We will be MUCH better next yr.Alot of good things are happening at GB.Starts after Christmas!☺.Spring you all will see a little different team.Gonna be another fun he.Good luck to everyone.
NCS you don't have to keep telling us how good you are we know. You all won the game we didn't give it to you.Yes we could have played better but the outcome doesn't change.Congrats and enjoy you don't have anything else to prove, and you don't have to blow smoke up any other teams butt.We finished second whether anyone else likes it or not.Good luck to those SRS they are something else!
Nothing to be ashamed at on the GB side. They almost filled that sideline at TTU. And those boys are BIG. People will say what they want but that team plays hard. You get no free lunches against them. As far as the quarterback is concerned he was one of the main things we feared about this team. He has been accurate all season and delivers a good ball. We thought going in putting a lot of pressure on the qb was key to getting past this team. We saw how stout they were against the run and weren't sure that was going to be the way we could win against them. GB got physical with CA in the second half last week and completely stifled their run game which got them to this level and come next year I expect them to come out mauling people. They've got some players on that squad. Some seniors will move on and new guys will get opportunities to shine. It's the same for our team. Continue the hard work and to push excellence and let's all continue to get better. Great season to all of these kids and we look forward to seeing you on the big stage next year.

For the record I wasn't calling YOU a clown. I was calling Barfield/aka my son a clown as a joke. It's as unselfish a group of guys as I have ever seen. These guys have been running inside out with the qb as a changeup all season. We have 5-6 guys that run the ball no one almost ever gets the ball more than 10 carries a game with the seniors hardly ever in after 3rd qtr. The kids sacrifice stats and play for and with each other. None of them is concerned with leading the state in yards, td's or any of that.

Well NCS is a very good team. Nice win NCS, can't wait to see 35 in orange and white.

You might be the Expert, but I'm your Ambassador 42-14. LMBO. You were close, but not spot on.
+1 to both of you. Ambassador I'll be calling you during the next Kentucky derby.
-
I will say this. NCS looks better than both D2 A teams that played yesterday. I know you guys said you were going D2 in '17. Looks like you guys will compete at a high level there as well. I know you will have graduated a few kids, but the coaching staff looks very strong.
+1 The coaching staff is phenomenal.

Jaybee has been spotted in a sweater vest

Why would ncs run 22 when you have 12 & 35
IKR??!!
I mean look at this clown...

Also had a lot of respect for #35 form NCS until our #2 reached down his hand to help him up and he shoved at him to get out of his way! Tarnished a lot what he has. Hopefully Josh Dobbs can school him on spotsmanship!
That was after someone from your team grabbed his groin in a pileup.

I promise I'm not overlooking ncs. I know there is plenty of ammo left on the sideline that will step up next year. My point is bituli and McGraw can't be replaced. They are just that good. My son was qb at east Robertson when we got slaughtered by ncs freshman group in jr high last year. We moved back to my home town trousdale two months later. My son is just glad to be playing for a winning program now. TC returns nine starters both ways and our d1 kid is going to play again this year. He will be a jr next year. No exaggerating when I say he is built like bituli. He will stand out when you see the team. He is a man! All I'm getting at is we will be much more competitive with you next year. I can see us both sitting at 9-0 next year when we play if in fact the schedule is the same. It should make for a very fun season. Believe it when I say I am pulling for ncs in the championship as are most of us TC fans

South Pitt in the east. The usuals in the west. Union city, Wayne co, Dresden, Huntingdon? (They lose most of their line). I'm a homer but trousdale will be in the mix. They'll be 9-1 or 10-0 going into the playoffs. The two semi teams this year (ncs & Trenton) should be down somewhat next year
We won't be down that much just different. No more than 2 losses going into the playoffs and possibly undefeated depending on the non-regional schedule. The babies grow up next year when the training wheels come off.
-
They're not going to send a team from the Knoxville area all the way across the state. You want a Cloudland or Hampton playing someone from Memphis in the first round?
Yup. I do. If you lost enough games that you have to travel to Memphis it is what it is. We had to drive to Union City last year. It was almost the same amount of time as they're almost in Minnesota.
-
sounds like a talent loaded area! Do CPA and NCS ever play in regular season?
I wish we did. We can't get them or Ensworth to take a game. Our non-region games are really hard to schedule. I bet we'll probably get more people accepting those games once this senior class graduates.
-
JayBee, are you going to the pep rally?
I'll be there.

Hoping for a big game from yours Coach - let's give that young man the rock 20 times.
Appreciate that 1962. He's an unselfish kid as all our backs are. On other teams each of them would get the ball 20-25 times a game and would be up in the top rankings. They each have unique skillsets, each are fast, each have power. None of them rarely get the ball in a game no more than 8 times. So you have to make those touches count. I'm looking for a big game by all of them.

And good squirrel hunting weather. No more early game film on Sat morning. My boy and I love being in the woods chasin those tree rats!
Bring summa dat squirrel gravy and biscuits to the tailgate.

Carguy is known all over west nashville as "Carguy." he was conceived in the rumble seat of a 1963 robin egg blue volkswagen beetle while parked at Winn Dixie on Charlotte avenue.
I heard about that. Thought it was just a legend, but turns out to be true.
-
how far away are CPA and NCS from each other? Just curious and i might just be showing my ignorance
Btw 5-7 miles but virtually in the same area. Ensworth is right in the middle between them.

First of all I DID NOT write the last post.I haven't bragged about GB#1 on here ,but I can.Men, he never invited himself on PrepXtra. He DID win state scoring champ this yr. with 36 TDs and 4 two pt. conversions for 226 pts.Avg. about 15 rushing touches for a 7 yd avg. He has a 24 game TD scoring streak. Can't make fun of those facts.Touchdowns you ask. Just as many as he wants is my guess.I've seen him run 1Td to 10 in this yrs. games and scrimmages. I'd say 3 TDs against NC.Not at all bragging "Just the facts,ma'am".
GB#1 is a player. No doubt about it.

We are only seeing how good this team is now that the playoffs started. Starters only played half of most games. That's how we know the underclassmen are ready to go next year. A couple of the RBs mentioned on here gave the coach heart attacks every time they touched the ball. He was ready to tell them to run out of bounds on half of their carries so it didn't look like we were running scores up.
Except against Clarksville Academy. We just don't like them clowns and their clown coach who goes after kickers on kickoffs. That's why they get punished every year. They started crying when they saw the bracket because they knew it was over and it was going to be bad.
-
I still say NCS is VERY GOOD guys! just not as good as UC's team last yea.
UC's team from last year ain't here to back you up.
-
Its a perfect example because all of those guys were much higher rated. Saying hes going to the NFL after three years is a huge stretch.
He may play all 4 years. That was that guy's opinion. His parents are big on education and I'm sure they would want him to stay and finish his degree.
-
Spike, I just dont see it. I've watched about two hours of film on GB. I'm not saying it to be a punk or boastful. I just know this group at NC. We've come out white hot in each playoff game. This question may be better answered by 89.
I don't get mad at ANYBODY that says Greenback is going to win. I don't call them classless or dishonest or stupid. I have a different opinion than those folks. And it's all good. You're supposed to root for and believe in your kids.
-
I love how Butch Jones goes after the instate guys. You look at what he has done over the past 3 years recruiting the state of Tennessee. It just makes me angry when we had lame ole Dooley who refused to recruit instate! You look at all the talent that we let go. I would be safe in saying that if Dooley was still here Bituli wouldn't get the opportunity to play for the Vols and that's a shame.
+1 Truth!!! There's a lot of great football being played in this state. Dooley wasn't happy unless a guy was coming from Florida or Georgia.

Lane Kiffen is the worst#$%^&*@* coach I have ever seen! I wish someone would cut his #$%^@*& off and shove it in%#** and then set him on fire!! OK, not really, I just wished he coached at Columbia Academy.
Ummmmm ok.
I mean reallllllllly though who doesn't hate Lane Kiffen?? I don't hate Columbia Academy enough to wish that on them. Clarksville Academy though... lol
