There are over 100 kids who have worked hard for tonite to represent their communities so why dont we just focus on them. Should be a better game than recent years and worth the price of admission.

One thing is for sure, MC and SP really know how to do rivalry right.  Someone should write a book.  Of course that someone would probably have to be form MC seeing how they'd have to be able to write.

Well at least there is some spice to this year's game,  I was worried for a while there.

What a joke.  SP has 3 GC players on their roster and and another person and MC gets probation for not having any GC players on our roster.  I warned em to sweep the JES parking lot regular for skilletheads with spyglasses.  

When was the last year they had a game parade? Remember those? I would like to see ole Roy setting on a float.

The parade is now the line waiting to get into the game.

Man, I hope the game is better than this stupid thread.  Only because of a sense of duty would one wade through this pile.

3 to 1 odds traditionally would correlate to 25% chance of winning.  5 to 1 would be about 17% chance of winning.  I think they meant 1 to 3 (75% chance) for MC winning or else the most likely outcome in their opinion would be a tie.

I’m terribly sorry that you guys are bothered by this… The captain can’t help that the kid likes to play football. Seriously back to my original question. What would you do in this situation? You bunch of loon’s act like he should only be allowed to get an education? If you are going to allow the kid to be in the hallways etc. Then you can’t just say you aren’t allowed to play organized football. The problem here is if it was any other kid, even a girl for that matter that wanted to participate in an extra-curricular activity besides football not a single one of you would be complaining. 

You are wrong, I would be concerned if the person in question was roaming the halls regardless of whether he was playing anything.  You really don't know what you are talking about.  Everyday people who behave badly are excluded from the goings on of polite society.  Truth is, personally I could care less if he plays ball, and in fact I am more excited about this game if he is playing, it will only add to the skillethead suffering.  You on the other hand only care that he is playing football and may help you at the expense of all other considerations.  You can lie to yourself and say it is all about the kids but it is not true and it aint true for VictRoy either.  The lie that it is all about the children is the same lie that the liberals have used to destroy this once great nation,  Its really all about how can I cash in on this myself, so join the club.

This is a real tear jerker here.  Such compassion for another's future is rarely seen nowadays.

Let's see your stance here. What do you do in that situation as administration? Do you tell a 16-year-old kid sorry man you messed up no education you don't have a future anymore? I thought as adults we are supposed to lead and guide our youth to learn from those mistakes? Wouldn't that be awesome if the kid turned around and got an education and made something of himself instead of drifting off down a dark path? I'm just curious would you really cut some down at 16 years old when they come seeking opportunity?

I agree with you.  I now see that you and the rest of the skilletheads are only interested in this young man's future. I apologize.  I now see because of re-reading your first post  that you were much more deeply involved and invested in his case than just what you learned from Hudl highlights.  Please re-post it so that anyone who missed or misconstrued the first time can gain an understanding into your real motivation.  Sorry to run but its time to  .

He was kicked out for threatening at teacher and administrator with violence a couple weeks ago in class, after he had been arrested this past spring for bound and gagging a elder woman and robbing her at gunpoint in her home. Which before that was found to have burglarized a car in Scottsboro from which the gun came from to rob the lady. Which before that he was found in Arkansas as a runaway. Again, its all over the news along with the mug shots. Just use your GOOGLE. 

But lets give him a "2nd Chance". As long as he is with your kids and your teachers, not mine.

There is a reason that NJ is loosing players LOL! btw who would want to go there when two have already transfered to sp from that place! Little birdy said it ain't what it use to be!   I also think you guys might have gotten one as well if i'm not mistaking even if he was from jasper you still got a NJ transfer last year that was undoubtedly the best players in the area!  

I'm sure your just concerned with all the young people's well-being. Your compassion is really touching. I see a 30 for 30 in the future.  At first by your original post I thought you were concerned only about football, but after I re-read your original post I realized that you are really close to this young man and have only the purest motives.

this is quite honestly the best post yet concerning this situation! I don't understand why Scottsboro kicked him out of school? This crime was not committed at school? Then why would NJ tell him no as well? Something fishy going on here? I mean after all NJ told him to go on up the road.. wonder why?

If those boys in NJ aren't interested you know something is up.  Like I said I don't think Ole Miss would touch this one, not ever back in the day.

I think that Meigs went into the game last year too amped up and they played really tight in the beginning and it was over before they settled in.  Maybe playing on the road will help them.  Sometimes playing in front of the home crowd in a big game can be an extra burden, paricullarly for a young team.
