I will give Cornersville their rightly deserved dues. The defense is legit. Plenty of speed and play as disciplined as I have ever seen. I really thought this would come down to whether our defense could stop their offense. For the most part, we did a great job. The long pass play that killed us was defended as well as you can do it. Receiver made an amazing catch. We had multiple opportunities in the passing game. For some reason Huntingdon does not believe in short passes. There were open receivers all night.

I for one will say that is pretty classless. If players had anything to do with it they get the result they deserved not only for them but the team. That sounds like crap McKenzie use to pull when they would come to Huntingdon. Huntingdon. Is better than that.

Congrats to Cornersville on an extremely well played game. Love the fan support. After the last two years I have come to a couple of conclusions. 1) Cornersville is a much better coached team than Huntingdon 2) Cornersville is immensely better coached than Huntingdon Good luck the rest of the way. Hope y'all take it all.

Some of the best atmospheres for high school football have been between Huntingdon and Milan both regular season and in playoffs. The regional newspaper covers it as "The Dog and Pony show"

For someone that supposedly is so smart about football, you need to check on some history before making that idiotic statement. I will give you South Pittsburg as having more success. Greenback and Huntingdon are almost identical in playoff wins and losses.

Cornersville boasts as much about one playoff win as Huntingdon does about the entire history.

I am the one that brought it up not being a top 10 game in Huntingdons history. The game is definitely in consideration because it is a part of that history. It is not in my top 10 because of play on the field and that evaluation has nothing to do with the outcome.

Good post. I normally just stay off the boards but some over exuberant fans changed my mind for this week. All trash talk aside, first and foremost let's hope there are no injuries. Hope Cornersville fans and players have safe travels and just maybe a level of sportsmanship will be exhibited by both fans and players.

You could add both of those together, double it, and still not be at the most attended game.

I can come up with 3 just taking into consideration championship games Huntingdon has played in and only won one of those.

I will say right now that if Cornersville brings more fans than some of the games Huntingdon has played in Paul Ward Stadium I will be officially impressed.

Anytime a team does not give up points for 9 games that is impressive even if you were playing the Sisterhood of the Blind. However, stats in high school can be so misleading when you take into consideration competition.

Huntingdon had way too many of both the last time these teams met. It has been said by Cornersville fans that last year was one of the best games they have seen. In Huntingdon's history that game would not make the top ten and not because of the outcome.

Being DPOY in that region is about like being the tallest midget. No slight to the young man but that region is even weaker than ours.

Your hypocrisy is showing. When the high and mighty cb10 makes a comment that is similar to what someone else says, it is insightful and intelligent. When any Huntingdon fan, makes a comment similar to someone else it is a cop out. Pick one side or the other.
