  1. I agree with 99% of our post but CF tried to cover him with Ervin, Clore and McKinney and it didn't work well for them.

You just supported my earlier post. Coalfield was not playing very good in the secondary early in the year. They were very inconsistent. You seem to have beef with coalfield. I thought that was who you supported. How did you know all of his season stats? They have to been in the papers yet? I was wondering the totals myself.

  2. 200 of those yards came against CF when CF was completely healthy. That showed that his numbers are not solely based on weak competition.

Coalfield was really young at that point in the season and not very good at all. So that is not a real good argument even thought it as a goof night for him. The truth is that we don't get a lot of respect because of who we have been in the past and who we play currently. I don't. Think we played a team with a winning record after the first three games this year. The rest of the schedule was a JV schedule. That's what voters look at also when they vote. The qb and rb from cloudland were as good and they didn't make it either. Their schedule not very rough other than a couple of games. The good thing is that he has one year left and his name is out there already.

  3. I know this isn't about GB but it's on the topic you all are talking about. A 1A kid from the east with 60 rec 1,021 yds 15 tds, 25 rushes 336 yds 2 tds, 16 KR 496 yds 2 tds, 8 PR 275 yds 2 tds, 2400 all purpose yds,23 total tds, 103 tackles, 17 tackle for loss, 2 sacks, 7 INT with 2 returned for TD in 11 games didn't make All-State.

I agree that he should have made it. He is very deserving. It hurt is chances that our coach moved us to region 1 and he lost some exposure do to it. If we would have stayed where we were our season would have been rough and the kids numbers maybe not as good, but I think he would have made it. He is a good athlete. Running from competition hurts us in more than one way this year. Congrats to all the Kees on a great year.

  4. Aaaahhhhh my bad brother. I completely misread what you said. I had heard that he could've but he knew how badly it would've been frowned upon. Regardless, it would've been nice had you all played cloudland week 3, Oneida week 6 and CF week 9.

I don't think they are made to play, but is an unwritten rule maybe. it would have looked by to drop a county school and pick up oneida and pickett county when they are that far away. you are right f the game were spread out it would help also. we hadn't played a tough team in several weeks when the playoffs started this season.

  5. The coach that is from Harriman was an All-State football player at Harriman in the 90s when Harriman was dominant every year. He could've played college football but chose to play baseball instead. And SE, when you are trying to build a program and make the playoffs for the first time in 20 years, what good would it have done them to stay in region 2 where the playoffs weren't an option? They played 2 very tough non region games this year. They could've dropped CF and played Pickett Co and won 8 games but Voyles wouldn't do it.

That's exactly what I said RUUUUUDDDDDYYYYY. we needed a couple of games with competition in the middle, not top heavy and bottom heavy schedule. I think all county teams play each other, so I'm not sure dropping coalfield was an option. from I was told he wanted to drop them and pick up pickett, and my info on oakdale is usually as good as first hand. I am tickled to death we made the playoffs and the program is on the rise. there is some pride in the football program too, but I don't look at it through red colored glasses.

  6. I tend to agree there, but that was the AD's move to make I'm pretty sure. You've got to do what you can to build a program. Winning games gets the athletes that don't play inside the school wanting to play. There were several athletes in that school this year that didn't play. Those kids could easily have made a huge difference. You've gotta change the face and build more depth before you can compete with the big dogs

That is true, but we needed a couple of teams that were in the middle to check our selves against. we were 0 and 4 against really good teams. 7 and 0 against teams that were terrible.

  7. I go to church with JR and he's a good dude doing what nobody has ever done at Oakdale before. If he doesn't have a clue then I'm not real sure about some other teams in the area. No need to come on here making asinine comments about somebody not having a clue, especially with some of the stupid comments you have made in recent weeks

That was a pretty crude remark, but he does do some things that make you really scratch your head. I guess it was a good move for the program, but I didn't like moving up to region 1. its weak other than the traditional power cloudland. our schedule couldn't get much weaker after the first three games.

  8. Who is Oakdale losing? What is coming up from middle school? The middle school team is turning into a pretty good feeder system for the high school.

we have several linemen back and our QB. our best athlete is back also. I think he might make the all-state team this year.

  9. That CF team would lose BIG to this GB team and you know that. They were ave and we were also. All the teams from the East last he were not very good compared to CA this yr.They would have killed all of us last yr.

cant disagree with that at all, it may not have been a blow out. coalfield's staff seems to find a way to always give them a chance.

  10. You all should be very proud!Got one heck of a team no doubt. This happens every year the ones who don't make it try to water your accomplishment down.

who is watering them down? I stated my opinion and I have a pretty unbiased opinion except for hoping you guys win. OnB you are good at that yourself. you did it to coalfield a lot last year saying they were just an average team, it would be as bad as UC wanted it to be, the east is weak, greenback just didn't play well, ect. now the shoe is on your foot and you are in the same boat as them last year. just hope you guys can have different ending. good luck from oakdale!

  11. Sweetemotion To say this NCS team is basically the same team minus a great lineman is just rediculous. obviously you've not seen us the past two years or would have never made the comparison. Im pretty sure anyone from Wayne County that has played the past two years will verify this.

saw  up close and personal last year, as well as on film. you guys are very good, but as I said not on the same level as last years UC team.

  12. No, we are not in many ways the same team. This is not NFL football where grown men play on Sundays. You do realize that boys grow, and get much stronger from 15 - 16 and from 16 - 17 and so on right? They also become more talented and gain much experience from year to year. We lost perhaps the best DB in 1A football when he was tragically killed in an automobile accident before the season on his way home from practice. We also lost one of the best middle linebacker/fullbacks in the state in a scrimmage against Pearl Cohn. We have a third string tail back that many of you dont know about (you will next year) who would start for any other 1A school. We are FAR from being the same team as last year.

look pal its just my opinion, no need to get your panties in a wad. good luck to both teams.  maybe you guys will ill run greenback out of cookeville like you think.

  13. Not in the league with UC? They lost to a team that NCS blew out of the water. Not as crisp on both sides of the ball? UC had how many turnovers in the Peabody game, and gave up how many points. It's a different year!

Comparing to last years UC team. Not in that league. They beat you guys 35-0 and you basically have the same team minus a great lineman.
