Well….i went to the science hill /db game and it was bad game!  DB was down double digits in first and then the refs blew 7/8 fouls on SH and 1 on db in 2nd quarter…I sat kinda behind db bench towards the middle so I could hear the coaches and watched SH coach game plan and actually coach while db coach did a lot of crying to refs with hands raised up, instead of coaching.  It ended up being a close game because SH started taking the air out of the ball.  I did hear several people saying another player quit this week and that made about 5 so far this season and that kids quit every year….if so, sounds like a problem but it

I’ll just post what I’ve heard. I’ve been told the Oliver family lives in Johnson City. I’ve also been told that the family toured Science Hill (and was pleased with what they saw) sometime early last summer. At the time, Cutlip was still the HC for the Toppers. This is where things apparently went downhill. Word is the family was not impressed at all with Cutlip and how he ran “his program”. It’s amazing the amount of talent that man seems to have run off during his time at The Hill.

Cutlip ends up resigning but it took about a month for a new coach to be hired and the Oliver kid was already enrolled at DB and the decision from his family had been made and settled on.

Your way off on that comment. I ask the same question to the SH coach Saturday He said the Oliver kid was coming to SH and was playing for Cutlip like his style of coaching but when he resigned The AD Turner wouldn't tell him who the coach was going to be so he took him to DB .But said the youngest Oliver was coming to SH next year

    My guess:

    1. Farragut
    2. Siegel
    3. Winner of Clarksville/Mt. Juliet
    4. Houston
    5. Collierville

The rest is up in the air. Can Hardin Valley go to Powell and get a win? Can Seymour get there? Who else comes out of R3 or R4? Maybe Independence slides in? I think Clarksville and Mt. Juliet are both good enough to get there, but only one can move on.

Man you wasn't close at all

You're better on the football thread. Poore is better than the last two coaches at DB but It remains to be seen if he can build any kind of powerhouse. The schedule has been weak this year so I can't tell if their that good or not. They need more talent before I'll call them a powerhouse.

He still building that power house or did he decide to wait untill next year

But if its next year why cancel against Catholic  this year? Afraid like I've said. Dobyns Bennett played Providence and Baylor. Crockett played Maryville Christian and Concord Christian who knows about other Big 7 teams.

Don't have a clue.Unless it was because Mains tried to get some of the girls to come play there. But we can't say there scared they've played alot of good teams the last 5 years.and the have a good team this year

Yea your wrong. I know Crockett played at least 2 private schools already around Christmas so it's just Science Hill being afraid. Science Hill has always been a bunch of crybabies and always will.

Starting NEXT year if you had listened. And I'm not taking up for SH iv seen were they've always played good  teams every year.Christ came through and took 4 local players from DB @ SH and they don't play them anymore.Im saying the smaller schools couldn't afford to lose there best players to the private schools and there not gaining anything playing them. Your telling me your ok if a private school came in and took your best players?Memphis schools are raising heck right now because Houston had 4 D1 players transfer in there this year from Texas and other places so its not just here

Science Hill were the only ones interviewed so they afraid.

Yeah wrong he said the Big 7 as a whole has voter not to play private schools thats going to talk to there players. Its not fair to any of the high schools because they can't recruit. Dont start a program if you depend on taking players from other schools and then expect them to play you.I really hope all the local schools band together and say if you lake any player all of ours will no longer play you and they'll stop if they can't get games. Some of these teams can't afford to lose not 1 player

I agree Houston and Arlington should be at the top.  Who would be out of Middle TN AAA?  I know Siegel should be up there.  As for East TN right now in AAA, I would say Dobyns-Bennett, Oak Ridge, and Bearden from what I have seen so far.

If DB is there so is Science Hill .Play Bearden very tough. And so is Morristown East

  10. I believe it has to do alot with Catholic trying to recruit these local teams players.Thats why DB SH stop playing Christ out of NC.They just took there top girls player and the way I understood it they tried to get one of their boys players.I wouldn't blame any school for not wanting to play these school and they lost to M East earlier. And the way I heard it DB is going to do the same thing

D-B is building a powerhouse Basketball team under Chris Poore. Indians have 2 starting 5's and they can all score, inside and outside.. DB averages 78pts a game so far and are shooting 50%+ FG's.

Indians play at TN High tonight and at Jefferson County on Saturday. This is going to be a fantastic resurgence for the Indians Boys Basketball program.

I think your going way overboard saying powerhouse. I about laughed till I cried when I read that. Then you get beat by lowly  Jeff Co
