I am confused... Please restated your statement/question
What weight classes are top four go to state?
-
If your guy deserves to be picked..then what does it matter if his high school coach shows up to a meeting that happens before even an individual region tourney even takes place...shouldnt the kids be judged by what they actually acomplish and not whether a coach shows up...way to show the kids....so what you are saying is that a kid doesn't deserve to make the team if his coach cant make the trip to nashville....what happened to winning region then state and then the team is chosen from the actual best kids at state...just an idea
Well, all I am saying is that "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". Not that it is a great system but what system is actually great?
-
Seems like it is a great system. Lets have a handful of coaches come out and vote for the best wrestler before the tournament.
GoBlue,
Guess what? If your guy deserves it, then the coach should have equal interest to nominate and vote for him. If not, then I suggest that you voice your opinion to him to make it happen.

Posted where?
From my understanding Cyree was not allowed to be considered at 106lbs since he has only wrestled 113lbs all season, which sounds fair. He was moved to the 113lbs class and Im assuming it was a tie between Garang Madut of Glencliff and Cyree which prompted a coaches vote between Murfreesboro and Nashville coaches. Other members that I have seen posted: John Kramer,Elan Mccasland, Austin Richard, Tyler Sells, Scottie Boykin, Tyler Crane, and Bruno Ricardo Reagan

Now what? WG!
It's at least 1998 as the TSSAA website clearly shows. Not sure about before 1998 because that's as far back as the records show on that website.

Any luck getting the weekly (bi-weekly) individual rankings for D1?
-
You're mistaken.....
Oh really? Well, since when. Smart a@$!!!!!!
If he is wrong, send the correction.

I dont think anyone other than Soddy and Cleveland can beat a full strength Central. But i do think Beech can beat Ravenwood. I know they can. I also think they would have great matches with Heritage and Blackman. Whom they would have to beat to place if they beat Ravenwood.
Based on the latest District and Regional matches, don't count out Clarksville either. I see them wrestling Beech in the second conso round. Already beat Beech...
-
Going to be tough for Anthony from Hillwood to wrestle at the region tournamnet if he is ineligible to wrestle. According to this article, he has been to 5 individual tournaments when you are only allowed 4...
Really? Is that a rule?

Just before Region Dual Finals...a LOT of movement this week with all of the district head-to-heads and teams peeking going into the Region/State Duals.
Good luck to all of the teams competing on Thursday-Saturday to represent your Region at the State Duals.

Can anyone say when the individual rankings will be updated?
-
With the schools closed, what is the plan for Region 7 tournament tonight at Clarksville? Will they still wrestle or will it be rescheduled?
-
Soddy Daisy forfeits final match against Cleveland, meaning Cleveland WINS Region Duals!!
I am glad that I didn't pay to see that great match.
Nothing like forfeiting your chance at the #1 seed. DUMB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Friday night at Clarksville High for the Region Championships. Wrestling should start around 5pm. Yes, it will be Clarksville vs Hendersonville and Beech vs Dickson. Winners of those two matches then wrestle for the Region 7 Dual Championship.
How do Clarksville and Beech match up. Didn't see that they have wrestled at all this year?
-
District Duals are tonight at Clarksville HS. That means that if West Creek defets Dickson all the wrestlers at region duals would have a 4-lbs weight allowance as West Creek wrestled Northeast last night (22 January). 4lbs could really shake some things up!
But West Creek aint gonna beat Dickson.
-
Without seeing the pin, I would guess it was the spladle. I have always wondered why Crane was not #2 instead of Chad Solomon.
-
I heard that some teams have been having skin problems. I wonder if it is from the mats at The GP West Invitational, since these teams both attended the tourney.
-
Region 7 flexed some muscle this weekend. Champs at Science Hill tourney. 160 Humphreys and 182 Valentine... Champs at Hendersonville 106 Shelton of Springfield...120 Hackett From Beech....126 McCasland of Beech.... 132 Beatty of Rossview....138 Treloar of Hendersonville 152 Cavanough of Northeast... 160 Wilson of Hendersonville... 285 Podany of Beech...Champs at GP West 285 Reagan of Clarsksville....Region 7 is looking good.
Clarksville's 170 lb Tyler Crane lost in the finals to D2 #1Ranked Walthall CBHS 12-8.
Wiggins, 5th at 120
-
So what's the recap on this tourney?
Any results?
RESULTS????????
Anyone?
-
CBHS has 8 in the finals.
Clarksville 2 in the finals.
170 Tyler Crane vs Barrett Walthall CBHS
285 Bruno vs Cleveland
-
No cigar for Dickson County tonight. I believe the score was Clarksville High 37 Dickson County 33. I may be a tad bit off with that score though.
Dickson forfeited 138 and Heavy weight
Clarksville forfeited 113
Clarksville had pins from 170 Crane over Webster, 182 Russell over Valentine, Wiggins over Dickson 120
Good match, 160 Clarksville's D'Allesandro and Dickson's Humphreys. Very close match 6-7. Should be exciting District and Region Duals.
-
Other than Mr Mason that is...
No doubt there was another team there that may have Harrison's Matlock a match,,, which didn't make the trip, but the champ was getting scouted for sure.
By who?
-
Ok, how was the most outstanding match not the 182lb triple overtime match between Russell of Clarksville and Larue of Heritage? Come on man...
Some good wrestling there. I heard Clarksville had three or four out due to the flu? Any truth to that?
Region 7 champs were: Clay Cook over Rossview 138lb 5-4
Tyler Crane over Anthony of Hillsboro 170 lb score 15-0 TF
Kiel Russel over Schyler Larue of Heritage 182 lb 3-2 triple over time
Great matches through out the day. I only wish there would be more emphasis on the finals instead of just running right thru the tournament. All the finalists deserve it.
Also from region 7:
120 lb 3rd and 4th place: gonzo R.view pin Pope Clkville
126lb 3rd and 4th place: Sokol Harpeth pin Leslie Whitnall WI
132 lb 3rd and 4th place: Allen Indy tech fall over Beatty R.view
138 lb 1st and 2nd place: Cook Clkville over Gordon R.view 9-7
152 lb 1st and 2nd place: Garcia Hillsboro over Binns Sycamore 8-7
160 lb: 3rd and 4th place: Price Whitnall WI over DeAllesandro Clkville 6-4
170 lb: 1st and 2nd: Crane Clkville tech fall over Anthony Hillsboro
182 lb: 1st and 2nd: Russell Clkville over Larue Heritage triple OT.
195 lb: 1st and 2nd: Boykin R.dale pin Seay Syc
285 lb: 1st and 2nd: Evans Heritage pin Black Syc
Looks like Clkville had the only champions from Region 7.

drivle.....
as usual.
I wonder how having a screen name and not knowing who owns the screen name changes any opinion shared on here. Stupid remark.
I wonder how any transfers or not would cause the ranker to change where he might put them in the rankings....probably would not consider them better or worse because of this, since that wrestler is on the team and is starting, again drivel.
I think that is you have thin skin then doing the rankings may not be something you should do. It is an opinion like everyone else has on here, even the unknown guys that follow the rules and use a screen name.
It makes some since to have a little bias towards mid tn. teams, that is the prime recruiting grounds for MTSU. Nothing wrong with that, and I think the comment was as innocent as that and does not need to be dissected much further.
Drivel - (not drivle): defined as, 1. Saliva flowing from the mouth, or nose. 2. Childish / Silly
None of which are spelled "Drivle"... Nice, that's a great representation of your intelligence. Next...
"I wonder how any transfers or not would cause the ranker to change where he might put them in the rankings....probably would not consider them better or worse because of this, since that wrestler is on the team and is starting, again drivel."
Props first, spelled drivel right.
Second, what is this elaborate run on sentence? It does not even make sense. Can you explain it's meaning?
Third, you spelled your word right this time. Congratulations!
Fourth, (haha, this is my favorite)..."I think that is you have thin skin then doing the rankings may not be something you should do. It is an opinion like everyone else has one on here, even the unknown guys that follow the rules and use a screen name."
Give me a break with this jibberish. Then has to do with a time, than is appropriate.
The last sentence is ridiculous. Please state your school. We will move to get it investigated.
Next, why do you care of the geographic location of the guy that does the rankings? How about you give him a break and let him do what others enjoy. I guarantee that he does better than anyone else around. While you are allowing this to happen, get ahold of The Sylvan Learning Center. You may get more results from your posts.
Coach Knepper,
Thanks for the efforts. We all appreciate it.

I ran out of breath when I read that run on sentence. Geez can you try to make more sense in your posts?
