  1. Wv does not stand a chance as long as they continue to use a scared qb they can't pass. QB has been to blame for at least a td in every game for the other team. Now Coady is using a running back at qb sometimes to turn the corner. I guess someone has a good word in with Coady to continue to use this kid. He may be good in practice with a red jersey on but he stinks up the field. Hear the fans speak use someone else. I saw Coady pull players out when they messed up at ripley and put someone else in way not the qb. Milan out scores westview by 3 tds and our qb spots Milan another td.

13thman, I dislike your public display of affection for our QB and Coach, they are doing the best they can for what it is and like always this is High School Football not College and you play with what you are given, these kids have alot of heart to play a game that everyone thinks they can play and coach better than what is out on the field! I for one sit in the stands and wish we had the best of everything, but that is not they way that it works. I expect everyone on here to put up posts as if their child was on the field playing in the position that you post your replies about. I do not have a player that is my son on the field but I have in other sports, they give all they have and the last thing they want is negative remarks from someone on CoachT. This ball game between Milan and WestView will be a great one regardless of the score because the players and coaches on the field will give all they have to possibly win the game. Post what you want but don't name players or positions and make remarks that you would not to their face. I still say WESTVIEW by 1 over Milan!

    GO WESTVIEW!!!!!!!!!!

  2. We were picked to lose to Camden & McKenzie and won, nothing the matter against being the underdog against the puppies south of Martin. I am sure that this is the game Milan has been waiting for since last year. Westview has a new look since the first of the season and I am sure they will play ball just the same as Milan will against a worthy opponent. I feel this will be the first real test of how Milan will play against a tough district foe. Look at the strength of schedule that both teams have played, stats don't lie. This is High School football and it all plays out on the field. My pick is Westview by a fieldgoal just like last year!

  4. Westview has been slow out of the box this year. The infield has changed with the absence of Sam Geisler (Union) and the freshman are learning the ropes in their new positions. Hitting has been slow to come around and when it does watch out because they have the batters to get it done. The pitching is solid in Senior Shanna Chappell and Junior Shaylon Robb. They will get it done when their time on the mound is up. Defense is nothing but lights out at 2nd with Jenna Hazelwood in that spot. The girls are playing different locations every game or 2 getting time on the field. Yea they lost one up there in South Fulton, gonna happen when we play with them and against them for years. Give the team credit they have had their ups and downs early but the feet are getting closer together and they are putting wins on the board. I never say who is going to be first or second just put them out there and let them play and we will see who comes out in front.

    GO WESTVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. The admission price for this is ridiculous! On top of the $26,600 charged to play (56 teams x $475), it's $8 per person per day IF you buy a pass ($9 if you don't), then $7 on Sunday. That's $31 for a 4-day tournament that's supposed to have invited 40 college coaches...per person. So, if math serves me correctly, that'll be $62 total for a mom and dad in an economy that's already killin' people. Watching their daughter's play a couple of competitive softball games is a little respite from the chaos and shouldn't be such a monetary sacrifice...in my opinion.

    KenCrookStationCampHighSchool,

You are one greedy dude! I hope you ask for forgiveness on this one.

Don't forget that it cost about $475.00 a team to get into this Tournament.

  7. Taking nothing away from Amanda and Shaylon, but the whole team from the bench to the coaches played ball like it was the last game of the season! There were no errors to speak of and the defense was so tight that no ball got past a defender all night. The teams that the Nighthawks played gave all they had and still came up on the losing end. The girls on the infield for the Nighthawks worked hard for the pitcher and it showed on the scoreboard. The outfield chased balls till it went in the glove and still had room to run!! I have seen many a game and this night of games goes down as the best fastpitch softball I have seen played as of yet. I am hoping that this is just the beginning for these girls because they deserve all the credit!! They played like true champions and strived to win at all costs.

    GO NIGHTHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. At Drakes Creek Qualifier: (one berth to winner)

In 10U, I know Frost Falcons 98 were in Finals but had to win twice but do not know how it ended and who received berth. (Only 4 teams)

In 12U, TN Illusions were playing Warriors in finals

In 14U, Chattanooga Force won berth. Would have to say favorites for remaining berths in TN are Fury 94, Nashville Cruisers, Fury 95 and Lady Aces of Knoxville plus Mustangs of N GA area. Also, White Lightning gave some teams a run for the money.

In 16U, Three teams left playing and not sure of results were Team Worth (In drivers seat) Thunderbolts were playing the Nighthawks for spot in Finals.

In 18U, Attack won tournament. Not sure of favorites in TN

Who is coming to Chattanooga for another berth this weekend

NIGHTHAWKS won the 16U division with 2 wins over Team Worth in the finals.

  9. Be sure and let us know when, what time, and where Westview will play their next game? We are all pulling for you. Good Luck

Westview will play Carver, Friday @ 2:00pm @ Toby Field, Memphis Tn.

  10. My bets are with the girls from Weakley Co. They had the chance to win it 2-3 times, but the ball would not fall in the right place. The wind was at least 25-30 mph left to right across the field and coming in right at the batter. Made it tough for both teams. They will come back with a vengance that will carry us to State. When they walk out on the field they are not there to play, but to compete to the highest level. The game left you out of breath and wanting more!!!!!!!!!!!!

    GO WESTVIEW!!!!!!!!!!

  11. Crockett County did. So now Crockett County and Martin Westview will play Wednesday @8:00

Did you happen to get the score of the Crockett Co. game????

  12. MARTIN WESTVIEW 11

    GIBSON CO. 6

WV took advantage of the ball and had 8 - 0 lead when the defense fell apart in the 5th to allow 3 runs to score. The field Umpire was blind on 2 plays at first, totally out of position and didn't work to get there either. Gibson Co. added 3 in the 7th trying to make a run at WV but it was not meant to be. Great work with the bats WESTVIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WE ARE WESTVIEW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
