Do you guys still have the strippers with the band....lol

Very low class to call 15/16/17 year old high school girls strippers. They’re called majorettes; but I don’t expect you to be able to understand or comprehend the correlation based off your comment. Smmfh

Also a few things I want to point out...... if y’all want to count this as dominance of  maryville  cool, but us  memphis  would  like to  just respectably say they won the field position battle.   From the full game I saw  in person as well as the highlights.  There were A bunch of turnovers  that flipped field position and put Oakland in scoring territory And the rest was history. I wouldn’t by far say they dominated maryville, But being down early from turnovers  it’s hard to gameplan and make adjustments to overcome such a large deficit/hole you’ve dug  yourself into.  Oakland  CAN FLATFOOT   BALL! This we all know, but turnovers are apart of the game  and me first hand being at this game , I  Saw  a team that had to change their whole  gameplan.  Maryville   Didn’t Play to “maryville standards” , but that’s no excuse when they have been dominant for so long. All credits go to Oakland’s defense and  there ability to score off of turnovers..  something I  WOULD LOVEEEEE TO SEE MY ALMA MATER  ADAPT TO DOIN. “Scoring off the turnovers “. if I’m not mistaken Oakland forced 7 turnovers this game and 4 or 5 of those were in maryville  territory And that’s something you can’t do against a GREAT TEAM.

Welcome to the T and I get exactly what you’re saying. That’s the same thing I was telling people after our first game against Germantown when we got beat 37-19. If you turn the ball over while the other team doesn’t and converts your turnovers into points it appears to you got dominated but in reality it’s more self inflicted wounds. It’s a part of the game but if you bring your C/D/F game against a good team and they’re  bringing their A game, it’s  gonna get real ugly fast. Domination is when both teams are playing to the best of their abilities and one is just clearly outmatched and overpowered. The second half of the Ravenwood game was domination. If we don’t bring our A game against Oakland it’s gonna get ugly fast. If we come out focused and executing like we know we can. Oakland won’t know what hit them. Teams are banking on us being undisciplined, sloppy, and out coached... and then when we show we’re not reality will set in.

WH lost to Lausanne and Germantown.  I’ve seen highlights and wasn’t that impressed tbh.

Dang I could’ve sworn we just beat Germantown in the playoffs. And let’s just say Lausanne caught us with a few pieces missing.  Everybody’s healthy now and hopefully we’ll win the appeal to let our db play who was ejected out for a bogus targeting call against RW

You can play that all you want. I have picked WH every game this year except the trip to AR. I think you have a great program and good coach. Obviously talented. As typical you’re trying to turn it into something it’s not. I just think Oakland is the superior team; discipline, talent and coaching. I never said one thing negative about your team or coach. Someone has to be better in each of those categories and I feel it’s Oakland day in all three.

No one said you’re being negative. I think it’s just general curiosity and wondering if this is just a gut feeling or do you have anything substantial to expound on in support of this opinion that they are the “SUPERIOR” team in all 3 phases. I mean I guess beating Maryville 38-0 has that effect. I get it, I get it...

Not what I said but typical whoa is me expression. I said Oakland is more disciplined, more talented and better coaching. WH dudhy get here without it, they’re just not as good as Oakland in any of the above.

I disagree but please enlighten and entertain me. What makes them more talented and better coached?

What gets lost in the game is Without Hodge, Maryville was forced to do things that were pretty reckless, at least for them. I expect this to be pretty similar to 2016, if either team scores more than 20, I'd be very surprised

Our offense is a lot more explosive than the 2016 team. The only way we don’t score over 20 is if we turn the ball over. I know Oakland has a couple studs in the secondary. Should be an interesting matchup with their Oklahoma commit DB covering our two SEC Wrs.

Regardless. He has to sit out of the championship game. I hate it for him. That guy carried the team at QB during the regular season, to get to play his natural position of safety during the post season. To have his last chance to play in the championship game stripped like that make you feel bad for him. He laid a lick on the WR to jar the ball loose, and had his season end. We will have to win one for the Gipper!

I hate it for him too especially when he was just trying to play his heart out like he’s done all season...But I loved the way I saw him encouraging his teammates and keeping them motivated going into that second half. I agree; it just adds extra motivation to get the job done next week.

For sure one of the good coaches in the state. would love to see him coach at a school without constant 3/4 stars, though. nothing against him just kinda reminds me of Les Miles

Whitehaven hasn't always had constant 3/4 stars although we’ve always had the talented athletes. It’s the way he’s built the program that has taken it to the next level. Whitehaven student athletes get recruited like they do because it’s the standard. It’s a lot of schools in Memphis that have the same caliber athletes that Whitehaven has.

It looked like helmet to helmet from my angle. Whitehaven fans not happy, neither would I be if that would be called against my team. Oh well. We took the yards and scored the next play. Haven is good at the line of scrimmage so I’ll take any points. Game far from over.

It looked like a big hit to dislodge the receiver from the ball to me. I don’t get how they took the player out the game but picked up the flag and didn’t give y’all the penalty yards? You’re right far from over.

So us 4-5 Whitehaven posters have to talk amongst ourselves to get any traction on the board I see... well here goes nothing: kwc, DannyQ, Coach10ac and Havengrad04 what are ya'll doing for Thanksgiving? What time will you arrive to the Stadium Friday? Do you have an X factor player in mind?

    Go

Eating good, drinking gooder, and watching football with the family.

I’ll be there right at 7 soon as I get off work. One X factor will be our secondary taking advantage of their spread type offense and forcing turnovers. I saw on highlights we had at least two picks that we dropped. We should’ve scored more against Germantown last week with all the turnovers they had so the offense has to take better advantage of opportunities the defense gives us. We have the clear advantage out wide but Sneed having succes running will be the main X factor. What is Ravenwoods dline looking like?

said the same thing the first two games.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see but now that I think about it actually the first teo games I remember us getting out coached and out schemed. Defense is gonna have to play extremely disciplined and focused against Ravenwood.
