UC had 500 yards of offense with 25 first downs and Gibson had 350 yards of offense with 13 first downs. UC beat themselves tonight with the fumbles. Gibson County is a good football team but we handed this one to them on a platter.

I agree.  UC has always ran the double wing to perfection.  They were not in sync tonight. Take away the turnovers and you have  a much closer game. We had trouble stopping the run.  I would not count UC out.  They are like fine wine they only get better as time and the season goes on.  Great program and classy bunch of people. Good luck the rest to the season to the Tornadoes the rest of the season.

I'm not taking away from the Pioneers. It was a good win for our kids but we need to move on to next week.

Watched this game. Very good linebacker for GC. I’ll even go as far as saying this Gibson county should be top two in this district! Good luck to GC this year, and can’t wait till y’all make the short trip to the Palace!

We have a lot of work to do.  We had way to many penalties on O. I think losing a couple of guys prior to the season due to injuries and our lack of experienced depth may take its toll in the long run.  If OC would have completed a couple passes and executed a couple plays it may have been a different game.  Ill be happy if we make the playoffs this year but its going to be a struggle IMO.  As always Goldenpride, I appreciate the kind words and enjoy reading your post.  BTW,  Impressive win by the Tide Thursday night.

Nothing but good things to say about GC! Classy bunch

Its always a pleasure reading your post.  With your line, QB and physical play  you all should go deep into the playoffs.  Best of luck to you guys this year.  Best of luck to you this season.

Fairley hasn't had anybody fight them like we have tonight. Their first two scores were one play drives. Since then they have had to fight for everything. They have had 3 TDs called back for holding or block in the back. I'm beginning to see frustration on their players. They have no answer for our full back.

I like where we are right now. We have had two penalties for a total of 20 yards. Number 21 is having a monster game right now. I believe the Fairley coach has his team practicing right now just outside of the stadium. I hear a lot of yelling

Keep frustrating them....pulling for you guys

We lost 5 fumbles last night and still managed to put 49 points on the board. I'm don't believe we can do that again. There was a huge problem with the center QB exchange last night. Plus the fact that Douglas had 8-9 men in the box coming hard every play. That worked between the tackles but leaves the perimeter vulnerable. So that is where we attacked. I'm certain Fairley will be watching this film and be ready to take away both areas. But then there is always the QB read. This guy is good at making the right decision. Last night he cut up field several times when I thought he was going to pitch it to the tailback. He got positive yards and scored a couple of TDs by fooling the defense into playing for the pitchman. Of course when the defense played the QB he would pitch the ball and get what we could on the perimeter. Douglas seemed very committed to stopping our full back but he still ended up with 200 yards due to some long runs once he got past the stacked box. We have changed a couple of things in our offense but I ain't saying what those changes are. I feel like we will be able to compete this week if we can stop fumbling the dang ball. Just saying

Their DE's are strong and contained us good.  The outside linebackers can get to the perimeter quick and they do know how to tackle.  I think they will be coached up. I will be surprised if the  OLB's /DEs are not assigned to bird dog your QB, run throw or pitch all night.

I really think if you can hold on to the ball and play UC ball by grinding them down you will win. BTW that is impressive about your FB.  I'm happy for him and hope he keeps it up.
