Nope. New school has been open for 3 years. The cap was the old school and enrollment numbers in the high 400's. Alcoa is now at 683 Enrollment.  Class 3A cap is around 740.

    No rumors....check my numbers! :thumb:

Whine? You can detect some dont give a @!$# about the pics you just posted, its called a visit. Happens all over the country, congrats I hope the kid does well. We have scouts at practice and games and kids go on visits, but I dam sure am not boasting on it here like an arrogant turd. Are you coaching staff at Alcoa? Booster? Help set up these visits? Or just a Blow Hard? I actually was trying to have an intellegent convo in the beggining. Grow up!

Hang on and we will all bow I guess, theres one in every crowd and you must be he.........tell us more about these coaches at all your practices, are you the pivot man? Or are you in charge of clean up.....You dont usually see many 3A teams with that kind of clout, its more 5A, 6A, division I or ll and private. Well keep on rollin like you are I guess.....

We got two transfers from last year. One of them came from IMG the other played at AMS and transferred out in 9th grade. Decided to come back to Alcoa for his senior year….

Ok got it. We got a few horses ourselves, should be an entertaining night.

Much appreciated. Alcoa continues to break their own records. :thumb: Yup, actually they do. We do occasionally get a transfer or two. Just like about every other school in the state of TN…:popcorneater:

Do ya'll butter your popcorn at the stadium or is it plain?

Giles Bobcats will not be able to beat Alcoa Tornado in this game. It will not happen. I guarantee it. Alcoa Tornado is too good to let it happen to them. Does anyone want to bet me? I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

Well would you look at that! If that don't beat all.....I know Captain Kangaroo, Captain Caveman and Captain Fantastic. Now I know Captain Guru. My day is complete.

I have a suspicion about how the brass was notified but I will keep this suspicions to myself.  I agree...it sucks that the other players that have worked so hard are having their season ripped out from under them. Good bunch of kids that just want to play ball. I'll be pulling for y'all to get a win these last two games and if everything goes as planned y'all can get in the playoffs and make some noise. Make the playoffs and let those young men feel like their season wasn't a total loss! Go get em Bobcats!

Illuminati  bro. I know some ppl and I'll leave it at that. I hate that y'all are having to go through this as much as anyone. Like I said, just going off of what I was told, I firmly believe the coaches had zero knowledge that anything had changed.

You are correct Lead, the coaches did not know about this and yes same here, we know a few people too and how the brass was notified. Nothing makes this right, but I hate that all the other players have to pay this price.......

No son, he's a tight end. His hands are too calloused from the mill to grip and throw a ball.

Hey, got a serious question for you Giles folks..

Is the county some kind of state wide open zone where you can live wherever and attend school at Giles? I ask because I've got a nephew who's a freshman tight end down here at Squatch co. The boy is already 6'4 and 225 lbs of solid muscle.

The boy's had a part time job at the mill since he was 12, just working a couple nights a week and weekends. that right there shows you he's got a great work ethic, especially since he's too young to join the union. Anyhow, along with picking up all that good stuff, like a work ethic, 401k etc, he's let some of the bad elements rub off on him as well, and he's smoking about a pack of Winstons a day. Hard to fault the boy really, between his job and football and making it to school most days, thats a lot to put on a young man.

The issue we're having is coach has a firm rule about players not burning heaters on the sidelines during games, but in my opinion its pretty unfair to ask a kid to go 2.5, maybe even 3 hours if the game goes into overtime without even one or two smoke breaks like he's accustomed to at work. If coach doesn't bend on this rule, his momma is gonna be looking to get him enrolled somewhere else, and if Giles has this statewide open zone free transfer thing like I've been told, it would be the perfect spot for him.

His momma is a truck driver for Sysco, and her route goes right near Giles co every Sunday evening, so it's kinda perfect. She was figuring on just letting him off and having him stay with teammates or whoever during the week, then swinging down to get him Friday night. I'm guessing y'all have some kind of program where the booster club or whoever pay for an apartment for him, but we're not looking for a handout. He'll have to earn that apartment with his play on the field. He's been brought up right.

I've heard Coach O'Connor is a reasonable man, and  looks out for the players best interest, (unlike what he's been dealing with here in Squatch co) so if we can get the green light on him being able to just be able to have 3-4 cigs a game, I think this might be a great option for him. Any advice is appreciated. Also if anyone has a line on a job, he'd like to keep working at least a couple nights a week. He's already been told if this works out, he's not missing class to work day shift. Not until he produces on the field at least. thanks again in advance for your help.

    Now thats funny...
