Anyone got an injury report from Friday. As many as 5 starters were injured..
I really hate to hear this it's just another excuse for coach A! Two weeks ago I posted Smyrna 42 Riverdale 21. After getting beat up by the Patriots I'm gunna say Bulldogs 42 Warriors 13

Game of the week in reg. 5 5a! What's everyone thinking in this one? Who wins and why?
-
Stewarts Creek big in this one! They will not overlook Summit like 2 others in the district! To much riding on this game in regards to the playoffs! The Red Hawks IMO has hit their stride at the right time of the season!
SC 35 Summit 14

Wow, after this week, you are right. I am turing in my prediction card!
I was just messing with u buddy no one really seen those upsets coming! That's what this board is for having fun predicting how the teams will do! Heck that's why they play the games these kids have big hearts anything can happen any given night! I'm glad we got coachT it's a blast if everybody doesn't take it personal!

#1 - Independence - No more losses
#2 - Lincoln County - No more losses
#3 - Shelbyville - No more losses
#4 - Stewart Creek - Loses to Shelbyville and Lincoln County, but beats Summit
Out - La Vergne - Loses all three remaining games. Seems like they have a ton of speed and talent, but losing to Summit 22-14 does not help their case. And, Franklin County seems to be playing better.
Just my two cents.
All worthless! Bahahaha!

Independence 55 Columbia 7
LaVergne 28 Franklin Co. 14
Shelbyville 28 Stewarts Creek 21 Please prove me wrong Red Hawks!
Lincoln Co. 42 Summit 7
Way to go Red Hawks even though u made it tougher on the Wolverines I'm definitely very proud of u guys! I don't usually like being wrong but way to drop the hammer guys!
Finals
Independence 49 Columbia 16
LaVernge 35 Franklin 0
Stewarts Creek 49 Shelbyville 35
Summit 13 Lincoln County 10 OT
Way to go Summit that's how u prove last week wasn't a fluke! I heard LC's coach on the radio with all kinds of excuses, kids out, played worse than last week, blah blah blah! Couldn't say u guys just played better tonight! Congrats good luck next week but i'd bet u won't be able to sneak up on Stewarts Creek after these 2 big wins! Wow!

Riverdale may slip up on Oakland tonight.
It's possible but very doubtful!

Indy 27 Columbia 14
Franklin County 21 LaVerne 20
Shelbyville 24 Stewarts Creek 28
Lincoln County 35 Summit 7
formerfalcon I like ur picks all except ur LaVergne pick, especially the Stewart Creek! I really hope ur right on that one! Hopefully the Wolverines rebound against FC and get the ship going in the right direction. The sophomore Qb has struggled so far this season maybe this game he'll break out and have a big game!

Where are all of the reg.2 6a fans? Nobody see any potential upsets coming? Blaze45 who do u think is a possible upset in the coming weeks?
-
Johnson City is too far north and way too cold in the winter for St. Stevie. He'll end up where there is a beach at one end of his road and a golf course on the other.
Good for the old ball Coach he's definitely earned it!

There are a few interesting matchups over the next few week. Anyone see any potential upsets? Riverdale or Smyrna vs Oakland Or Cookeville Smyrna, Siegel- Blackman? It is always a crap shoot and nearly every year there is an uh-oh game. Will this year have any last minute s shockers?
I think the only upsets possible this week is Cookeville over Smyrna but I think the Dogs handle their biz! Coffee Co./Warren Co. is a toss up so I wouldn't call either an upset really. I picked CC to win we'll see. Next week I picked Riverdale over Cookeville but I don't know if a Cookeville win would be an upset victory either. Both teams seem to be about the same level to me. My thoughts anybody else?

Red Hawks giving up 55?? They haven't given up that much to anyone!! Held Overton to 8 and Independence to 27 with 7 of that from an interception return for a TD. I know you can't compare scores but common opponent is Indy with Stewart's Creek losing 27-0 and Shelbyville losing 46-15. So should be a tight one down in Shelbyville this week.
My bad that was a mistake it was supposed to be 28 - 21 Shelbyville! But like I said i hope Siegel wins! Stay injury free Red Hawks!

Good info roller. And I agree Smyrna should win this one hands down. But we can't get complacent. A couple of turnovers here and a couple of stops there and the complexion of this game could look a whole lot different. We are going to have to stop the run and make Cookeville rely on their pass game. As long as we can do that and establish our own run game we should be fine.
As long as Smyrna plays their game they should pull this game out! But, Cookeville will come out fighting! They are big up front and have a few good skill players so the Bulldogs must come out with a vengeance and avoid the turnovers at all costs! Smyrna 28 Cookeville 14

O
Implying that Watson is a bad HC? He maybe no McDaniel or Shadowens, but he's miles ahead of Stevens
All I was saying is Blackman lost a great Coach in Shadowens!
-
I agree with you except laying the blame at the feet of the coordinators. A team can only truly succeed with a strong HC, and LaVergne doesn't have one
I agree a good HC makes a big difference but heck look at Blackman their still winning!
-
This game totally depends on the Coaches at LaVergne. This team has lost its way since the Columbia game! Unless the OC/DC get it figured out in the trenches the Wolverines will be left out of the post season! Both sides of the ball haven't played well since the Columbia game. The Offense runs about 4 plays and they have none based on their speed. I have never seen an offense with this much talent and speed with no pitches or reverses or misdirection in general. Almost no play action pass or rolling the Qb out with more than one option. The Defensive line is terrible! The two big guys just stand in place and hope to grab a back on the way by. The DB's and Lb's play catch they very seldom blitz and hardly ever a Lb blitzes! And if I can see this another coach can see this also #Shelbyville #SUMMIT! If this team misses the playoffs with the talent on this team something should definitely be done! Good luck Wolverines back to the winning ways!

Coming from a Blackman faithful your statement is a little condescending since the rise of Blackman came out of the direct rezoning taking players from the Riverdale system and putting them into Blackman. Just remember a season or two doesn't make a program. Talk to us when you get a couple of gold balls.
Sorry w82d I don't get where this statement was condescending I actually agree with most of the Warrior faithful! U read my post all wrong sir! Why do some people get on a chat site and take peoples statements on them personal? This is just my opinion u don't like it tough! By the way I'm also some of the Blackman " faithful!" And "Gold Balls" u sound like the Maryville bunch! Lol

This game is always a tough battle just b/c of the history! The kids raised in the Boro all know this from their families and growing up watching these games year after year. With that said I think it will be hard hitting game but the Warriors for reasons we'll just say are discussed all to often on here have fallen from the haydays of greatness in the past to mediocrity. The Patriots just too much in the end run away late! The final... Oakland 38 Riverdale 26

Until last weeks game I would have agreed with u rampage! But I have to say the Coaches made a few changes in the way they did things! First they brought the team out early and got their team really fired up in a very unique way which I think was great. They're usually a very slow starting team b/c their to laid back so cudos to the coach with that idea. 2nd the OC came out with a better game plan and u could tell from the start the players were excited! 3rd the DC had a whole new mindset he allowed his defense to play an aggressive game and the players again responded and it was evident in the final score! They still got more to do but it was very evident that the Coaches made an effort to change and get better and make a run for the playoffs! I'm one fan that was glad to see them finally make a scheme and attitude change in the team!
