  1. Hopefully CHS doesn't have a half or ever quarter like they did verses UHS. What is scary, UH did score in the second half and had it inside the 10 two more times in the second half but came up short. So even the effort in the second half on D was not up to par for the region CHS is in. No excuses, CHS has way to much talent for what happened Friday. If UH scores when inside the 10 twice, doesn't get greedy before the half and runs out the clock, or #5 dosent get hurt...they win. CHS needs to do some sole searching this week and come out Friday and play a full 4 quarters. And by the way, my team is Riverdale....they will be waiting down the road. CHS has time to fix this...but it better happen soon.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas.

Just happy to be 1-0. I'm looking forward to the meeting with Livingston. Hope to see you there UpperCumberlandMan.

Also, it is 'soul' not 'sole' unless you are looking at a shoe.

  2. Ok Professor Knowitall, it's one down year for 9-AAA and after this year the division will break off and go it's seperate ways. When did I ever specify 9-AAA was better than Rutherford County? If you're so fact based you shouldn't just be assuming things so quickly, instead maybe ask what I meant first? What I meant was a few teams in 9-AAA and most Rutherford teams could mercy rule Cookeville. I'm confident enough to say that is a Fact! (I don't care about the exact definition of a fact, I know it, you know it.... This isn't a educational thread)

Ok, Mr. Perry. You didn't specify 9-AAA. You simply claimed "real Middle Tennessee high school football" as if Mt Juliet/9-AAA in the same league as Rutherford County when all facts point otherwise. Get my point? :thumb:

It's also comical that you claim a few teams in 9-AAA could mercy rule Cookeville (which is an opinion by definition BTW), but few teams in that district have a .500 record. Strong argument there. I can't wait to see the dominance of 9-AAA in the playoffs. :roflolk:

We can agree that it will all work itself out in the next few weeks.

  3. Wow talk about a narcissistic post.... I cant even reply to someone who accuses me of being wrong, and thinks so highly of what they have to say. Also Cookeville has played a weak schedule FACT,,,,, Cookeville lost to a par Lavergne team quite handily FACT We can play this game however long you want. Eventually you will get the point.

I'll get the point?  Seems as though you are the one learning in this thread. I'm just glad that you can now differentiate between fact and opinion. As to those facts you presented, I have not once avoided those in this thread.

My argument with you is that you try to boast like 9-AAA is on par with Rutherford county by saying "welcome to real Middle Tennessee football" in a thread that has nothing to do with Mount Juliet or 9-AAA. When you look at the scores from this season, that statement is most definitely false.

As I said before, maybe one of those 9-AAA teams could travel to Cookeville in the playoffs. That'd be interesting. :popcorneater:

  4. A down 9-AAA could still have our top 4 teams beat Cookeville. You're avoiding the facts.... Cookeville plays weak opposition and thus pays for it when they actually play anyone with talent....

You Wilson County folks sure do struggle with the difference between opinion and fact. Saying that the top 4 in 9-AAA could beat Cookeville is opinion. I'm not avoiding facts because there is nothing to support that. Saying that 9-AAA is not as good as the Rutherford County district is fact. Why? Because Hendersonville, Wilson Central, and Beech all have lost to those in that district. That's fact. Pretty simple concept. :P

Hopefully, it can work out where Cookeville can host one of those powerhouse 9-AAA teams in the playoffs. That would be fun.

  5. You wanting to act like 1 year being down makes the district never as good as 7AAA, then I can do the same thing and look back at the last 5 years and let's see who has had more success:

    9AAA

    State Championship appearances: 4

    Won:2

    Semi Finalist:4

Quarter Finalist: too many to remember.

    7AAA:

    State Championship appearances: 1

    Won: 0

    Semi Finalist:4

Quarter finalist: probably as many as 9AAA.

Yes 7AAA is good and everybody knows that. But don't act like 9AAA is just not in the same ballpark during most years...those top two stats say it all.

Most of those championship appearances and stats are from 5-A schools, and Hendersonville got blown out in the 6-A State Championship. Everyone knows that Hendersonville couldn't have beaten Oakland or Blackman last year. Those are meaningless. The 3rd place team in your district right now has a 4-5 record. Again, It's Rutherford County then the rest of Middle Tennessee.

Johnny, I'd be worried about Cannon County instead of Cookeville if I were you. Cannon County did something this year that you obviously couldn't. That is beat Smith County. :thumb:

  6. The problem is people don't understand the word bias..... They lack realism and can't deal with the truth. Lavergne is no doubt the better team. Welcome to real Middle TN football cookeville fans.

I believe you mean "Welcome to real Rutherford County football". Let's not act like District 9-AAA is in the same ball park as Rutherford county. Your district's talent level is down this year, and you haven't beaten them either.

Thanks for the kind words, UpperCumberlandMan. We know what WCP's agenda is. It'd be interesting to hear why you hate Cookeville as well. :popcorneater:

  7. Yea, I wish we had the opportunities to play white co, Cumberland co, smith co, so on, we'd have 7 wins also.

somebody is going to try and jump ship, because that's the district Cookeville will play in next year. And lhs was the last place team. Justice after all.

That's funny because your team has 4 wins against teams with 7 combined wins. I guess that's what you call stength of schedule. You also wouldn't have won 7 games with Cookeville's schedule because you have already proved that you couldn't beat Cleveland. Somebody struggling with their math.

Justice after all? :roflol: Yeah, I'm sure all of those guys truly regret leaving your wonderful program.

As I said before, good luck against Gallatin! It will sure help Cookeville's draw in the playoffs.

  8. I told you so. still looking for ring sizes?

That's funny. Wilson Central and Cookeville had 3 common opponents this season in Lavergne, Cleveland, and Lebanon. One school went 2-1 against those and the other went 1-2.

Good luck against Gallatin! A win would help Cookeville's draw in the playoffs. ;)
