Today. If not they will be going out of the building. Which would be a crime.

Is The so called culture coming from the parents. Matt Jones was the best.

Actually, East Hickman has had a couple of very good coaches in the past. Frank King and Matt Jones. Both were in tough situations, but both are/were very good coaches. I think King actually won a playoff game and beat Hickman a couple of times.
Matt Jones is as good as they come

They are all at fault , CULTURE is a very big word, that again is all about perception, for instance some would say that the younger generations CULTURE is more of entitlement and that most of them are not capable of doing what it takes to be high achievers, but again that is perception based on a few, not all. Great leadership (coaching) can change that perception in a hurry. So I am not trying to have it both ways, I just do not agree with the assessment. You can't show me any team in any sport that has been coached as poorly as EHHS Football has been the last 5-6 years that doesn't have a lack of interest. Kids have to much to do these days to be a part of anything that has no chance of success. They have a lot of good kids, but they have never had a real leader/coach.. IMO So I hope this new coach comes in and helps these young men reach their full potential, because they deserve it, but it wont happen, unless he is willing to enforce some discipline and weed out the ones that are not willing to be good teammates. I have been invested for quite a few years, but those days are over, I will just continue to watch from a distance and hope it improves.
Bama you are right. Culture is just another buzz word butt kissing ad men want to use.

Can't wait until week 4 E.H. vs. Stewart County. Two former Stewart County greats against each other.

Springfield will win 3 games this year. I wouldn’t send my boy to Springfield that place has changed and now is a zoo. Offutt and me used to run around together back in them days

Did Offutt have any friends.

Sorry for your lose. Pullen would be a good hire. How about Chuck Daniel. He has been a good coach for many years. You should get your pick of a lot good candidates.

Someone was interviewed indeed. I believe that Westview would be back among the elite programs in West TN if they are the get the “i’s” dotted and “t’s” crossed.

Ok, we know there are a lot of great teams in the state of Tennessee. We also know White House has one of the best if not the best history in the state. When are we going to bring the outstanding seasons of 1997, 2004, and 2008 together? We have had a crapshoot of teams besides these few. We should be celebrating the 97 team for the state championship and the other two teams for their greatness. When will White House learn?
You are digging with these statements. White House is a solid program, but great no. No more Springfield transfers look at them now.

The reason I say this Coach Thomas was beat down after a state final and semifinals. 1-9 in 4a of 5 classes for two seasons. I hope the staff doesn’t go through this.

Many of the Jackets on this page remember SHS during the 2A 3A days. They were good. Biggest school in the class. What happens when moved up. Will they still support the Jackets. I hope so.

Did your "in the know" person say who was pushing this?
To few teams in regions. It is hard to find games. Travel is killing many schools.Enrollment will be closer together. There still will be six classes, but in the Super 32 not all teams will make the playoffs. It may fix some of the problems, but not all. I still wish there were four classes in the major sports.I introduced a four class plan in 1996. Two Hundred schools signed off on it. T.S.S.A.A killed it.
-
Spoke with someone in the know. I'm talking the real know. He said it's very possible 32 will be put back in place for the 2020-21 season.

Yes, taking the largest 32 public schools then dividing the rest is being discussed. I wouldn’t think it would happen as early as next year but who knows. If the TSSAA releases the enrollments turned in this school year, for any 20 percent changes, we could get a better look on how it could it go and whether it needs to return or not.
I hoped this went the way of the Z plan. In fact I liked the Z plan better. How much talk is being done about this. Five classes please. Schools will give the T.S.S.A.A. money from car washes to make up the for the lose class.

I am not your guy. I do know a few coaches, administrators & teachers in CMCSS, but I am not your guy. It sounds like you know who the “guy” is however.
I know for a fact West Creek went to the TSSAA. The person who did it told me Saturday morning.

West Creek turned them in. I was in the system or playing the schools in the system for 25 years. There is always something going on with players being eligible.

That 2006 team is the most under appreciated teams in the history of Springfield. May have been because Offutt was so disliked. The Jackets were the smallest school in 4A.

If ICE had hit town two eeeks earlier they would played 3A. School lose 250 student. Go figure.

I remember Clarksville having a pretty good ball team about 12 years ago I think. Split with Springfield, they won regular season and Clarksville won in a sloppy rain filled second round playoff game. Clarksville’s running back that year was a very large human being that I believe wore #32. This year I don’t really see Clarksville being able to combat the speed of the Springfield offense. It’s all about match ups and Clarksville doesn’t have the perimeter speed to match with Springfield. Yes Clarksville has some size but so did Gallatin. I see the Jackets winning this by a couple TD’s
