I think Finley and the Rebels get the win at Houston County. I won't predict A score but his team is solid enough to get this one.

I can't sit and not reply to the post about Stewart County all being Punks. Stewart County has a lot of fine young men on this team and They represent Stewart County well. Coach Cody Finley is a fine man. To me the punk is the one that would say such things. My son is on the Team and I just happen to be extremely proud of him. I have a lot of Friends in Waverly so I will just consider this one source and not waste any more time. I am sorry for Waverly to have someone like that representing Their views of other schools.

The Rebels are at the Henry County Jamboree to take On Westview at 6 PM Friday. Good Luck Rebels ! Let's See how it goes. Westview is always tough!

Good job on finishing strong in the scrimmage Rebels . Started slow on offense but finally got The passing game going. Next Friday Jamboree at Henry county vs Westview.

Stewart County Rebels at Sycamore scrimmage tomorrow night. Friday night football at 6 pm.

I thought the Rebels did ok against a much bigger Kenwood team . The Rebels did stop Kenwood on the first series. Kenwood has good Speed and gave the Rebels offense a stiff test. The Rebels did move the Ball at times and Scored on Harpeth while holding them out of the end Zone. Kenwood scored twice on the Rebel defense but I feel that the defense Is improving. Both Kenwood and Harpeth were playoff teams last year . Good Scrimmage and good luck. On to Sycamore Friday night for another scrimmage.

Stewart County has another Scrimmage tomorrow night Aug 5th At Kenwood. Will be interesting to see how the offense looks. Was Sharp last scrimmage. Hope the defense continues to improve also. Keep working them hard Coach Finley.

Rebels offense looked in sync tonight in their Scrimmage. Cody Finley has Assembled a good coaching staff and it is starting to show at Stewart. Just Have to keep working hard. The big difference between last year and this year Is The team's strength. Looking forward to the Jamboree to see how we match Up against a very good Westview team.

McEwen scrimmages Stewart County Friday evening at 6:00. I Will be interested to see how The Rebel Defense looks.

Thanks LBD for posting the information on the Cubs 2004 playoff game and how Finley was The coach and Langley was the QB. Their win in that playoff game was special. We hope that the combination of Finley and Langley can get the Rebels to the playoffs and Get a win. If they do there will be a celebration in Dover you can bet on that. Good luck to the Cubs and best wishes on a successful season.

There are several good teams in district 11AA. To say that the Rebels could hang with Lewis County would be wishful thinking. We only won three games last year and we all know what Lewis did. I do think that Finley will field a better team but how much better? Will just have to line up and play hard each game and see what happens. I do see Stewart County Becoming more competetive each year that passes with him at the helm.

Graduation was kind to the Rebels as they Return 7 or 8 on both sides of the ball. I think the experience will be a factor this season.

I watched both spring scrimmage games and offensively the Rebels will be fine. The question mark will be their defense. The Rebels will get a chance to go against a very good Martin Westview team on August 15th at Henry County in their Jamboree. Finley has definitely gotten his players stronger in the off season which was a concern when he first arrived last season. I do think his team will be more capable of staying in the games this year. He has some good skill players this season but it is a gauntlet of a schedule for the district. I am optimistic that the wins will improve this season.

Coming off a 3 win season how do you feel that Cody Finley's Rebels will fare this season. Can He win more games this season? Your thoughts please.

I appreciate the information. Sounds like the competition at this Jamboree will be tough especially for the Rebels as Both Martin Westview and Milan are tough 3A schools. Got a lot of work to do to get ready but Finley will have them ready to go.

Don't know who Stewart County will scrimmage this fall but did hear that Finley has committed to Play in the Jamboree at Henry County. Will be playing a 3A team. Looking forward to another season.

Sycamore scrimmaged Stewart County last week. They have good size and some good athletes, Don't overlook them. I believe this team can win some games.

I agree. I don't think the Rebels are looking at another 3-7 season at all. Finley has this program on the move. Was a good crowd for a scrimmage and they left pleased with what they saw. He has some weapons on offense with two 6ft wide outs and a six ft tight end. A mobile quarterback and 2 hard running senior backs. Sycamore had good size on their defense so it was a good test.

The Stewart County vs Sycamore scrimmage is today Thursday May 8th at 5:00 . Was moved up due to forecast for tomorrow.

Stewart County has it's first spring scrimmage this week vs Sycamore . Look forward to seeing how Finleys Rebels do in this one. I know that his team is definitely stronger than last year . What other teams are in action this week?

Less than 2 weeks from now we will get a preview of what we will have this fall. Spring football practice is upon us. 1st scrimmage coming soon.

LBD it sounds like you know Finley very we'll. Let's see how SCHS looks in their spring games. I do know he said when he arrived that his team was not strong enough and he had stressed strength conditioning. I also hope you are correct in the record flip flop 7 wins and 3 losses would get the hometown very excited. We had 2 of our largest gates ever last year . Very excited about this coming fall. !!!!!!! This district is tough and a challenge .

Stewart County has scrimmage games vs McEwen and Sycamore but don't know the dates. I am interested in seeing the Sycamore scrimmage as I hear they return most of their team. Anyone know?
