. You are correct Mondo. it was Gallatin that we played. My bad.Just a quick fact from a Hville fan. We did not play Brentwood in 08, 09, 10, 11. Did scrimmage them in those years but no in season meetings until 2013 and 2014. I believe you did play Gallatin in the years mentioned above.

Hear is my response:
1. In 08, 09, 10, 11, Brentwood played Blackman, Oakland, Smyrna, and Hendersonville. Frigging murderers row and comparable to recent schedules. 08 region champs and state quarter finalist. 09 region champs and state semi finalist. 10 district champs and lost in first round to state finalist. 11 state quarter finalist . Success has made Brentwood a hard place to schedule. Ron hated playing his son in law.
2. I do have a thing for the administration. Best high school in state. Thanks to them, I had 3 sons all get huge scholarships and multiple degrees. Through 3 undergraduate degrees and 2 masters, I've paid about $20,000 in tuition. Keidel can sleep with my wife AND her sister if he wants.
3.i had a son on the 08, 09. And 10 teams under Ron . I never been around a better motivator, leader, and person.leader, I saw us lose but rarely outcoached. He maid everyone a part of the team. He can also sleep with my wife but not her sister because I dont want him mad
4. I know you feel your boy deserved another year. I heard nice things about him. I know Ron thought he was a good guy. I watched them play about 5 times and my only comment is they didn't tackle very well.
I hope coach Woodard finds a good fit so you'll have a place to root for him. We at Brentwood are already brushing on our RosettA Stone Ron Crawford language skills.

Read deadlys statement. He said HC screwed present coach referring to the schedule. Admin let it happen. I did some research before I left this thread. In Crawford's last two years, his teams went 13-7 in the regular season. Not bad but having a down Hillsboro team, Ravenwood team, and independence team really helped. Not to mention the non district schedule was not the gauntlet it has been the past two years. Pemberton came in to a senior laden program and went 11-2 beating the mighty teams of cookeville and hunters lane along the way. Haha. On his way out pemberton scheduled CPA, Blackman, Hendersonville, and Oakland. Oh yeah Ravenwood has gotten better the last two years. Independence now has a real football coach. Oh and all of those seniors from pembertons year graduated. Hmmmm. And you don't give the new guy one more year. I think most parents liked Woodward, I think most that know football know he is a good coach. So bruindaddy I'm guessing you either have a bond with Crawford or keydel since you are backing him up. I'm still waiting for you to answer my questions. I'm out merry Christmas.

Oh this was NOT your only issue in those many multi-posts.
The fact is that the previous HC not only screwed Woodward, he screwed the kids and their families. The PRINCIPAL merely took the bait and ran with it. All of the adults in this situation are complicit. When parents get too involved in High School sports the biggest loser is always the kids, then the people who work the most in a program, the coaches.
How did he screw the kids and families? He had an opportunity to upgrade his coach . I would argue that Brentwood is one of the best high schools in the country because of parental involvement. I'm sorry your pissed but if my name is Keydel and I have the opportunity to bring back a coach who understands the Brentwood culture, won 3-4 region championships, 3 district championships, 1 state championship, and made every playoff AND he was beloved by the school, I'm on it.

I don't believe that Crawford and Keidel had a plan the entire year for Crawford to return. That is not either one style. I know for a fact that Ron would not entertain these types of discussion while his team was in the playoffs. As for why coach Woodward got fired,. I imagine 5-15 had something to do with it. I can't speak for other reasons. I do think it is fair to say he inherited a tough situation after Pemberton bolted.
-
Also I don't care if it keydel, keidl, or whatever he screwed Woodward and Crawford knew about it before Woodward did. There you go. If you are in the know tell us why Woodward was let go.

Touché working in progress but I do have an excuse. This stupid voice application doesn't always type what I say.

Dear foosball, across all sports, Brett what is 38 state championship. That doesn't also count the club sport state championships would take that number over 50. I don't know Cleveland's number, but I've heard it it is around 11. Your assertion about money is stupid also. I wonder how competitive Cleveland's wrestling program would be without sugar daddy Jones building that beautiful facility and also helping develop a culture down there.

Last time I looked Cleveland has more championships than brentwood. Not only in football but other sports as well. Brentwood may be a wealthy town but $$$$ doesn't win you championships, players do.
-
If you are so much in the know, it would be nice if you could spell the principles name right. Your assertion is ludicrous. If you knew Ron Crawford, you would know that he would have no part of that.
-
you are correct that wood got screwed big time. however crawford is not an innocent. he was contacted by keydel about a month into the season about coming back to bwood. they waited until this week to announce to try to hide that fact.

Face it - The Bruins S*&K and they can't tackle. Congrats to Centennial but a very fundamentally bad Bruin team.
-
As a Bruin fan, I'm just hoping we get better after last week. So let me ask the Blaze Nation the most important question?
What is the band going to play? They always rock!

I agree with coach77; the atmosphere at this game was awesome. Overall, I felt like Brentwood should have won this game. The Bruins were definitely out matched in the trenches on both sides of the ball (#74 for CPA is an absolute beast), but Coach Woodward made some good adjustments in the second half to overcome that issue (i.e. the drive that lasted the entire 3rd quarter). It was definitely the penalties and turnovers that lost the game for the Bruins. Brentwood had a chance to control the momentum early in the game with an interception on CPA's first drive, but they gave the big M right back with a fumble a few plays later. Brentwood also had a few holding penalties that killed a 4th quarter drive when the game was still tied 14-14. For whatever it's worth, I strongly disagree with Bruindaddy's post saying that "QB play for Brentwood was spotty at best" I think Maher ended up something like 16-24 with 140 yards. A few of those incompletions were dropped balls, and I only remember 1 of them being "short hopped". I don't ever remember a QB being called "spotty" with a 66.6% completion rate (would have been more like 75% without the dropped balls), not to mention he was Brentwood's leading rusher, and he also had the CATCH of the game. If that's spotty, then I can't wait to see him have a good game!
All that being said, congrats to CPA on a good win. They minimized their mistakes in the second half, and that's why they won the game. It sounds like their future is bright with that many young players seeing action already; good luck the rest of the way.
IMHO, I cant argue with anything you're saying and my definition of spotty is probably jaded a little bit by Superman's moves. IMHO(Stealing your line), the boy nees a little "Humble". The trenches are going to have to improve or it may be a long season and Mr .Maher will be running for his life.

Well, after watching the Bruins lay an egg at CPA, its obvious there is a lot to work to do. Several observations:
1. Conditioning was pretty bad on both sides of the ball but that is to be expected for the first game of the year in August. Physically, I thought the Bruin defensive line got manhandled at time. It seemed the linebackers had O line in their face most of the game.
2. Turnovers and penalties killed us. Especially fumbling twice in the first half.
3. Running bubble screens and stuff inside CPA's 20 scares the "bubbles" out of me....
4. The CPA "missouri" commit is the real deal. Heck of a ball player.
5. QB play for Brentwood was spotty at best. I always love watching a high school football player do the Lebron Superman move. I'm just confused what the S stood for in this game: Stupid? Selfish? or Short Hopping my throws which was a problem as usual. Mr. Mayer, play hard with passion but lose the hotdogging. Ron Crawford would still be up your but right now 15 hours after the game if you had did that under his reign. Football is a team game and your team lost.
Having said all of the above, nobody said it would be easy losing 37 seniors. Lets hope they learn their lessons, have a good week of practice, and play better against Blackman.
Go Bruins!

Hey moonwink, don't worry about it. Keydel, Keidel, I just call him the principle.
