Last time TN High beat the Toppers was in 2010 on a last minute touchdown. Science Hill threw a long bomb which went out of bounds as time expired. Will the same happen again?
To all you toppers, we beat you at your new field. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssssssss throwing that out there. 2nd most memorable game of my career.

TN: 42

Should be a slaughter. Not a complete blowout. The score won't be as high as it shows on paper or the field.
TN High: 56
Sullivan Central: 10

It's one of my favorite games. The history of the 2 schools. The passion of the 2 schools. One city. Two states. When one tragedy happens at one HS, the other HS is there for them. They support each other off the field when it's needed.
We're off the field. I never lost to VA High. I witnessed one loss to them in 2011. Shouldn't have happened. Bad coaching on TN High part.
Going to be a good game.
TN High 39
VA High 23

It will be 28-0 DB with 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Sevier County wins 35-28 in OT.
Wait.... That already happened O__o

So many coaches have gone way back in time. Many coaches in the present will go down as some of the best. Who is the best? Who are the best? Why are they the best?
What makes a coach legendary? Wins? Sending kids to college to play ball or just school? Could it be changing kids lives?

Welcome aboard Jonesy! THS can use a few good men to stand up for the maroon and white. My youngest son graduated in 09' and played the 08' season so I remember both seasons you referenced well. I endearingly refer to the 09' season as the Boone Buster season.
If you don't mind my asking who is your youngest son? All I can think of if Pickard. He, according to my knowledge, was the only was with an older brother, aside from Crump.
Hmmmmmmm..?

SS 21 THS 7
How are you going to make a prediction on a game that happened a few days ago? It doesn't work that way sweetheart

I heard that quote my SR year in '10 when we played SH. Catchy song but very stupid. Note we also beat them that game so they lost all the hype
No you cannot top us, the science hill toppers!
-
It's always exciting to beat South. We did in 09. Should have in '10 but we blew a 21-0 1Q lead. I'll never be able to live that down. I played that game for my SR night.
TN High, if focused, will go 7-3
L's DB, SH, Betsy

Coach Mike Mays knows Sullivan South. It will be tough. South QB is good. Home field advantage. New turf. Adrenaline rush from THS.

"Kinda fishy"
Yes. Kinda fishy. I know you two are close and that's your business. I have an opinion. I had a question.
-
Is there someone specific you are referring to Jones?
TN High Coach Tim Marshall. No disrespect towards the guy. Just wondering.
-
Now correct me if I am wrong but isn't it a TSSAA rule that in order to be a Head Coach of any sporting team at any level (Middle School, High School) the HC MUST be within the school system in some way.
Am I right or am I wrong? A HS Wrestling coach took an HC job and is not in the school system. Kinda fishy.

Db helped the toppers open the stadium with a 47-14 defeat in 2011-2012 season.
TN High did the same. 31-28 for Science hills opener in 2010

Are you going to see the Byrnes Rebels (catchy name) in Duncan, SC or Burns Bulldogs in Lawndale, NC? Maryville got a pretty fair offensive lineman from Burns, NC a few years ago.
My former HS coach when I lived in NC before coming to TN left my old school to coach at Burns. Matt Beam was/is one heckuva coach. Should have a NC State Title in his hands soon

Question guys? Who has the WORST fan base? I've got my popcorn in hand waiting for a response
-
By the way. Tennessee High's Maroon and White game is scheduled for 7:00pm tonight in the Stone Castle
-
Yeah we have a few too i'm sure. No doubt about that. Them guys were off the wall though. It was definitely entertaining. Hey, you know DB has the most basketball wins in US history, right? We probably have the most tradition in baseball, too did you know that? Our band is the greatest band to ever grace a trumpet and trombone lol By the way we have the most tennis titles in world history (kidding on that one)
If we're throwing out statistics. 1972. National Champions. Tennessee High School. Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuussssss sayin sweetheart

No and all that was mostly with the big dogs 6A. But I dont see much diffrance in 6A and 5A
Speaking of 5A and 6A....I heard the TSSAA will be going back to just FIVE classifications. Is this true?

Fans are the momentuim every team needs when they need it the most ! No matter win or loose we the fans at DB dont give up (we might call for some coaches head) , but again we still pack the house !!! With a bigger and newer staduim this year we will bring in alot more fans !!! Simply what im saying is i wish all the teams out there had as much fans as we do each and every game .. it makes it fun , and simply gives the players an expeirence!!! FANS TO EVERY HIGH SCHOOL IN THE STATE COME THIS YEAR AND SUPPORT THE PLAYERS OF EACH AND EVERY TEAM AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS AND AN INJURY FREE YEAR... 3 MONTHS AND COUNTING
I agree 100%. I personally loved playing at DB. The atmosphere amazes me. I can't stand DB but the atmosphere amazes me! When fans go to games, it truly does give players a great experience. The ONLY game my SR year where our fans (TN High) didn't attend was when we went to Knox for the playoffs.

Touche' my friend. Touche'
-
I'd like to get people from ALL over the state's opinions on this too. I'm sure some good teams and better fans
-
I went to the Bearden-DB game in 2010 when Devrin Young scored a game winning TD in OT. Bearden fans had packed the house. In NorthEast TN (Region 1) DB has the strongest and most loyal fan base. Home. Away. Playing the #1 team in state or they are playin Sullivan Central...DB fans are always there

What are you smoking man? I'm TN High through thick and thin but as they say on NFL Fox "Come on MAN!"
