Westmoreland likes to water their field down before home games I found this out when TC played Westmoreland so they will be right at home with a wet field if there is no rain Westmoreland has a slim to no chance at all at beating MC

That's funny but not true.   For years Westmoreland has had drain issues on the Visitors side of the field.  That side used to be a swamp but dirt has been brought in to  built it up for the visitor bleachers and also to build on to the school.  I 100% guarantee you that the Water was not turned on to slow down TC.  Our field is a lot better than it used to be but it still needs attention.

  2. Jo Burns should be unstoppable in 1A with the talent they have.  To me, they are not nearly as good as they should be.  JB will get the 5 starters who were out  last week back the next time they play at home.  These 5 ware black and white Jerseys.  Get  ready next year Gordonsville.  You can't beat them with those 5 back.

  3. We need to play fundamental Football 101.  If we are on the 50 with 4th down and 3 and we have the lead, punt the football.   The decision last week not the punt the ball was a game changer.   Length of field matters in Football especially when everything has to go your way to win because you are a young team.

  4. Even though our record don't reflect it, I feel like Westmoreland is better than the last two years.   I don't have a child playing so I am not biased.  Macon County game we were in it to win it at the end and fell short.  TC game is a different story.  We were in it for a quarter..   Jo Burns game handled like a regular game could have possibly been a win.  I am going to say Westmoreland regroups after that mess last Friday night and wins this game 14 - 7.

  5. After the game and Jo Burns who knows what Westmoreland will do.  Unlike TC not telling who is out of the game,  Westmoreland had 2 key players ejected at Jo Burns.   I am 47 years old and have been around High School Football all my life.  The Officiating at Jo Burns was the worst I have ever seen period at any sporting event.   It is impossible to describe how bad it was unless you were there.  I feel sorry for the two side judges who I believe had to be depressed after that game based on the way the refs on the field handled that game.  I wish the film could be posted nationally so people could see it.   I try to handle myself professionally and morally in a decent manner.  With that said,  how some of the parents of the players was able to take that, is beyond me.

  6. Would yall work this out before you come to Westmoreland?  This is ridiculous.  I would hate to see a fight on the Visitors side Friday night but if things don't change it might just happen.  Number 5 is hurt.  Everybody knows it.  It's no Secret.  Westmoreland Coaches knew it as soon as it was made official.  There is no hiding this with all the social media.  Men, act  like Men.  Women, act like Women.  TC has a back up FB that will be getting carries.  No problem.  Guess what, if Westmoreland's RB goes down the game will go on and the ball will be given to his backup.

  7. I played for Roger Perry from the 7th to the 12th grade.  Roger was Trey's age at that time.  Trey used to run around the field house and we would pick at him.  He was cute little boy.  Now he is a man and it's in his blood very thick to be hard nosed, aggressive and out work any team around.  I bet his teams lose very few weight lifting Competitions.  I am 100% behind you Trey.  Hang tough.

Watertowns best teams in history were 1977 and 1985 when there were only 3 classes instead of the dozen or so now and only district champs & runnerups made the playoffs.

Last yrs team was good but not on par with those two teams.

I rushed for 185 yards and a touchdown or two against the 85 Tigers.  On the 2nd play from scrimmage I took it to the house on a long trap play.  We had 3 plays called without huddling to start the game.  We also hit Watertown with a fake punt pass from our own 20 yard line for a touchdown.  Watertown was blocking punts on everybody that year by putting all eleven up on the line so we just slipped our tide end out and threw the ball to him.  We may have been the only team to beat Watertown that year but not sure about that.
