Oakland got swept by Goodpasture in both scrimmages and they were without 2 starters.

Oakland threw 4 pitchers that wouldn't thorw in regular season. And without 2 starters also

I would pick oakland over Bradley central in substate, Gipson vs coopland will be a good match up , I like Oaklands guards better

After 1st 7 oakland 13 brentwood 5. 20-11 after 14. Total oakland had 2 Homeruns, 4 triples and 9 doubles. The 2 homeruns , 1 triple and 3 doubles were in the first 7 innings! Oakland looks like a tough team

Well its only a few weeks away. The State Tournament in Murfreesboro. This year's tournament should be exciting again. There are several outstanding teams in the state this year. Blackman is currently rated #1 in the State and the Nation. However, District 7-AAA is probably the strongiest disrict in the state by far. Blackman, Riverdale, Oakland, and Smyrna. Enough said. Science Hill must have a very good team. They are undefeated and East Tennessee especically around Knoxville is balanced with several oustanding teams.

 

Here goes. My picks for the State Tournament field.

Ridgeway

Blackman and Riverdale are in the same region with Columbia and they could knock one of them out

Memphis basketball is down this year.

 

Blackman should be the favorite but their Region is loaded and anything could happen.

Blackman riverdale and Columbia all in same side of region bracket....

Blackma, riverdale, and Columbia. 2 of these 3 will not be making it past region. Now that's really weird to here.

Does anyone know what region we would play in the sub state game? Or what are the two favorites?

Oakland just scheduled a game against magnolia heights from Mississippi. They went 38-0 and lost 1 senior. This will be sometime between March 13-15! Don't know the exact date. They also play 2 state champions from Alabama on spring break. But the team from Mississippi will be a really fun game to watch!

Anyone know what the tournament is looking like if oakland beats riverdale tomorrow?

Any class, any area! What districts look to be absolute must watches as they unfold. I would say AAA in murfreesboro with Siegel and Blackman, possibly LaVergne. AAA wilson county with Gallatin, Wilson Central and Lebanon. A would have to be Humboldt, Union City, and S. Fulton. As well as 16A in Memphis with Mitchell and BTW. Any others?

Watch out for oakland 7aaa, they are startin to play well. Lost to siegel 45-42, loss to blackman by 1. And Lavergne by 6. They matchup well against these teams and could pull off an upset. They have a 6'8 post player and a 6'5 post that other teams can't gaurd

The knights baseball program is one of the top 2 travel teams in Tn along with the Dullin Dodgers! These 2 teams can compete with anyone in the nation and took over TN

Gonna be a great game between long time rivals! Both teams have great athletes. The post player (DJ) you are referring to has only played in 5 games of the 18 games played for Riverdale so far this season, so Riverdale will adjust. She is a great athlete tho and definitely brings something to the table under the boards! It would be aweome to get her back at some time this season.

Oakland riverdale Saturday? Who ya got? Remember oakland got in middletons head last year and I think she started off the game 0-12! And with One of riverdales post players getting hurt, do you think oakland coul pull off the upset? When oakland played blackman it was at one point a 4 point game late in the second half.
