  1. say what you will about DC's schedule this year but it WAS just what the Dr ordered. with ONE returning starter from last years squad these guys needed an opportunity to develop as individual players and ultimately gel as a unit and they've done just that. their schedule would not have been well suited for a team who's nucleus had been together for 1,2 or more years but again, perfect for them. aside from one blow out loss to LA, DC has been in every game. Compare DC in its first game to DC in its last game and you'll see two very different teams.

Mega kuddos to the coaching staff for pushing the boys but at the same time remaining patient with them as they developed.

2 players from last years team who were injured during football season will return after the break. Beck (Guard) and Bone (SF) are a dynamic 1-2 punch. Bone is as good as athlete as you'll find in the District, Beck's growth has been outstanding at the PG position. Manages the game well, can drive, shoot or kick at will. If Bone were strictly a post player he'd be a force to recon with near the rim.

Props to the big dogs in the District for where they're at but DC ain't the same team it was a couple months ago. Got there work cut out for them for sure, but there is a "storm a brewin" in DC

You are dreaming and fine dream there.

  2. Beck and Aldino are also pretty good scorers too. We may end up with another 4-10 year in the district but we're still not as one dimensional as last season. Roller was a great shooter but if he was off we pretty much had no hope.

If Bone is off or in foul trouble there is no hope

  3. None of DeKalbs games were close. I thought Sewanee would give us trouble but we dismantled them.

It's frustrating that our first true test will be in a pretty big rivalry game against Warren this Friday.

I'll say again that losing two starters hasn't hurt us nearly as much as I thought it would. Don't sleep on DC this year. Better defense and more balanced scoring than last season.

I hope you are right but you can't judge anything by the teams they played. They were all bad bad bad. Not hard stop Bone and it's over

  4. you do realize UH has several black players and one black coach don't you? That's bad to try and play the race card. And there are 7 teams in 8aa. 5 made the post season. Smith and Cannon didn't. Macon made it but UH beat them, so they were not 6th. Top team was LA, and as of now have made it just as far as ND. But in 4a. Don't got district bashing.

Finished 6th but overall wins counts toward playoffs more than district order of finish after 1st and 2nd place teams.

  5. I said 62-7. We had one touchdown called back. So I guess I was sooooooooo right. Like I said earlier CCS who we played in the first round and were 4-6 could have beat Puffermen. They like CCS didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Your district has to be pathetic. I was a so ashamed to hear your players call some of are kids racist words. They did the same thing last year. I don't know why I expected anything different. I hope we never have to see Uppermen again. Oh by the way our freshman teamed scored on you all too. Your fans were great as well as your cheerleaders they never quit cheering. Have a safe trip home. Play another weak schedule and you'll probably make the playoffs again. I sincerely hope not.

They finished 6th in the district.

  6. The most whining I've heard is when that team that lost to Cannon beat the U.

Upperman not very good finished like 6th in weak district and played weak single A teams to make playoffs. Advance to second round because get one of the weak district teams first round. All the talk about losing 20 something seniors but still made it to play offs is smoke and mirrors.

With the proposed regions for next year you will have one more non district game to schedule and I bet Ben has been blowing up Pickett Co phones.

  7. CYork offical stat line vs ND: 11/22 W 19-10 Notre Dame. Passing 18 of 32 for 220 yards. Rushing 29 rushes 206 yards 7.10 avg 2td. http://www.unapproved website.com/athlete/connor-york/Z0a5wvTzEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/gendersport/football-stats.htm 426 yards and two td's on offense and a int on defense good enough of an effort for you Booger?

Get out of the past and get to the present like everyone else

  8. Will say probably could have or should have won 2 or 3 more games but losing Milan unexpectedly really change the ceiling for this team. He was the speedster that made a lot of other things work. And then tons of injuries along the way hasn't helped either. Playing 7 and 8 sophomores on offense since about week 3 so not as experienced as you make it sound. From an 0-3 start to winning 5 of last 7 and could have won both of them but weather played somewhat of a role in both games. Think responded well and overall not a bad season but glad expectations are higher now because that is what helps make a program continue to grow. But to say we should go beat one of the top

Programs in class 4a or it's not a success is unrealistic.

  9. Need to win this game or the season will be a huge disappointment. We only lost 3 or 4 seniors and returned almost everyone. Not just great making the playoffs when 32 out of 40 teams make the playoffs. We need this win or 5-6 is satisfactory for most fans. Maybe being unrealistic, but I had higher expectations for this team. Go DC.

  10. Linder is an excellent athlete. I'll give him his fair credit due, we couldn't stop him, that's for sure. Is he the best in the state...I'd say that's a stretch. He single handily beat YI last night. LA is above the rest of the district and have proved that week after week, so not taking anything away from that. Turing point in the game was right before the half. YI just couldn't help themselves last night, fumbles, bad snaps, botched fair catches, and trying to arm tackle. As far as LA having too many athletes for anyone to handle, I only saw just one, and when they face another team that can match his speed, they'll really be tested. Looking forward to next year, when 3A plays more 3A teams and LA will face more 4A schools as it should be. This district is so messed up, 7 teams with 4 3a team, makes it tough playing half your district games against teams a class higher. Some will argue that doesn't make a difference, but taking a school with 650 students and a school with 1000 students is gonna give you a better athletic pool to make a team. I will say this for our Dragons, those guys never quit, they kept playing. They are much improved and have a lot to be proud of. Beginning of the season, we were at 1-4 and these guys have battled back to make it to 5-5. Coach Wright has made a huge difference in this team and would like to wish them the best during the playoffs.

    Hollers Eldridge Hayes ???

Linder only one you saw cause evidently all was needed.

  11. Disagree on to many athletes I would say to much Linder. And far as "working" on game situation up 42-13 on side kick classless. Talk of later scores does that mean the last two for Linder late really doesn't matter? Our two late scores were by back up running backs can La say that? There was so much grumbling about UH padding stats last year if the game was out of reach midway through 3rd quarter why is Linder still in the game in the 4th.

Don't disagree with you at all on that. He should have been out and the on side kick was trash. Just saying they have way more athletes than the rest of us and it's hard to hang with them for 4 quarters

  12. i don't see anything wrong with going for an onside kick at that point in the game... york went for 2 earlier in the game the second one looked like york got the ball back but refs say they missed it by half a yard. there are times when a team will do something when they are up big just to work on it in game action and see what they need to work on. Congrats to livingston i mean linder lol on a great game. All i know is that game was a lot closer than the score would indicate. Big turning point came with 1.2 seconds left in the first half and linder breaks off a 70 yd td on a draw play that had york coaches been paying attention would never have happend bad clock management. York coaches must be scratching there head as to how 1 person can beat you that bad. You can't arm tackle linder that is for sure that boy has some serious skills. good luck to both teams in the playoffs!!!

    .

Game was over midway through 3rd. Couple late scores when it's over doesn't make it a close game. Like everyone else hung with them for a half but too many athletes in the end. Linder is a beast but part that makes him so effective is all the other athletes you have to worry about too
