I thought after all that smack H20town would give us more of a game. Guess Gatorade is better than water!

Great game.Tip your hat to Stone.

coach admitted after game they got outcoached...
Lol that don't make things better

How about win a game you are not supposed to win with this coach? I'm 100% positive this coach has never upset anyone in season or in the playoffs while at Upperman. Hard for a team to make a pass to the championship without doing that. Can't just beat up on cupcakes year end and year out and expect the same respect.
Too much talent on the roster returning to not make some noise and make a deep run in the playoffs. LOL might need to run something other than power and counter to accomplish that! -

Yes it could be. I am reading that Trousdale will be down this year but Watertown, Cookeville, and Fayetville (Very good returning RB) could be tough outs. I watched Caine coach when he was in Dunlap. The guy will put together a good squad. Bet Dunlap wishes he would come back
You must have had knee pads on when you made this post. Dude's a decent coach, not great. Should be much better as much time as he puts in to watching film and eating pizza that the parent bought. Never seen a great coach have to run at kids with a balled fist to make them do what he needs them to. Upperman will have a good season this year, but it will be because of good athletes, not because who the coach is. Take it from someone who knows.

Ha I wondering about this. This should considered more as a forfeit. Doubt if Watt will be at Squatch next year. His choosing not the schools.
-
My prediction is that Region 4-3A will not win a playoff game after what I saw from Upperman tonight.

MC will come out deflated after losing a big game last week.
They also don’t play well on long trips. They stopped at Tech for a walkthrough en route to the game. They definitely got too excited for that. Add a meal from Chic fil A and these boys won’t be worth a plug nickel.
SM takes this game 33-27.
Guess your prediction was wrong, but you are right about that bus trip, it is sneaky long.

DC threw the ball every play and LA had no chance. DC kept there running back in Check pretty much the whole game. I said LA shouldn't throw the ball it would be Stupid they had 5 interceptions. If DC would throw the ball every play like they did tonight they'd might have 1 loss. Watertown didn't stop DCs pass at all. DC got up by 15 and in the 2nd half ran the ball the whole time. If they'd kept throwing in that game and kept throwing against Upperman a team LA killed DC might have 1 loss to Warren. They started throwing every play tonight and LA was down 38 to 0. Yes H20 got the win but every who was at the game knows and has the same question. Why did we stop throwing at halftime when H20 could'nt stop it. We dont live by if though they lost to a decent H20 team and a terrible terrible Upperman team. Then destroy LA who killed Upperman. Football is crazy for sure
Dekalb County football is the most inconsistent that is for sure. Great win though, looks like they are getting things figured out for another playoff run possibly.

Respect to York, this game shouldn't have been close at all just looking at past games this season. Looks like Upperman was too worried about York playing dirty than actually showing up to play themselves.
-
was known for being a tough, hard hitting team
Most physical team usually wins the game!

Those predicting a blow have lost their mind.
UHS has a great offense and a decent defense to go along with it.
SMHS has a great offense and a bad defense.
I am not so sure on the special teams. Looking at unapproved website stats SMHS has a good punter and a pretty decent FG kicker. No clue on UHS special teams, there are no stats.
I am going to go out on a limb and say that Gomez for UHS makes a critical stop late in the 4th quarter and SMHS kicks a FG to win 38-35.
Turnover and what could be a wet field from the rain moving in the next two days could have an impact on the game.
How is SMHS field?
Rain would definitely be in SMHS favor. UHS will need to sling it around some this game and a wet ball will not help matters. UHS has a good punter and good kicker. The blocking on FGs is not very good at times though.

Last real chance at a win in 2015 for the boys from Woodbury.Just a bad situation. Anyone give them a shot.
No chance. RBS all the way in this one.
-
Sequatchie County...they seem to be the most compete team.
-
Should have been more. Still lots of room for improvement and much potential.was supprised the U won by 20 on the creekbank
-
Sounds like Dekalb/York game was the one to watch. Sequatchie Co makes themselves a competitor with tonight's win. Upperman has to find some balance on offense in order to be successful. Very hard to throw the ball every down and be successful which seems like what they want to do.
-
Stone can certainly pound the rock. Coach Herron will have to get out of his passing mentality and run the football when he can in order to control the clock and hang with these guys
-
New head coach Barker doing good things in Trousdale, but Upperman will be too much for them. They will not be able to cover Guffey or any of the other WRs the entire game. However, if penalties plague us again it could go either way.
-
White County only beat Monterey 14-7 so I'm not so sure White County is on the same level as Stone Memorial. What else does Stone have other than this stud RB? Can Dekalb put 9 in the box and have Jennings win it for them on offense?
-
Always thought the name was stupid anyways. AlcoaBASKETBALL? Who knows of Alcoa because of basketball...and why would you come to these forums to talk about football when basketball is in your name?

20 was enough. SC score all 20 in the 2nd half. They had another chance but threw a pick deep in MC territory late. SC shot themselves in the foot in the first half with mistakes and penalties. They cleaned that up in the 2nd half. Carlilse is a very good player. He is the real deal for a soph.
I will agree with that Carlilse is good. That is to be expected first game of the season. Sounds like King should have a big season too if SC's run game is good enough to keep defenses honest.
-
LA got pounded by CAK also.
37-7. Not so sure CAK wouldn't pound Cookeville too. I wasn't at that game.
-
SC 20 -MC 14. Good win for SC we did not play well at all first half. King may be best player in district. I am not sure we score without him. Congrats to Owls.
Good win but only 20 points? Macon's D has been notoriously atrocious the past couple seasons. Other than Grundy and Cannon, could be the worst D you see all season.
-
That's funny...
Obviously you were not at the game. Cookeville is nowhere near as deep as a 6a team should be. Much of the D-line and secondary go both ways. I will say this though. Cookeville had no identity first half. They were swapping quarterbacks and trying out different things on offense. Second half they fed Vic Johnson over and over which they will do from here on out.
Upperman @ Watertown
in Class 1A & Class 2A
