No gun popping, you guys have a great respected program, I was just thinking maybe since Huntingdon got blown out a few weeks back that Mckenzie may have underestimated them a little
No way McKenzie over looked huntingdon. Too big of a rivalry to overlook. Been pretty quiet this week but great showing from the Mustangs yesterday. Have to clean those mistakes up before we play WC. Impressed with the defense last night especially 64. Monster game from him. Is the McKenzie qb a soph or junior?

Milan is loaded. Nice win. Love the rivalry and have all the respect for you in the world. Hope you win it all now. Mustangs will have this one circled next year
-
Agreed.
About the score too????
-
I'm going 36-28 Huntingdon in a shootout. Should be a great game and an unreal atmosphere as always when these two face off.
-
WC by 4 scores at least
-
I think the fact that we just played Liberty and they just played collinwood will be a big difference.
Agree. That could be the difference in the outcome IMO

The game was last night...

Nothing compares to this rivalry. Expecting a war next Friday. Milan is great and no doubt will be looking for revenge from last year. Going to be a huge crowd at Paul Ward
-
Good win tonight. Lots of speed but not very much size. Next week will definitely be a test. Good luck to Collinwood the rest of the way through. Hope you all enjoyed the trip to Huntingdon
-
Bruceton. Easy
-
Finally get to see the Stangs play football this week. 80s-90s and sunny all week in the forecast. Looking forward to Friday night. Don't know squat about Collinwood other than what I saw last year so I'm going to say we win big this week. I'll go with 5 tds.

Feeling good about this game now. Saying Huntingdon by 3 tds
-
I think this is the least amount of traffic/excitement on here for Mustang football in several seasons?
Maybe it will pick up when we play a game. I was thinking the same thing earlier
-
No one from McKenzie is as fast as Bruceton's 49. That's a fact. Kid is one of the fastest players in TN this year. I don't care what names yall want to throw out. With that being said, McKenzie will win this game by as many points as Coach Comer chooses to win by.
-
Anxious to see this. Not sure what our offensive and defensive line will look like. I expect Camden to bring their best. Could get interesting if they throw it like they did last year

Nothing shocking about this outcome. Westview graduated a ton of talent last year as will Dresden after this season. New and inexperienced players are stepping up and doing well. Lots of big talented freshmen on the sideline. All of this means a very rough season for the Chargers as Region 7 3A is loaded with Dresden caliber teams from start to finish. The future years look very bright for Westview. As for Dresden, no doubt Dresser is one of those players that dont come along very often. Rang is playing a very dangerous game with him though, its one thing if he is forced to scramble and run the ball but its another to have a run by design play for him, he has way to much talent in the backfield for that . Use Dressers arm and the legs of his running backs. Good luck to the Lions. I think Trenton and UC run games are going to be a big test for your DEF.
Might be a rough year, but the future seems bright. I think Cantrell will be a great HC

This game played out how I somewhat expected. Westview is always going to give Dresden their best, and that's what showed in the first half. Dresden just has too much talent. One of the best offenses I've seen in a long time IMO
-
Looks good to me, but don't know anything about South Pitt. Dresden is real deal and Nash Christian last year was one of the best I've seen in years
-
Anyone know game time for sure yet? Have to see this one
-
Not impressed with our offensive/defensive line play at all. Lost a lot of guys there last year and I think it will hurt. 11 Johnson is a player. Him and Pearson will score us a lot of points.
-
Who has each team scrimmaged so far?
-
IMO this is Dresden's year to win it all. Their gold ball to lose
Good luck

A good event that lasted a long time. Still just do not understand why we gave it up. All of the teams mentioned in the above post would attend every year. I would much rather see that format again.
Hearing Huntingdon might have some problems on the offensive and defensive front this year. Lexington will be the first real test so far.

Starting a high school football team is hard. Look at what Coach Stidham is doing at South Gibson... The program officially started in 2011, went 6-5. The following year they went 10-0 and was a one and done in the playoffs, lost to East Hickman. South Gibson is struggling in football. 0-3 in playoff games, and just winning 4-6 games a season in a tough region. I do consider South Gibson stable. A good youth program and a middle school team. The only thing they have to deal with is Peabody and Milan, that is what's killing them. I don't think they will get anymore transfers from Jackson like they had received in the previous years (I may get 1-3 players every once in a while). All South Gibson has to offer is a good running back duo in Tyler Dysart and Dre McAllister (both players are not originally from Medina). I guess you can say SGC is lucky to have them because they both transferred to South Gibson ready to play.
Moving on to Coach Frost and Riverside
Community went 0-10 in 2014 and 4-7 in 2015. So it's not like Community is doing great since Coach Frost's departure. Riverside has lot a lot. Hopefully this hire can bring back some positivity in Parsons. Maybe Coach Frost is committed in coaching with Coach Quinn for a while. Hope this works out! Looks like Riverside will a young team next season, so they will have to go through growing pains. Wish them nothing but the best of luck. This could be an accident waiting to happen but we will see! Good Luck Riverside and hopefully the school district in Parsons can look into a new football stadium for Riverside, this time at the high school.
I understand it's extremely difficult to start up a program anywhere. Just crazy to me that this guy is the best candidate for the job. Is he keeping the same staff? I'm sure the OC will be looking since Quinn is taking that job?

It's not about changing classifications it's about changing regions. Nothing against WC because they have a great program and have owned us the past 4 years. But playing teams like we are currently playing is doing nothing but hurting our team. It's not getting us ready for the playoffs and attendance at games has dropped noticeably. In the two years we have been in this district how many games have huntingdon and WC played that were close? My guess is that the only close game is when we play each other. It's ridiculous
