  1.

Pretty much. I'd rather not comment on the injury.[/quote

Rumor is Evans is indeed playing and just started this to throw the ole Tiggers off. He looked fine on his twitter video doing nasty stuff to a stuffed Tiger. Real classy, you ever thought recruiters look at stuff like that?#!? Once a Westie always a Westie!

  2. Word is that Harper tore up his MCL . Film shows he was horse collared , something not called in high school football . He's more than likely out six to eight weeks , plus two or three other starters may be out . This will build depth if nothing else.

Watched this many times and never saw any horse collar. I saw #15 tackle him grabbing him at his knees when he went out of game.

  3. Yesterday at UHS, and yes 7-7. Wasnt impresed with any of the four but could see the future with Sparta and UHS.

You must have watched a different UHS team than I did yesterday because the one I watched was very weak. Sparta dominated in every aspect of the game . It was very entertaining watching the UHS coaches try to contain the egos of their players. Also its pretty hard to judge the teams when Jackson and Macon rotated their quarterbacks and running backs. Wasn't the UHS and Macon game a tie???

  4. TSSAA Repeating Rule states:" A student who repeats 7th or 8th grade and participates in school athletics while repeating shall be ineligible to participate in athletics in the 9th grade."

The Age Limit Rule states:"No student shall be eligible to participate in any athletic contest during any school year if he/she becomes 19 years of age on or before August 1."

(Age Limit might catch some who are held back once or twice)

Then if this is the case how did they get passed this rule considering someone has already said he played as a freshman?

  5. The oldest one was held back for two years in middle school and then got to play all four years in hs. If other players had that much time to develop then they would overshadow him. He's really not that great.

How old is he then? Never heard of being held back two years. He seems like the most level headed of the three. The freshman is a very dirty player with a very bad attitude. He plays alot on jv but shows very little talent. Absolutely hate how he talks back to his father/coach in the game, but as they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree........

  6. Maybe you sure take off those rose colored glasses and watch the game with the real world! Officiating has been worse than usual this season but mostly bad for everyone. You and I must have been watching different games if you think the officiating blatantly favored Cannon co.

My point exactly! It was easy to tell who was getting favoritism, and that was definately not Cannon Co.

  7. Stupidest thing I've seen all week right here. Upperman has been on the bad side of officiating all season. All the officials don't like bobby and it always hurts his team.

Mr. McWilliams knows how far he can push certain Refs, especially the home town ones. I would also bet Cannon Co. would object to your comment cause they couldn't catch a break the other night!

  8. I will take Livingston by 6. Livingston had a bad game against Macon Saturday night and will return motivated and ready to play! Wonder if Upperman will manage to get their own "home town" refs again???? Coincidence, I think not.......

  9. This is the reason you don't have the home student section directly behind the visitors bench. Are you LISTENING Wilson Central? Having immature young kids behind the visitors team bench is just asking for trouble. I guess finally someone in the student said something that got the situation started. If Pickett County is smart they will move the student section to another area or move the visitors team bench to a safer location.

Wilson central has the same set up with the visitors team bench in front of the students chering section. Over the years I've seen some close calls with students getting out of control and sercurity called in to control the crowd. Wouldn't it be simple to move the student section OR swap the team benchs. I believe in the students having fun but today some kids are just looking for something else than clean fun.

Bottom line the kids are being punished for something that was out of their control. Hope TSSAA changes their ruling on suspending the teams from playing in the upcoming tournaments.

My advice to Pickett County ..... Move the cheering section or the visitors team bench.

You may want to give this some serious consideration also WILSON CENTRAL.

Attention needs to be called to the Upperman student section!!! Why are they on the visitors side of the gym???? There is plenty of room on their home side. The children were screaming profanity laced chants, and allowed to run along our sideline with an oversized flag that continually obstructed our view throughout the game. I'm sure the Upperman croud would have had a fit if that flag was being flown on their side! When authority figures allow this type of behavior it all falls back on what kind of people are running the system. So to make a long story short Upperman is a mirror image of the McWilliams', and its a very unclassy sight.
