  1. 3 pts is enough to win a game. It was enough to win state last year!! It's the playoffs. Every game from here on out is gone be a fight. Plus mistakes and terrible officiating is what made these games so close. QB at this point is the least of our worries... I repeat what's already been stated. This is the year to beat whitehaven because we actually are a very young team!! Over all the soph class is carrying the team. But the future is sparkling....don't be surprised if we end up playing the next 2 games at home...

  2. He wasn't gone  come in and start if that's what you are implying. But he would have had a chance to learn behind the senior we had...no we won't get them all because we not gone tell them they gonna start like some others do. All of them not no where near ready as a freshman. But yet we win with what we have...my guy is flowers is doin good at kirby but they not goin anywhere.

Yea, but that is still on the coaches. After the 1st delay of game, you ask your QB "what's up?" When he replies, the back ref isn't raising his hand, that's when you get on the ref AND the white hat. You shouldn't have as many as we did. I'm glad he yelled at the refs though. As a matter of fact, it would behoove the coaching staff to have one of the assistant coaches to watch out for that very thing and nip it in the bud before it can become an issue. In fact, just have a pre-game talk with the refs about that very thing.

Kdub you have been around long enough to know da haven will never get a fair shake against certain schools no matter how much we complain...the last thing we should have to worry about is watching officials as opposed to what the players are doin...but yes it's our fault, we made it a close game and left it in the hands of the officials.

Okay, I'll cut to the chase for you, Coach10AC.  I just watched a team with the best athletes in the city implode. It was ugly. They got out of their element by going away from their normal offense and it cost them with all kinds of penalties  — like too many men on the field, substitution issues and motion penalties. Their special teams were abysmal, I mean that rugby punt took way too long. They had to use timeouts three times on G'town punt attempts to stop an uncovered man. As for the weather, they came out in sleeves. I could go on and on. I respect the talent level of the Tigers for sure. Like all well coached teams and good teams, Germantown took advantage of these mistakes and won. It could go either way when these teams play. I'm guessing you are not a REAL coach, but one of those who wishes he were one. Otherwise you wouldn't be talking so much on a fan chat forum.

We have some good athletes yes, so does gtown...that's not an issue...people take stuff and run with it. A simple question was asked and I answered it...end result is, there was a problem, it was addressed and it was fixed...no fumbles in the second half...those are facts!!! True turnovers are part of the game but so is making adjustments. But I guess no one wants to mention that. I congratulated gtown on they're win, no excuses here. But Ill be sure to tell them that me know it all said our rugby punt took to long!!! We will call a rugby punt specialist for help. Thanks

There were special teams issues as well. We didn't help ourselves all night with poor clock managment. We had multiple delay of game penalties on offense, due to plays not being called in a timely manner. The defense gets a stop, only to give them a first down and new life with a substitution penalty, on the punt return team. It was like that all night it seemed. That was just bad coaching. We looked sloppy. Especially the 1st half. It was a bad night all around.

Not gone let you have that one...if you were watching the ref like we were after the first couple, he is supposed to raise his hand at 5 seconds, but he wasn't doin they until coach started yelling at him and the ref....

  6. To answer a question...no G'town was not a hard hitting team causing the fumbles...it was raining pretty good during pre warm ups and the backs had on sleeves which I don't like but damp footballs and wet sleeves don't go together. They made them roll the sleeves up so the ball could stick to the skin and not slip on the sleeves. No fumbles in the 2nd was the result.

Good game Germantown. Whitehaven didn't throw in the towel after that horrendous 2nd quarter. Showed a lot of grit and determination. Had an opportunity to level it up with about 3 minutes left in the game. That was very encouraging.

Can't spot a good team 21 points and win.

Sometimes, things just don't go your way. Those young men did the only thing you can do in that type of situation. They regrouped, circled the wagons, and went out swinging. That's what I liked, even though we lost.

Man ... that Whitehaven 'D' is just bad to the bone. I'm confident we held the Germantown rushing attack under 100 yards. We've been doing that all season. My hat is off to you guys. No quit in ya. No relenting. That 'D' will carry us.

I actually liked what I saw tonight. Even in this loss.

We will be road warriors this year after the 1st round.

Let's get it on! We Ready!

Trust me they know!!! They only scored 3 pts the 2nd half....and once the refs got involved it was a mountain climb for our offense. We put our D in some tough spots. But hey its on now!!! Until we meet again.

  8. When it got bad, it got bad quick. Then those refs wasn't about to let us turn it around. But we played lock down D in the 2nd half and mounted our comeback but the refs said NO we will not allow you to show these guys up by spottING then 21pts aND stillwin the game.....lol...but it's ok, we will see them again....congrats G'town bein division champs...about the 3rd round we will dance again. But we won't turn the ball over 4 times In a row!!!!!! Enjoy your early Christmas gift.

  9. What people don't get is. Is that we (whitehaven) have been in this spot before. More recently last year when cordova came in undefeated with aLL the hype. This is that same type of game. Granted I think G'town is a tougher team than cordova but our D always step up in big games!!! They have some good athletes, but can they handle the pressure we will put on them???

  10. I think Jaylend "mad dog" sanders from da haven to be in the convo somewhere. This kid has been phenomenal at the DE spot. He practically shut down cordova on his own. He had bout 25 tackles in that one game, not to mention all the sacks and TFL's he has so far.
