him then you should be man enough to take any and all consequences. Was he right in doing what he did, probably not but do not wine like a baby when someone answers your call.

The refs were absolutley horrible. Are they to blame? They certainly officiated a bad game and got everyone excited. One of the refs, Jimmy Davis is horrible. Always has been and looks like he's getting no better. It is a shame that everyone else is held accountable for their actions except TSSAA officials. They do not answer to anyone unless a rule is broken. That is a real shame because it is the kids who pay the price.

SRO Barney, no jurisdiction at all in SCHS gym but over his students. He should have tried to help get them off court. He threatened to arrest our coach. What a laugh!!

Oh well should make for an interesting tournament.
