Thanks so much for your heartfelt sympathy Ozzie but its still to early.there is more football to be played.Yes,WC has lots of injuries but the one thing you probably don't know is what a determined bunch of seniors we have.Ask the two teams we have lost to and they will tell you WC doesn't go down easy.We are not ready to go down yet,give us a couple more games before you count us out.

Its not complicated.  The lack of response on this post speaks volumes.  Neither of these programs are relevant this year.  It they were, this thread would be 20+ pages. 

Again, this is the playoff game for both of these squads.  Season is over.

Good luck to you guys but unfortunately you're in for a beat-down.  One of those situations where you guys think you're an immoveable object but are fixing to face an irresistible force.  Force wins this week.

Webb has the strongest strength of schedule in the state & that's saying something with Ensworth beating Trinity/BA playing in Cincy.

That's a tall order for FCS.  Webb probably has no business playing in this classification.  Should be up with the big boys ... Ensworth, BA, MBA.

Long trip from Possum Town.  That's the problem moving to DII.  The positive of moving to DII though is we get to watch legitimate 3/4/5 star athlete's play throughout the season now.

Should be one heck of a game from two quality programs.  This should determine home field advantage throughout the playoffs for one of these squads.

Sadly, biggest game of the year for both squads. No playoffs this year. I thought there would be a second run for MJ with Memphis coming to Wilson County this year. Was very much looking forward to sending them back to West TN with a loss. Very disappointing year.

Is Rossview's defense much improved? Seems like a shootout would mean that the D is suspect. That is Henry County's strong point.

HC is simply Country Strong ... if it comes down to D in the game (and it won't), D pushes Rossview around like a peewee squad.

Henry County doesn't stand a chance.  Rossview is playing 15 games and will be playing for the Class 6A State Championship this December.  There isn't a 5A team in the state that's on their level.  They've already spanked Hillsboro, McGavock, and Stratford.  Henry County doesn't have the same type of speed as do any of those Metro schools.

Hillsboro, McGavok, and Stratord ???  That's got to be the funniest post I've seen this year.  Those squads are all down.  How can you put those wins up as justifications? 

HC wins this one by 3 TD's.  Big strong line on both sides of the ball.  Game over by 2nd half.

TC needs to remember to keep the mini-liquor bottles in the parking lot at the GP game.  Was at the FCS game last week ... haven't seen that many bottles in the trough since the Hoosiers movie.  Tell Shooter to stay home or his son just might start a fight & get kicked out of the game.

Dorian Carter is every bit as good at JHURD. yes I said it. great physical runner who is out shadowed by hurd. carter is a d1 type of player and someone will get a steal at running back. hurd is good, but as central showed if his with his running type, that could end his season. Sec will do that and I think injury will be his downfall at ut.

Sadly this is the biggest game of the year for both squads.  No post-season for either.  The mighty Bears have fallen from a contender in the playoffs to no chance making it this year.  For WC, just stack the box ... there is no passing game on the other side of the ball the rest of the year.

Thoughts? Predictions? I think HC wins but I don't know much about Rossview.

HC is the real deal.  This will be a scrimmage with JV playing the 2nd half.

But the issue I had was walking back on the sidelines towards the end of halftime to overhear the white hat telling Shad that he wasn't going to enforce the mercy rule at the beginning of the third bc "its not fair" um I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure it isn't optional in the 2nd half of the game......

Something is wrong when you can't get up for a game, overlook an opponent ... I don't believe as some GHS folks have said that it took 3 qtr for the team to wake up or we have morale character coming back like that.

Truth is that JV team Stew Creek plain and simple got worn down and has no depth...

BUT GHS can play and stand toe to toe with any in the district and can win out....

I'm not sure why any team runs a kid 54 times even if he hits 300+ yards.  Kind of makes me think Hurd wasn't all that but the system is setup for RB's.  No disrespect intended but I wouldn't want my kid taking that kind of punishment.  BHS coaches need to step back & re-evaluate running one kid 54 times.

Wing T is so dependent on the QB and his timing with the rest of his offense.  Losing your first string QB hurts the whole offense until their timing jells.

 

MJ is better than the score tells.

From what I'm hearing, they are down to the 3rd string QB (2nd team QB left the team after the Lebanon game ... could be wrong on that, just heard it).  Passing is an issue now and in 6A, running isn't going to get it done outside of regional games.  Good luck to MJ to get it together but playoffs are looking slim at this point.

Awesome job, congrats to HC.  Force in the playoffs.  Hopefully they will get home field throughout.

I'd say Mitchell and Huntingdog are the top 2 in the west...i don't believe TCA or Aville can handle either one...guess we'll find out sooner or later...

 

ps...look at Mitchell schedule and you'll see that they play up too...even higher than you guys do.

Huntingdon is a strong horse (Mustang) in this race ... but hearing a lot from Grace.  West TN squads have a strong line/running game vs. the East with passing.  Should setup for a great matchup ... running vs. passing.  Didn't work out too well for Adamsville last year.

Have you seen Grace Christian play, or are you just basing that prediction on all the big linemen over in West Tn?

Gotta admit ... just basing it on West TN lines ... very strong this year across the region.  Some should get D1 offers.   From what I'm reading though, Grace is a force so looking forward to seeing them.
