Couple points worth mentioning. "Two players are facing criminal prosecution"  and  "several student's recorded the incident"   1) There is likely enough evidence via affidavit's by witnesses or Video recording  to criminally prosecute otherwise it would just be an ongoing investigation.  If there is a group of players standing around taping this kind of incident there is a culture issue.

I noted last year that Hendersonville used the men's bathroom at Blackman as a makeshift locker room  which was not an issue but post scrimmage the restroom was completely destroyed. Many of the parents were upset because they clean the restrooms and it was not like that before the game.  I reached out to the HC in a non-accusatory manner and told him about the situation. I said it would be worth a reminder to always show respect for the field and facilities because you represent a school and perception could be misconstrued as reality." I was told our restroom was disgusting and then dismissed. ... Again culture.

Everything will work itself out in court. But.. There is a reason the players were allowed to come back to school immediately after the original investigation was completed.

And… Your restrooms were the most disgusting I have ever seen. PRIOR to the team arriving. There are dozens of parents that can attest to this.

All you had to do was take a look around the stadium at the foot high grass and overflowing trash cans to know that the previous staff didn’t put much stock into facilities maintenance.

Hendersonville has NEVER had issues with respecting other facilities. Yet here we are, the blame is getting passed without truly having any firm evidence.

  2. Hendersonville High School

Best player is Dewayne Dotson- All state Linebacker and Running Back that Graduated in 1989 and played at the University of Tennessee for 2 years then transferred to Ole Miss for 3 seasons. Was selected to All SEC team and was a Butkus Award semifinalist. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and later played for the Miami Dolphins.

    most won’t know-

James Wilhoit- All American kicker that graduated in 2002. 4 year starter at the University of Tennessee.  Known for the 50 yard game winner against Florida in 2004. Had a short stint with the Baltimore Ravens and is now the kicking coach for the Tennessee Titans.

Youre arguing with yourself , They seem to be living in your head to be quite honest, this is One of YOUR many references to this subject. I really wish we had scheduled Hville next year because they aren’t fixing that mess within a year

Historically, you would be wrong here. Since I moved to Hendersonville in 1998.

    2000 went 5-5 missed playoffs ——2001 went 13-2 5a state runner up

2007 went 4-6 missed playoffs—— 2008 went 10-2 region championship

    2012 went 4-6 missed playoffs—— 2013 went 11-4 6a state runner up

The only year in recent history where it wasn’t a major bounce back was from 2005 to 2006

2005 went 3-7 (2nd worse record in school history) —— 2006 went 6-6 BUT did have a 1st round victory over a top ranked Franklin Rebels team.

  4. I think this is a close game late into the 3rd and then Oakland pulls away.

    Game Predictions

-One of oaklands TDs comes from special teams or defensively
    -Cade Hewitt wins Offensive MVP
    -Eric Taylor wins Defensive MVP
    -Oakland has 150 yards passing

    -Beech wins time of possession
    -Darius Johnson rushes for 120
-JP Courtney scores 1 TD and 1 interception

    Oakland 38

    Beech 23

Disagree.  Take the time to get it right.  Got to have an opening in the building to get them on the actual campus.  I think the players will make an evaluation after the announcement not before.  Then they still have to move in another schools zone.  Not really worried about that at this point.

I agree it needs to be the right choice. That definitely is priority. I just envision some private schools making contact selling greener pastures.

  6. It’s kind of the perfect storm for Beech. They’ve got a talented and veteran team in a year where there are no great teams on the west side of the bracket.

No real threat out of Williamson County. No Parsons at Ravenwood, No Wade Twins at Summit, an inexperienced Brentwood team. Hendersonville was way down this year.

To top it off, Maryville and Oakland are still very good but far from their usual juggernaut selves. This is the year you want to take a shot at them.

IMO, Beech has a REAL shot to win it all.

-Hate the thought of it smh

  7.  Hendersonville had their chances in this one.. Had multiple drives deep into Ravenwood territory only to stall out or have Scores called back because of penalties. Thought the Defense played well for most of the evening outside of a few plays.

This team seems to be growing up and improving. They will be a tough out if they can clean up the penalties.

  8. I’m sure South Warren is wanting some revenge on the commandos from last season.
Hendersonville went up to Bowling Green and beat them in a fantastic ball game. South Warren went on to have a 14-1 season which included a state championship. The commandos made it to the semifinals in TN.

Both teams lost ALOT from last season. Hendersonville is breaking in (I heard 17 or 18 new starters) and South Warren lost most of their production with the exception of TN commit, Christian Conyer.

I believe that the coaches will have this team playing good football later in the season but they are fighting a ton of inexperience right now. Doesn’t bode well with the front half of the schedule.

Hendersonville will have to clean up the turnovers and sure up missed tackle issues if they want to have a chance.

Farragut wins close. FHS lost QB1 and their deep threat that kept them in games. This years QB1 has experience but wont have the luxury of an experience line or the deep threat. Best player for FHS is Jack Alley playing LB. Overall all a pretty small team that will need held to make it to the playoffs.

If they’re going to need help to make the playoffs.. they won’t be beating beech

WOW!! Not one player from Sumner County selected in any of these classifications! Hendersonville coming off of a 6a semifinals appearance has had 3 or 4 players selected in every other publication. Beech has had 2 both are D1 players (WR/TE) for sure selected in the others.

Congratulations to the players selected here I’m sure they are very deserving but it’s hard for me to take this one seriously…

If they would make a rule to stop (name of private school here) from sending a bus everyday to Rutherford County to poach some of the best athletes, some of the schools in Rutherford besides Oakland would be incredible as well.

And Central Magnet needs to add football so the kids interested in high academics can get both in one place.

That’s sumner county as well. I know of at least 6 players that should be at Hendersonville high school right now but are at private schools instead. All of which are highly touted players. Same thing with Beech, Station Camp, and Gallatin.
