This thread sounds like a setup.

They had to forfeit a bunch of games. Not sure why.

I think I read they played a kid in his 5th year of high school.

Looks like Carter lost again to a quality. Big numbers vs weak teams. Can't seem to come thru against good teams. Think the final was 96-72? Was Carter at full strength.

 

Bearden ranked #1 in Triple A. Two good wins vs Jeff co and Maryville bad loss against Heritage. 7 wins against A and AA teams. Big game vs Maryville coming up.

 

Oak ridge keeps on rolling. No challenges for them til region.

 

CAK and Catholic still seem to be heading for a big Game. Best in their district. Fulton not dominate but seem to find a way to win. Ranked 5 in the state. Not sure they are best AA team in knoxville.

Everybody in CC land will be pulling for AC tonight.

Was going to say "you're welcome" for taking care of Gibbs tonight, but looks like ya'll didn't take care of business. What a strange year this has been. Does anybody want second place?

 

On another note, this is the worst I have seen refs ever. They were horrible tonight. At one point the Gibbs coach yelled at the tall female ref "you are cheating these kids". One of those gym is all quiet type awkward moments. Of course she "T'd" him up.

They were horrible on both sides.

Everybody in CC land will be pulling for AC tonight.

Halls is 0-6 in district play. That's not inconsistent. Oak Ridge may have had the inconsistent game. Didn't see that game, but just saying. AC is playing really well lately. They had a good win last week vs Hardin Valley. They controlled that game start to finish. Won it by 13.

Dominant win over Halls tonight for AC. 46-12 at half. Limited minutes for starters in the second half. The final score doesn't quite tell the story. They ended up winning by 16.

Second half of the district season coming up. Predictions for this week?

Hayes coming back has helped tremendously. Hayes had 22 and Bingham had 26. They look alot more like they were playing this summer. Should give a different look to CC the second game.

C Crazy what's going on with the cougers? 4 game losing streak? Do they have some injuries?

I don't think it will matter. Clinton doesn't look real good. They were blown out by 50ish by a real good Carter team. And lost by 20 to South Doyle. A source told me it should have been more. I don't think Locker will want to, his only chance to steal a win. But Green has nothing to worry about in my opinion.

Well I don't know if I know what I'm talking about but for Titan to say AC finishes second in our district is absurd! They've won a grand total of 6 district games the last three seasons and they had a lot more talent on two of those teams for sure. If their so confident in their team why wouldn't they reschedule the first CC game? U know why? Because CC will be missing 4 players and two starters to fball playoffs. AC doesn't have any fballers and see a chance to steal a district win. But that's the way it goes.

The six district games they won were last year. All those juniors and soph. are returning this year. So obviously those other two teams weren't as talented as you thought.

As far as rescheduling the game, I don't know why you're worried about that - your football players will be available late Friday night lol.

As for my thoughts on districts?

 

3AAA. 1-OR. 4AAA 1- maryville

2- Powell. 2- Farragut

3- karns. 3- heritage

4- CC. 4- HVA

 

Now, AC, Gibbs, central, could grab fourth. There's not that much difference in 3-9.

 

Same with bearden. They could get fourth. I see the rest of this district down for sure, with LCity the worst.

 

I heard LCity cancelled there HOF game with CC? Really? You play in that district and you won't go play lil ole CC?? They must be bad. CC had to scramble to get Sevier county for HOF.

 

Honestly oak could win our district without any and all of their fballers. Maryville will be solid. I see these two as our sub state teams. If Higgins plays and Middleton keeps doing the right things, this team will play for another state championship. They are as good as any private school out there. Heck, they were better than the team they lost to last year, but that's the way it goes.

just my opinion. Mayville is loaded. Farragut has quality senior leadership.

contender for what???? Fourth place? Contenders challenge the top team, and nobody will contend with Oak Ridge.

I'll predict right now they go undefeated in district play, with an average margin of victory of 25 points.

Nobody is going to pick against Oak Ridge. They are the clear favorite. They will challenge Oak Ridge and their margin will be less than 25. I just don't think any other team has improved and moves up. AC finished fourth (tied) last year. Or should i say co-fourth place lol. They were young. They have good senior leadership. I feel like they have improved, and are playing good team ball. They will finish better than 4. I will predict 2nd.

I don't know a lot about the other teams and I'm sure they all have football players missing from their teams. But I do know about AC, and they were the only team their that had their entire team. They have no football players that play basketball. Heard Scott beat AC pretty bad too.

Misinformed. It was a tight game. AC will be a contender in the district this year. If Bruce doesn't play they were at full strength.

Clinton was 3-2 at home and 4-1 on the road this year. So to say Clinton cant win on the road?

They played Gibbs, Powell, Central, , Sequoya, and AC on the road. Which of these are quality wins? Central and Gibbs are playoff teams but are not quality teams.

I just don't see Clinton getting a win on the road. Clinton plays bad teams good, but I just don't think they are there yet to get a playoff win. 35-21
