White County got beat by the AP #9 team in AA… so if they’re the best in AAA than we know AA must be loaded.

AA # 10 Cannon Co played White Co twice earlier this season and only lost by 10 and 6 points. I think Cannon could've won one of those if it wasn't for foul trouble

  2. There a few who are trying to make the argument that somehow the refs were purposely favoring York. I know several refs and trust me, they could care less who wins or loses. When you start blaming refs, then you're excusing bad play. What were the shooting percentages for both teams? Sounds like york deserves credit for beating a good team

  3. I didn't go to the game last night, but I think poor officiating is something that teams have to deal with. Unfortunately, it's just part of the game, like bad turnovers or bad a shooting night. I would argue that Upperman is in a better position than most teams to withstand foul trouble. They have more depth than any other team in 8AA. Did anyone foul out? Also, UHS hasn't been in very many close games this year which may have hurt them down the stretch

Halfway through the fourth quarter and York has scored 9 points in the second half. Five point game at the half. Frustrating!!!!

York is about two good bench players away from competing with Upperman.

I agree. Who would have thought 2 weeks ago that DC would beat MC and take CC to the wire in the tournament? And if Jones hadn't rolled his ankle, who knows what would happened. And  Antoniac, Jenkins, Young and Ramos returning next year ,

Two good games last night. DC took advantage of a weakness in CC's zone by continuously getting the ball to the high post. That pass was there all night, CC didn't defend it at all. Smith played a heck of a game and deserved to win but missed free throws plagued them at the end

The key against CC is guard play. CC is longer and as quick or quicker than DC at guard. Makes it harder to shoot or work the ball inside.

Ramos had the best game he's had all year shooting and playing defense. The bigs worked hard last night, but I think defense won that one. Not as many turnovers and causing turnovers. To me, Antoniac and Jenkins makes a huge difference when on the floor, especially on defense. The last 2-3 game either 1 or both were out ( injuries/sick ?)

DC will struggle against the length of the Cannon guards. Davenport can shoot and Bush can get to the rim as well as anyone. Jones and Cook will have to play well and stay out of foul trouble if DC is going to win

Last night was some good games. Seen Dekalb send Macon home. Dekalb got up big but Macon made a push at the end but just could not do enough. I believe that Macon has not made it out of the district the last two years. Good win for Dekalb and now they move on to play Cannon on Thursday. Also seen Smith Co get up on Livingston by 20+ at one point. Livingston tried to make a comeback but not enough to get the job done. Smith play good and opened some eyes last night. They move on to play Watertown on Thursday.  Thursday nights action will have Dekalb vs Cannon and Smith vs Watertown, thoughts??

I wasn't at the game, how did Dekalb win so convincingly? I feel like most of us had written off Dekalb

No doubt    Um I heard someone got spanked never count your chickens before they hatch  Smith Co was up

I still disagree with Iceman. CC, Watertown and LA all have pretty good teams. It's just that York and especially Upperman have exceptionally good teams this season. Now if you say Smith and Dekalb are weak, then I will agree.

Besides Upperman and York, the district is relatively weak. Cannon, Watertown and LA have some of the weakest teams they have ever had. Not worth arguing.  DeKalb should be better than they are, that's 100% true. Have underachieved tremendously.  6 wins are you kidding me. At least 12 wins would have been sufficient.  Maybe Sanders and Fish should figure out the scheduling part a little better. Can't figure out why the 2 Bigs don't play more together. Just my 2 cents. No doubt we spank Smith Co tomorrow night. Good luck Tigers and roll on.

If CC, Watertown and LA are weak, then Dekalb must be downright awful.

  10. I think the clock keeper might've been a little too excited about the game and was a little late or early starting and stopping the clock a couple of times. But the officials did a good job and seemed to be on top of it and it was adjusted. I don't think the clock situation gave either side an advantage or disadvantage at least not that I noticed

Who is the new Coach? What are your thoughts.  What happened to the older guy

Previous coach was let go, he was horrible. New coach is Jason Knowles, former assistant at Watertown. This is his first head coaching gig, so I think it will take some time for him to be successful. Unfortunately, this group of seniors are with their third coach in 4 years

  12. Cannon lost to a good Clay Co team last night. The game was close throughout until about 5:00 to go in the 4th. Cannon just couldn't seem to hit shots after that point. We had to foul at the end and Clay hit most of their free throws so the game was closer than the 70-57 score. Also, I think Cannon is still trying to adjust to the new coach. Going to take some time
