1. QUOTE(pseudophobia @ Jun 4 2007 - 07:16 PM) 826471343I agree that West should be a force next year- they were very, very good this year! Just ran into Bearden.

I have heard that Maryville should be strong, but I hear that every year and the results usually are the same.

Oak Ridge will get better due to the players they have..that coach seems....unusual, weird...idonno!!

Farragut took the biggest hit- but make no mistake, they will just reload again. They will always be in the hunt.

Bearden has to replace a great keeper and 2 great defenders- however the Juniors who will be in that spot are very, very good and could have started for almost any other team. They only lost 1 starting forward. All the otherr scorers return. Their mids lost 2 great players- but the mids for Bearden are easier to replace due to their style of play. Last year Beardens JV was undefeated, beat Farragut at Farragut. The freshman class coming to Bearden is the strongest I have seen in the last 6 years!! That is saying something! They have 6 great palyers coming and I think that 4 of those could start before the season is over!

I predict West and Bearden make it out of the regionals.

Pseudie, Pseudie, What are we to do with you? First let me say I think we all agree that OR will be good in SPITE of their coaching, 2nd West too will be up there and noone can ever bet against Turner, just like I wouldn't bet against Culbreth At Farragut either. As far as the JV beating Farragut's having something to do with it, I believe the year before Farragut's JV won and Bearden won a State Championship in 2006....Does any of that make sense..Of course not. Freshman classes have the least effect on a Teams overall strength. I have been right most of the time and I will Take Bearden and Farragut again in next year's Regionals. Maryville will have a great record but never make it past Districts. West will struggle with having it's stars have senioritis and Oak Ridge-Might be the surprise not West

  2. QUOTE(ihavenofriendzz @ May 27 2007 - 03:31 PM) 826468133And Carlos I was meaning the picture that had Beuerlein hugging Moser. It looked like Beuerlein was about to kiss him, and the circumstance that made it not seem so weird was that he just won the game for them.

I would have kissed him if I had been on the field, that shot was GREAT!!

  3. QUOTE(UPSGregg @ May 27 2007 - 12:46 PM) 826468063I'm not sure this was the best game ever but is surely near the top of the list. All this talk about obscene gestures and arguement among the fans is rediculous. What did you guys expect? When two rivals play each other in the state championship game there will be trouble. It's a given.

THEN YOU MY FREIND OBVIOUSLY DID NOT SEE THE GAME!!!!

  4. QUOTE(NedNatterjack @ May 21 2007 - 09:44 AM) 826463988I bet you wouldn't get bored if dins was talking about South-Doyle in his lengthy summaries. Some people like to read what dins has to say. Personally, I think he just likes to hear himself talk and just because he uses big words everyone thinks he's intelligent. He's not fooling me. I remain unphased by his big words. I think he's hiding something.

HINT...HE IS HIDING SOMETHING ,like who he coaches for..........................

I will not reveal the identity because that is unfair on here, but if you know Knox soccer , you know whom Dins8 really is.

  5. This is really unfair to have such great games on the pitch at the same time. I agree that the most noted game may be the Farragut /Bearden game but as far as the actual game fever Cak/Catholic will be every bit as intense.

It is a shame there has to be a loser with these 4 great teams.

The true Winner- will be the fan at either one of the games. Both will be good games even if there is a freak blowout!!

  6. QUOTE(stevescarb @ May 14 2007 - 05:37 AM) 826458756Karns has by far the better coach in Mike McClean, but that just won't help against a team dominated by his own club players. Knowing a player's weaknesses won't help you if you don't have the power to deal with his strengths. Farragut wins this one in spite of their severe disadvantage in the coaching department. Farraget's players will take the team the rest of the way, too, I predict.

    Enjoy it, Boys!

I agree with Dins8 Low blow to Farragut's coaching staff that has won 2 State Championships. I am not sure of Your qualifications Stevescarb, but unless you are Eric Turner with 3 State Championship rings, you have no room to judge anyone. You seem to have a bone to pick to take a jab like that. Perhaps you are a frustrated Parent,??? But talent will only take you so far, Believe it or not Coaching makes a difference. We had the best talent in the area when I played and a coach whom was not very good and we never won a state tournament because the coach didn't give us the edge a good coach does. With all the time and effort Farragut's coaches put in,, that is a shame you diss them so much. I hate to attack but that is just wrong!

  7. QUOTE(BigG @ May 10 2007 - 05:06 AM) 826456177It's supposed to rain on Friday night...

    Well, it's a 40 % chance, and really I don't see that a factor in this game.

Big GIt's also supposed to be the year of the Irish , lucky for you in hasn't been in NCAA football, Basketball, Soccer or Quarterbacks drafted.

I love this time of year,,, Good luck to All the Knoxville teams left in

  8. QUOTE(OnThePitch @ May 8 2007 - 11:40 AM) 826454459[south Doyle is no match for Farragut, even when they miss as much as they do. Beaerden will beat Seveir County by 4.

My Guess Bearden -4-0 over Seveir County

    Farragut 4-1 over South Doyle

    I was close.............Real Close

  9. I am sorry I am stuck on this topic, so this will be my last comments/////

Tournament time is different if and that is a big IF, The team and the coach find a way to put it together.

Yes, it is true some teams fold if they haven't won the big ones, and some teams truly find their calling and become State Champions like Bearden did last year. Their season was up and down and they came together when it mattered. Turner should get credit for that. Teams rise at tourney time but so do great coaches.

I still have my money on Bearden And Farragut to states.

  10. QUOTE(pseudophobia @ May 8 2007 - 03:42 PM) 826454675Read the paper on Thursday??? Is that the Knoxville News Sentinel you are talking about? I'm only wondering because after the 5-2 beating that Farragut took from Oak Ridge....there wasn't I word about the game. So.....I guess if Farragut wins the game then I can read about it- however if SouthDoyle wins the game, it would be safe to wager that it will be only in the box scores. While you are on the subject, I would be interested in knowing what the reason will be for Farragut. Let me refresh your memory. They have 9 starters injured, their forwards are hurt, it was raining and they are not good in the rain, there entire defense got hit by a bus, the sun was in their eyes, locust, the Black Plague!!!! I mean, I have heard SOOOOOOOO many reasons for a game that they didn't win. So Lion 101, lay the reason's on me early... I need to know them now. I would hope that they are COMPLETELY healthy- and they play the game of thier lives, then (providing that Bearden can beat Sevier County) they play Bearden again!

Bearden needs a good tough game...as does Farragut, to get them (both of them) ready for a run at State! If they get past S Doyle, I expect a great game!!

That is what I want to see!! I would also love a Bearden- Farragut State Championship!!! That is a LONG way down the road.

    Good luck and no excuses!!!

P.S. Don't forget that Oak Ridge and West are out there......waiting!!!

Psudie,Psuede, Psueide, ( Let me cover this for you Lion101.)

Again, someone needs to help you with your rants. I know you are a Bearden Fan and so am I to some degree, but you rail and rail against Farragut all the time. I really haven't seen the Farragut Boys on here moaning with excuses, they have been hit with more than their share of injuries and were pretty solid until then. They have had some games they would like to forget, but with so many injuries it is hard to be consistent. You an adult get on here and taunt the players like you are one of them, YOU ARE NOT!! You are an adult whom should, state your opinion and then backoff. I hope that Farragut and Bearden play two or more times because it is fun to watch. I have tracked all your post on Coach T and have determined you are a frustrated adult on basically a players board. It is ok to be an adult on here, just act like one. Your jabs are unwarranted and out of line. Bearden and Farragut will again make a run, so let the kids play.

  11. LION101, I am proud of you for taking a stand! I have seen Farragut just show up this year, but your response feels like there is a little spunk back in your walk. I hope it is carrying over to your team or your playoff run will be short like the basball teams.

South Doyle is no match for Farragut, even when they miss as much as they do. Beaerden will beat Seveir County by 4.

My Guess Bearden -4-0 over Seveir County

    Farragut 4-1 over South Doyle

  12. Farragut seems to have to had to change their line up so many times because of injuries. I saw 7 or 8 Farragut Players not dressed out before the Oak Ridge Game. I can't say what really happened because I had to leave actually beforer the game started. What I am curious about is why the coach Kept the Keeper in if he was helping the other team so much. Don't they have any other keepers besides the one at Driving school?

  13. QUOTE(NedNatterjack @ Apr 24 2007 - 01:18 PM) 826444258Then who is he? And please don't tell me you are going to protect yoda's anononimity (sp.) as well.

DINS8 You are powerful, everyone is hitting my profile to see whom I am so they can figure out whom you are.........( even you hit me today),

and Ned, I told you that I had Dins8's back and if he wants to tell you he can. I won't and truthfully he will probably leave you guessing because he would have to explain why he feelsthe way he does if if he reveals whom he is . But if you know Knox soccer you would know whom he is if he reveals himself.

  14. My Daddy can whip your Daddy!!

That's what this site sounds like, Catholic can Dominate because, Webb can win because, everyone touting their own team.

I'm going for the draw or Catholic wins by one. WAY to close to call with the emotions and talent.

  15. I think you all have it wrong. Bearden will not fall to either one of these foes. They are a stonger team than you give them credit for against very good teams which Maryville and South Doyle are. I think Bearden will fall but not until districts.

    Bearden 2-0 Maryville

    Bearden 3-0 South Doyle

No direspect to those to teams, just hustle on Bearden's side....

  16. It was a good game last night. Farragut didn't get screwed , they just didn't make the most of their opportunites. Best Team is determined in May, Last year Farragut won the first two meetings, Bearden won the State Championship.

  17. QUOTE(kingoftheblurbs @ Apr 14 2007 - 06:56 AM) 826437265Farragut really started out the game very well by putting intense pressure of the Bearden in the back and this lasted for about 15-20 minutes. They were shredding them with the passing. I am not sure why because it was working so well, but the coach decided to go to phase two of his game plan which did not work and he did not go back to what was working and continued going through a series of personnel changes that baffled me.

King of the Blurbs Maybe the coach saw something I saw from the sidelines and that is Farragut has some great players but he has some players that step on the field and don't deliver. I too would be switching some of Farraguts players around to try more options and some I wouldn't even be starting unless he doesn't have anyone better, which if Farragut is so deep Why Not? I would assume you are a Farragut player since you knew the coaches game plans and must be one of the ones he moved around or took out. Even Pseudey and I don't second guess coaches game plans because some work and some don't. To be honest I thought Farragut possesed the majority of the game no matter who was in there, although , like I said some did not deliver. I thought that the defense which was was replacing the normal players was outstanding to not e the starters. When will any of those guys be back? Are they out for the year?

Pseudy what was your take on this game?

  18. Whew, what a build-up after last year. Things should be tight! Big G has done great things at CAK and has not ducked the big games, which has improved their program. Catholic has always played the big games. I think my guess on this one is that Catholic has the edge at this point in the season. I believe CAK will continue to get stronger and Tarr needs to step up, he has still not lived up to his billing. In reality, that is ok , he could be in a flux of just finding himself AGAIN, iIN ANOTHER SETTING and hasn't gotten used to it yet, if he does, I believe he can wake up and that will make a different CAK.

I have to go with Catholic on this particular game by at least 1 goal.

  19.

Oh and anybody who can make the Farragut Bearden alumni game on Saturday, it starts at 4pm at Farragut - the money goes to a terrific cause and it should be an entertaining game.

What is the cause? I follow all Knox soccer and don't know about it? We all Need to know so we can support it,if it is a scoccer deal. Please start a thread about it so it can take priority and not get lost on another threads posts.

  20. QUOTE(pseudophobia @ Apr 11 2007 - 12:12 PM) 826434967They lost Ben Lawson- who was their best player and they have a new keeper! I don't think of those 2 as anyone. Also, they lost the last one 3-0. And by the way, both of there wins were at home on their football field...this game is at Bearden.

    Good luck Farragut.

Psude Dude, You do seem to favor Bearden very heavily in your posts and if I was a Farragut player or Parent I would assume that your Good Luck to Farragut is a taunt. When did Farragut lose 3-0?? If you are talking about the SC game that was a 3-0 Shoot out hardly a 3-0 loss.

And the new Keeper is a Div 1 Signee and Keeper of the Best Club team in his age group, not a step down by any means maybe a step up.

Anyway , Here is how I see this game: Both have Great Talent, Both have taken alot of shots this year and not finished them, Both have great Keepers, Both have great coaches with great schemes who love to challenge each other, Field favors Bearden, but the winner is the finishers not the shooters. Comparing overall talent I would go with Farragut but if the talent doesn't show up, The Bearden's tenacity will. Still after reviewing everything ( I did get the WestVs. Bearden game right on the money), I see

    the game 3-1 Farragut /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
