Its the same situation that Greeneville goes through every year even when they won it all in 2010 and 2011 and still to this day. Like Greeneville, Elizabethton beat up on a bunch of cupcakes in the regular season so it's hard to judge them. Elizabethton is way better than they were last year too with one more year of experience under their belt as alot of them were freshman last year.

Elizabethton from the East, Milan, liberty tech, and Stratford from the west I believe are better teams

Elizabethton is hard for me to judge their opening season loss was impressive but they have out matched their competition so much it's hard to tell same way as last year Scott went to Elizabethton a five and five team turn the ball over five times and Elizabethton scored late to beat them Scott is a far superior team to what they were last year when we have everyone healthy

Again, I wish Scott the best. Always pull for our region. Just don't see them putting 21-24 points against the Tornadoes starting D.

I have never had a prediction on the Alcoa verse Scott game all I have stated is Scott will be the best team Alcoa will face getting to the championship game

Alcoa has proved they're the best in 3Afootball for years now Scott I just think they have as good Of team as anybody else in Regions 1,2,3 or 4 I haven't seen any of regions 5 through 8

Alcoas toughest foe for the gold ball will not be Scott. Scotts not a bad team but also not the 2nd best team in 3a

I am an Oneida grad and played there but really enjoy supporting both teams and seeing them be successful. Oneida is at Oakdale and that won't be much of a game. I look for Scott's to be just a little closer but still 21-28 point game.

Spike and todd, I think what the part about "flipping the regions..." (if that was your question) means that the winners of region 1 go on to face the winners of region 3. also the winners from region 2 would play the winners from region 4. Did I get that correct?

yea somthing like that.just to get you away from your own region in rd 2. scott has had some pretty good teams the last 4 yrs maybe i am just whining i really believe this scott team is special just getting alcoa in 2nd rd is a rough draw. but the kids on the team think we can play with alcoa. i just hope we stay fairly healthy when we play them if we get by northview 

There are 6-7 teams from the west who could easily be in Cookeville. They are all very comparable to one another. It's going to make for some exciting and heartbreaking games. Stratford, Goodpasture, CPA, Goodpasture, Liberty, Milan, and Fairview are all comparable. Cheatham, Harpeth, Camden, Dyersburg, and Bolivar are capable of upset specials. The bracket out west will be intense!

 

In the east it's Alcoa's to lose. Their two greatest threats are going to play one another in the second round CAK/Elizabethton. I do like the way Red Bank played Alcoa two weeks ago and think they have a shot to make the state semifinals. Sequatchie Co. is good but I don't know how "proven" they are overall.

hard for me to believe that a cak team without cole smith is 1 of alcoas biggest threats i read somewhere that elizibethton lost there qb also if true i don't know how that affects them but i think its a huge loss for cak. cole smith is a great qb

I agree win first then worry about Alcoa but Scott is playing really good ball and I don't see NA stopping that offense. toddw we may need to meet up at the game Friday. I enjoy meeting up with fellow coacht ers

hey spike i will be at game have not missed one in about 8 yrs i always sit in stands with my wife i don't know who you are but if you see me just let me know. i use to think you mostly at oneida games.somebody told me you shouldn't put your real name on here but it was to late already had. i about always try to sit close to the 50 yard line and if it don't get to cold i'll be wearing some kind of scott high shirt with a #4 on the back

we need to just win this one first then worry about alcoa. but i do think scott would be the best team they will face getting to the title game. most people won't believe that.but then agian most people don't know much about scott. watched the film of scott vs alcoa from back in september it was not good had a hard time getting stops on them. scott is much improved but alcoa is really good

i think he might need to be a step or 2 faster to play at a real high level.but he is a great back I thought he should have got the ball more against Scott. I guess it worked in our favor getting up on them early

Scott County good ball club. Better than any Chattanooga area team. Can't believe CAK got y'all. QB strong arm and slick. Yeah it stinks win one play Alcoa. TSSAA got this system messed up. Would have liked to have seen staff pull starters in 4th when MC had Freshmen and Sophomore s in. Hitch and go uncalled for with running clock. Just glad your studs didn't tweak anything during that point of the ballgame.

thank you for the compliments we did a lot of subing early in the 2nd qtr but they came back in I know most of the defense was out and part of the offense not making any excuses but we blew 2 really big leads this year one of them was to Cak in that game with them our qb did not play our back up quarterback is a starting left tackle and a great linebacker playing quarterback he did not play defense against Cak you played us when overall we are as healthy as we have been all year.i wish you all the best of luck at elizibethton. they have a super nice place up there it is just along ways.

i think scott wins this one 2 weeks ago i would have said by 14to 21 points but after central beat notre dame i am worried that was a nice win
