Not sure of date but suppose to be first game in rhea co Christmas tourney

RDale is good but has proven nothing yet this year. Blackman is the best team in the nation and if I've heard correctly Oakland is up and coming too this season and may be competing with Rdale. Clarkrange could very well win 8-AA this season if they were in it.

True but they will win this district with ease.L.a. might give them a game but still want beat them.All the other teams will get beat by double digits by them.

Maybe todays first game vs Trousdale will be a good game but doubt it.  The girls played hard but this is a joke playing these teams. 

 

Saw where Central beat Riverdale and Cannon County beat Franklin County last night. Central must be the real deal.

I think people forget cm girls are going into there fourth season together with pretty much the same group of girls

You couldn't put every team there together and even get a decent team

I think the dc girls will surprise some teams in 8aa this season

ok so we all agree York at 8th. I don't see UH at 7th. I still think LA is the class of the district till I see otherwise from Central Mag.

i do not think LA can hang with Centrals post play but like you said we will soon see.

Don't know much about cannon girls but I don know this: they are well-coached and will fight tooth and nail against everybody. What that means for the district is up for debate.

I here shae painter is the frontrunner.  I think the future is bright for lady pioneer basketball.

Agree that there were some looks they didn't take as well. Of course their #1 is always Bell but usually in the games I've seen the others aren't so tentative to pull the trigger.

 

Zone definitively pushed Bell out a little but the offensive rebounds for Fulton made the big difference IMO.

 

It is my understanding UT never seriously pursued her. Coach Warlick missed on this one I think. I believe Bell is AA miss basketball whether she wins it or not. Best high school player I've ever seen.

I paid 40 dollars to watch my team get beat I stayed and watched bell and got my money's worth.

La gave etown a good game we can give la a good game Fulton destroyed us. There defense is for real best i have seen this year.  I am not saying we could beat etown but we could play with them.

LA has one of the best coaches in the state that is not my opinion that is a fact.

Bledsoe vs. Central was a great game to watch. Neither team held more than a 5 point lead and then it was back and forth in the 4th quarter until Bledsoe got to a 5 point lead then Central hit a 3 to cut it 2 in the final minute and Bledsoe missed a couple of free throws and then Central shot a 3 that was off the side of the backboard and Bledsoe finally made a free throw. Central tried a shot with 1.5 left and it was way short...... Central has a great ball team even without their best player I can just imagine how good they were with her......

Central mag is my pick for next season to win 8aa.  Congratulations on the win see you Monday night.

Next year in 8-AA will be the same as usual. ONE TOUGH DISTRICT! Macon looked young this year, so they should be pretty good. LA will lose 4 srs. this year but have 4 jrs. and on soph who saw a lot of playing time this year coming back, so they will be good. Upperman was young as well this year and I see them in the mix. Smith Co. will be good with Hackett still there. Cannon Co. will be good but Sissom-less for the first time in a few years, but #4 looks young and impressive and Dodgen is a good coach. York, well...they are gonna continue to struggle IMO. DeKalb will be a quality opponent but not a contender although there program is headed in the right direction. Central Magnent will be loaded with everyone returning.

I agree with you but Central should be top dog it will be their time.  On another note heard 8aa splits next season anyone else heard that.

You're right shes a huge impact anywhere on the floor. If she's remotely healthy by the region tourney though it could spell trouble for the top 7-AA team. They looked as good as I had ever seen them against LA yesterday.

Just wait till next season everyone returns.

Cannon County's Sissom scored 46 in their district semifinal game. Not too shabby against a tough Smith County team

Sissom took her game to the next level last night hope she and the rest of the team can keep it going.  Go lionettes.

Any news on Claudia Smith's injury? Central is essentially done without her.

Heard it was MCL and not ACL but that is just rumor hope she is ok and nothing serious.  IHope she is back for regions if not it is a tough loss for CM.
