  1. Our fall season is over and we are looking for 2 or 3 to complete our 2016 summer roster. We are looking for an A level strong pitcher. Would also like to have a solid utility player that is a catcher. A strong middle infielder that will also play some outfield is a must. We play ASA and SHOWCASES only.   2. Blaze99 will have 2015/2016 tryouts on Sunday August 9th at 2:00pm at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tn. We are looking for A caliber players that want to play ASA and Showcase tournaments. We are a sixth year program that has played in the 16U Nationals this year. We play Scenic City Showcases, Eastern Elite Showcases, Nashville Elite Invitational, and more.   3. Chattanooga Blaze is looking for a top quality catcher for the upcoming summer schedule. They can be 00, 99, or 98. We play college showcase, exposure, and ASA tournaments. We will be playing ASA nationals in Chattanooga. Contact Tom at tom_watson@baylorschool.org if interested.

  5. If your school is still trying to find a great tournament then call coach Kelli Smith 423-267-8506 at Baylor School. Great cause with all proceeds going to breast cancer awareness. Tournament is being played at Warner Park (best park around) in Chattanooga April 11-12. You and your team will be blessed to have participated. We currently have 13 teams and are capable of hosting 20.

  6. Rules to handle the situation were already in place, just not applied. Game does not end on a defensive penalty under any circumstance...everything which followed was included in the rulebook, and appropriate for the situation IF the official deemed it necessary. The ejection should have been upheld in the appeal process because it was the judgment of the official that the contact warranted it, not "misapplication of a rule". The only breech of the rules came when the ref signaled the game to be over, when the rulebook states that it was not. Argue against the logic if you like, but it's there in black and white.

    The game can end on a defensive penalty....... if the offense declines the penalty. There's your only circumstance.

  7. Baylor School is hosting the 2nd annual Hits for Hope high school softball tournament April 11-12 at Chattanooga's Warner Park. All proceeds go to fight breast cancer and the Mary Ellen Locher Foundation. 16 teams participated last year. We are looking to host 20 teams this year. 3 pool single elimination tournament.
