The Chargers should just line up in that Maryland "I" and run, that shotgun formation is holding you back. Use the POWER and SPEED!! but that's just my opinion

IMO, the Chargers are just fine where they're at. Heavy(Maryland I) Is power more than anything. And the Shotgun formation is called the Notre Dame Box. It primarily uses to backs to the side of the QB and the HB to pull and block establishing power and speed once in the open space. It also has the possibility to have 3 guys pulling on running plays. Davis #9 looked amazing in the Notre Dame box, which was ran the first drive of the Polk Co. game. The Notre Dame Box works. IMO the wristbands also help. It doesn't take nearly as much time as it would if the QB ran to the sidelines and back to the huddle to call the play does. MC keeps playing hard and behind the Seniors, Boyd and Johnson, they get the W. Maybe Brooks makes some plays on ST.

This game is kinda up in the air for me. I'm not real sure how good Walker Valley is and I'm not sure what team we'll see Friday. Momentum wise I would pick Central, but I know Sequoyah has a pretty darn good team that can pass very well with King under center. I'm not picking anyone to win as of now. Very close game at the end!

It was a tough loss, but even if we did not play our best we still we in a place to win in the end. McMinn central is a good team and it was going to take a great game to win. There we good thing to continue to build on.Our guys did not quit. Keep playing hard and we will be ok. Eventually we will play a school our size and not div 2. We could be 2 and 0 if we played the schedule others are playing but maybe not as good. We will a good team by playoffs. Go Bucs!

McMinn Central played Class AAA(6A) McMinn County week 1 and you don't see us complaining. It's just a part of the game.

He is a good player. I saw him play at Notre Dame last year. What did he hurt?

He dislocated his thumb early in the third quarter vs. McMinn County. He got hurt when County was leading 23-20.

Coming off the McMinn County loss, I feel very optimistic in MC's chances against Boyd Buc. Boyd Buc no doubt will have a lot of momentum in their favor, coming off the win vs. Red Bank. I was pleasantly surprised with MC's performance against County. The defensive looked very sharp. I also expect better QB play this week as well and adding a weapon like Scudder will most definetly help. If Boyd plays, and I expect he will, look for a more balanced attack on O and Central's depth on offensive will certainly be a + with Boyd, Brooks, and Johnson at halfback.
