  1. 41-27 as opposed to 54-14, just a little different score. Walt's team looks great this season. How's his work ethic? Speed school? Strength training program? Game planning? Will he be grading the film here in a few hours? Did he have any clue on how to stop the Wing T tonight? Unfortunately didn't get to see the game but I don't think Lawrence county had scored all season.

  2. Playthegame150 I would bet paychecks that I know more bout the situation than you and are far from clueless. But if you think I am clueless why don't you clue me in since you know so much?? Waiting??

Mrs. Smith!!! I'm sorry. I can definitely see where you think Walt teaches the kids about more than just football. It's evident he doesn't teach any football. And the trip to the blue cross bowl would have been different without Walt cause the OC clan may have helped the boys to compete, possibly WIN ðŸ˜

  3. 1610 I will tell you straight up I know the man as personally as anyone. Know his family, know how he is with his kids and know how he treats and coaches his players and you are flat wrong. Will argue that any day of the week. As I said not hard to find. For the last 3 years he has done nothing but what is best for the kids at Giles Co. And taught them more than just football. If the community doesn't see it then he needs to move on and they need a coach like they had, one that would cheat his own mama to try and win. I mean in reality if you know the situation then you know as I do if Walt doesn't become HC at Giles there is a good chance that they don't play in the finals in 2013. Word was that if the coaching change didn't happen TSSAA was looking at a playoff ban for back to back rule violations by the previous staff. Those kids that got to experience that trip to Cookeville how easily it could have turned out differently. But you know hey as long as you are winning guess it doesn't matter how you get it done right??

    😂 ROFL, this guy's clueless.

  4. If Hoover wouldn't have had more penalty yards than Oakland did for complete offense, this one would have been a lot worse. Really shocked to see Hoover that undisciplined. Oakland's defense played well and will have to win some games for the patriots this season. Oakland offense is as bad a 6A offense I've seen. Athletes galore but bottled up to an awful Wing T scheme. Open it up and let those athletes play in space!

  5. Imo, Columbia is a gold mine for the right coach but as long as Stone is there, they'll settle for mediocrity at best. Giles county, on the other hand, doesn't work on the pass game or with QBs enough so they can't consistently pass the ball. Load the box, stop Tucker and they're done. Unfortunately gonna be a long season for two programs that deserve better! Meanwhile, head about 20 miles east and there's some fireworks in Loserburg 😵

  6. Think it's funny how you say Columbia was terrible. Saw the game last night because I knew it was going to be a good one. If Columbia hadn't of had 5 turnovers and would've caught some of those short passes then that ball game wouldn't have been close. Columbia def dominated the game. The so called mastermind struggled. Columbia offense was more physical and would drive the field but had problems holding on to the football. Number 6 and 24 for Giles county are good players but 6 wasn't a factor on offense and I'm not sure why. He had a good game defensively. All in all Columbia was the more physical team and when the game went to ot I had no doubt it was going to go Columbia way. Great game to watch.

P.s. If Columbia was terrible then Giles will be lucky to get 3 wins. Next time scrimmage and play jamboree games against competition.

You must have me mistaken as a Bobcat fan. Giles county will struggle to win 3 games this season and last time I checked 5 turnovers didn't mean you were too good of a team. One terrible team beat out another terrible team last night. Keep me posted with your thoughts around mid season 😉

  7. I've watched both programs in years past. And I'm a Tennessee guy but unfortunately Oakland is gonna find out Alabama high school football is a whole other animal. Maryville is the only team we have that can compete with a team like Hoover. Hoover wins 42-14

  8. GC I think the new coach has added some fire. The kids seem to be playing more as a unit. A lot better playing as a team than last year. I think we will see a difference in the play calling. The new coach seems to be OCD on perfection and wants the QBs to do it right. So time will tell.

Seems to be an offensive mastermind

  9. Well I have tried stay off here and not say much but here goes so forgive me WOMG who is a great supporter of Giles Co. First I will address the Marshall fan above burning down the brickyard?? Lol thats good joke, but if you win I am sure the butthurt won't be any worse for the bobcats than it was for your kittykats last year when the black and gold strolled into Lewisburg in the first round of the playoffs and ended your season. As far as Wallace guess there were not any good QB candidates within the Marshall County limits so Olsteen had to take after his mentor and go recruit him one. Sure it won't be long until TSSAA looking at Lewisburg lime there were Pulasko a few years ago. Peace I'm out

Well, well, well seems the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!! Just got info Marshall Co. Got in a little trouble with TSSAA and lost a spring and fall scrimmage next year plus the DC is suspended for the first 2 games this year for transporting the Wallace kid to practice before he was enrolled in school. Seems the HC picked up a few tricks from his former boss. Should have been hit harder if you ask me. What you say Tiger fans I got it from a pretty reliable source.

Well where to start? Losing to Giles in the playoffs last season had a lot to do with an Osteen trained QB and athletes trained by the OC clan. Let's see how well Walt's boys do this season. And as for the TSSAA "punishment," if that's true, gaining the talented Wallace will out weigh that slap on the wrist easily. Not to mention, that's the best option for that kid, Coach O will make him a superstar  B)

  10. Seems like the presence of Fayetteville High School has hurt LC both competitively and attendance wise. Same thing happened to Dickson County when Creek Wood opened.

That's the excuse for some but Falcon Football started falling apart years before the "City" high school program began. Both programs are ran by Falcon has-beens that haven't realized football has evolved since '93. The good ole boy system has nearly killed the Falcon program. 5A football in Tennessee is not very competitive and LC could do a lot better. Their weight/speed program is virtually absent but no one bucks the system and is okay with mediocrity. But hey! we won a state championship in '93 and we're getting a Buffalo Wild Wings :hungry:

  11. Predictions for Lincoln County...add another fast food restaurant, lose another factory, add to the welfare population, dream about the '93 season, waste time talking about future teams, lose home attendance by game 3, have a mediocre team that struggles to make it to the playoffs, exit first round, same story, different season.  B)

  12. Al Cobb is coming back into town this weekend! If we let him call the plays instead of that idiot so called "coach" of ours we could come out with a W here. However, Ole Walt will end up screwing this one up too. It's a shame, this is the most talent we've had since 2009.

Why would Al call the Bobcats' plays from the Marshall County sideline? Winning Bobcat blood is so embarrassed by the current staff and miss the old staff, they'll support the old staff. Older Cobb was in the pressbox last week keeping warm. Don't be surprised to see VMI QB supporting Coach O. Watch after the game to see where Giles's stars' affections belong. Go Tigers!  :hungry:

  13. Not much difference in talent between the two teams. The better coached team wins!

Last week, Giles County spent more energy in Pregame. Walked around the field like a bunch of whipped cats. Hard for me to believe the Bobcat coaching staff was able to completely change the culture that they've showed all season in one week. More predictable play calling on the way? One sight of adversity and the Cats fold up. Tigers smash Bobcats unless the Bobcats have completed a 360.

  14. Sounds like a bunch of crybaby, make excuses Bobcats. Yes, there were a number of Buckhorn coaches in the house, but not one time was anyone other than Tiger coaches on headsets. Those guys are all one big family. Sounds like the Bobcats are simple jealous. Everyone knows how much you wish they were back in Black & Gold. Even Giles players know the difference between real coaching and phonies.  It's hard to win when only 8 to 9 guys are playing while others are walking around on the field. Unfortunately, for Giles county, you guys have a lot of talent that is just allowed to just do their own thing. They were easily the worst coached team, Marshall played all year. Loved seeing #17 and #10 coming to Coach O, and #7 and #3 coming to Coach Hop at the end of the game. Impact coaching! Oh, and the Tigers defensive staff did a great job  :thumb:

  15. I've watched that "so called" SEC player for three years now play really well versus lower talent and cower down versus elite talent. He has the speed and the length but I question his power. He will need to improve tremendously in the weight room before he sees PT in the SEC, all them boys are fast and strong.

  16. Just curious to know how Giles County fans feel knowing Marshall County is playing for the region championship tomorrow night with a bunch of former Giles coaches that Giles could've had while Giles is fighting for their playoffs lives and will probably lose to Spring Hill with a bunch of 1A minded coaches. Both teams have the same amount of talent. One's headed to the top, while the other is on the way down.  B)
