  1. J34 is as classy as they come. But I'm telling you he loves that football team more than anyone and he is going to call you out if there is disrespect going on. And just being honest there has been a lot of negativity from the CB side. I think a lot of it was from emotions taking over after the loss to Monterey but it is what it is.

Yeah you are probably right about emotions.  CF has had great season. Good luck in championship.

  2. 34 just let it go,its getting no where.Good luck to you all!

Yeah maybe I take it too personal, but I will shut up about it.  By the way I hope Zach Stewart plays a heck of a game Friday night.  I think he will be a dominant force for TN in the future.

  3. Well your buddy said that CF should stay home Friday and send someone to pick up the Silver ball. Those are strong words coming from someone who is in basketball season. Of course it's going to spark a fire with the cf fans. I'm a neutral fan and I seen the irony in BigDaves post. That's just my input.

Listen I don't know BigDave , never seen him at a game.  He might say he likes Basin, but I don't know who he is.  I know most if not all the others, and we have all discussed who this guy is.  So I dont like anyone talking crap about our kids, or our program. So that's my input, and Jacket has had an attitude with Basin all year.

  4. Once again, read my comments...nothing was negative about Copper Basin...Nothing suggested that I look down my nose at Copper Basin, other people may have sir, but not me ...Copper Basin fans on the other hand have nothing but hate filled messages about Coalfield...

You guys just can't stand the fact that Coalfield beat you...and you still hold a grudge from us beating you guys in 2010??? Come on...

So you didn't just make a comment on how you made it farther than Basin dreamed.  You called out Basin and said they wouldn't win 5 or 6 games all I can say is we will have to see, but I have no problem with Coalfield.

  5. Not better than anyone and I sure don't act like it, so don't think that you know me when we haven't even met...just tired of all the bull coming from Copper Basin fans...you guys think you are football kings and you aren't...I never once said anything bad about Copper Basin, but I am rethinking my thoughts on you guys...You need to go back and re-read my posts...nothing you will find suggest that I think I'm better than anyone...just give my opinions and predictions...you sir should have your complex disorder checked out.

Not a complex. You just have a problem with looking down your nose at Basin.  You called us out with your comments.  There is a sense of arrogance in your comments but you will receive an eye opener Friday.  Congratulations to Coalfield on making it.

  6. Basin needs to revamp their backfield.  The line should be a strength going into next season.  It would be great if some of the upper classmen that chose not to play this season would come out.  There are some talented athletes that would contribute to a passing game that was almost nonexistent this year.

  7. A Copper Basin fan in a post said he thought that those team would be the non-Region opponents which i think is probably how it will shake out and i added Region games to that. I think CB will be 8-2 at best and 7-3 at worst with that schedule.

The teams are right but Whitwell will be last game played.  I don't know the order, just the teams.  To answer your question 7, yes that is the Chatt. Christian.

  8. It looks like Tellico will stay on the schedule,CB plays them on September 11th. I bet CB plays Andrews and Tennessee Christian again in 2015(I want revenge on Andrews).

I don't think that we play Andrews next season. Although that game has proven to be a big rival.  With the five region games, I think we play Coalfield, Chattanooga Christian, TN Christian, Tellico, and Hayesville.

  9. When you win and celebrate they call you cocky.  Its like you are supposed to stay in the cellar every year.  When you beat their team, the cornerstone collapses and some people want heads to roll.  Sometimes you feel like a nut sometimes you don't.  Basin had a good season.  Nobody thought we would make it to the playoffs, much less the quarterfinals.  East is up, east is down, east is sideways.  Who cares? Only the few getting their butts whipped.  Monterey will have a tough game against Coalfield.  They can move the ball.  If you haven't heard, which I know you have, they had a few out.  One came out during the first series.  We had a lot out the whole game too.  If ifs ands and buts were candies and nuts wed all have a merry Christmas, or at least be in the semi finals.  I think Montereys defense will find Coalfield to be more balanced than Basin.  You wont be able to load the box.  Ride the horse that got you here.  I will pull for the boys from the mountains, and tell your cameraman Randy I owe him a Coke next time I see him.

  10. Basin will have a few returning good lineman up front.  Got to replace a great backfield of seniors who carried the ball for 2947 total yards this season  Those  are some big shoes to fill.  I think that Basin will be up to the challenge.  I like the region.  I think that Basin will be at the top next year. Maybe some of the younger kids will step up and play too.  It requires a toughness to play the game.  It aint for everybody, but I cant wait till next season.

  11. Did copper basin play coalfield this year??

Basin had 337 yds of offense Coalfield had 227 yds.  Coalfield rushed 23 times for 158 yds and threw 9 for 16 for 69 yds.  All five tds were on the ground.  They had eight rushing first downs, four passing first downs and four first downs off penalties.  Not a good day if you were a ref wanting to wipe your nose.  Try 14 penalties on Basin for 112 yds. Lots of boys went out with cramps.  We put in freshmen for a lot of the second half in and out.  Basin led 20-0 in second qtr and  26-8 at the half.  The third opened with a Basin turnover and was a downhill slide losing 34-32.  Missed couple of extra points or could have been different.  Good luck to you guys,

  12. To start I'm not trying to pick a fight, just stating facts. I just watched the play on huddle. It was actually 3rd and 5 from the 20 and I don't know the time on the clock, couldn't see it. If it had been 1st or 2nd down I could see where you're coming from but it was 3rd down. We had ran the hb pass once before so we didn't just pull it out. Would it have been better to have thrown it more conventionally? And believe me, we understand about remembering shots, we've been taking them for years! We've been on the wrong side of running up the score forever!

It was 3rd and 14 on the 19 yard line with 3:20 left on the clock up 21-8 following a safety given up by Basin. I feel like it was our job to stop you like we did most of first half, but we didn't. The fact of the matter is we didn't move the ball.  Defense played great for two quarters and kept us in the game until midway through the third.  We weren't really out of it until we gave up the safety.  Good luck to Monterey and hope you beat Coalfield.
