  1. Okay, Mav4 isn't very supportive of the Mavericks to claim he's a fan. I'm tired of the negativity. Let's set you straight...Fox was clocked back to back at 4.3. It's recorded and whether you believe it or not doesn't matter. A few quarters of football, it's not surprising to see a guy slow a bit toward the end of a long run. Last week you said he wouldn't break 70 or 80 yards. 433...I'd say you need to just watch rather than predict. The only people it all really matters to are the coaches, his team mates, and the guys that ask him to sign on the dotted line. Coming back with comments like, "I'm not taking anything away from Fox", doesn't cover you. You've tried to take plenty away rather than recognize the facts. I give great credit to Fox for how he recognizes his team mates and coaches as he tries to be humble about his games. I however, am not bound by those constraints and will speak up! "Sucking Sucks! Run Faster"!
  2. Working on a highlight video. You can catch some vid clips with his 80 yard TD from this week on WBIR Channel 10. It won't let me post the link. He runs like a fullback and loves to knock heads but has explosive speed (4.3/40).
  3. You kind of missed the call on the way the game would go Mav4. It was exactly as I said, close first half with the Mavs pulling away in the 2nd and Fox killin' it again. I knew he wouldn't be held to 70 or 80 yards. However, you were pretty close on Hicks and Strickland. Here's the updated correct stats if interested Fox has 1,809 yards rushing on 153 carries which is an average of 11.82 yards per carry 18 rushing TD's which is 2.5 per game 1 game with 394 yards 10/04/2013 (school record) 1 game with 433 yards 10/11/2013 (new school record) Looking forward to Halls. The players are plotting for him to break 500 yards in a single game if the coaches will allow it.
  4. Well it's obvious that Catholic will be gunning for Fox, but so many here seem to think he'll fold tonight. I remember just a week ago the talk was the same for the Central game. I don't think Catholic has played a strength of schedule to prepare them for this Mavs team. I see a repeat of last week with a close first half and then we pull away. Great things don't happen through fear.
  5. I won't state the obvious with the AC defense. Coaches know something has to change and the players have to follow through. There will be a lot of focus by Catholic on Fox which can be an advantage for AC because the Mavs have so many weapons. Johnson, Foust, Strickland, Hicks, Smith, Ford....just to name a few. Anyone of these guys can score on you fast! AC learned this week that when it's close, if you stick together and play as a team, you can run away with it.
  6. Great win for the Mavericks to put them back on track for the gold. I would like to say I'm especially proud of Jr., but I have to be honest and give credit to the entire team as without them, he doesn't make the plays. 31 carries, 396 yards rushing, and 3 TDs. Now the tone is set for a 2k season with his current standings at 1376 yards end of game 7. Foust hasn't gotten much mention, but I will say it was key to the game the way he rattled the quarterback's brain a few times on the blitz. It was awesome to watch a guy of his size level a much larger quarterback! It hurt ten rows up! Campbell was amazing at confusing the Central running backs as they tried to get around the end. Being forced to change direction multiple times broke their speed and the plays up. Many others I could mention, but now I'm going to soak on this win, sip my beer, relax and smile.
  7. To HD, Fox is 20 yards from breaking 1k with several games left. I don't know what you consider a game changer.
  8. 842, but I'm missing one game's stats so it's unofficial. In truth, it's bigger than him. I love everyone of these guys and it's exciting to see so many playmakers doing so many great things. I love to watch each and every one of them own! Yes, they are both Jrs.
  9. Just to clarify for SS, this is the big Fox. I myself was a 4.27 laser timed by UT staff and little Fox has been laser timed at 4.3. It was said earlier that 40 time and game speed are two different things and this is correct, but I stand my ground that Gardin isn't faster. I give him credit, he's fast, but you have to have open field to use it and we aren't giving that up tonight. Either way, Fox is fast enough for college and that's the big picture. Next goal is for him to break the 1k mark...tonight. Fun to watch! It's always fun to stir the pot. lol
  10. SS, I assure you Fox is faster than Gardin unless G can beat a 4.3 40. That is being conservative of Fox's speed. I see this one close for a quarter then AC opens it up. Too many weapons.
  11. Final AC 56 AE 24. The AE announcer didn't speak after the first quarter which was a first. The Mavericks have a lot of room for improvement with missed tackles, but the offense when in sync is a machine. They are well balanced with so many weapons. The Mavs still have to play a solid team, but I have full confidence that when playing together, they can beat any team on the regular season schedule. This is going to be an exciting year.
