Hoping nothing but the worst on a student section, now that is very mature. Several people from Huntland know bits and pieces of this girls story and they are glad that the family from MC that adopted her did so and that she is in a better situation. That being said most athletes consider the chant ball hog as a compliment. Usually only the better players are labeled as the ballhog. Also the short players are not allowed to roll their waist band to make their shorts shorter so the chant "pull your shorts down" is only on reference to how she tucks her shorts up in her sliders. I am applauded if anyone would misconstrue such a comment as anything else. Hopefully this makes things clearer.

Very proud of my Lady Hornets this year. They achieved more than most people other than Hornet fans expected. With some hard work over the summer the sky is the limit.

Hornets to the substate 65 to 52. Everyone come to the Hornets Nest Tuesday night at 7 as they play Columbia Academy.

Huntland boys never gave up and fought back to beat LEADS. Regional championship tomorrow night at 730 in Eagleville.

Huntland boys beat Houston County in a packed Hornets Nest. Play LEADS Academy tomorrow at 530 if Ole man winter will behave.

Lady Hornets win by 15.

Coach Tipps is still at Huntland. Huntland returns 7 starters. Hopefully good things will continue into baseball season. Either way this is a great group of Seniors the Hornets have. Can't wait for the season to start.

GWH, the announcer also announced that Huntland was Huntsville the first night of the tourney so he might not be one to turn to for reasoning of a call.

GWH, our sportswriter isn't much over 23 so I doubt he has been covering games for 23 years. That must be from the Moore County writer.

I wish all the 9A teams good luck in the regional tourney and safe travels to all teams.

I would not count Huntland or Moore County out of the first round of regions just yet. They are both young teams who are learning and play with heart.

No both consolation games are first. Girls championship is at 6. Boys championship is at 730.

District Tourney to resume Saturday afternoon at 3. All 4 games will be on Saturday.

The wordd as of this morning is District 9A will resume girls play on Thursday and boys on Friday. Everyone stay safe and warm.

Tonight's games are postponed until tomorrow due to the weather. Nothing but rain in Huntland so far but everyone stay safe.

Hornets beat Fayetteville City by 12.

Lady Hornets played hard but lost by 6 to MTCS.

Great job by the Lady Hornets beating Fayetteville City by 9 in a slugfest.I know at least one Lady Hornets will be black and blue tomorrow morning.

Congrats to Moore County on beating Forrest.

Huntland plays Fayetteville City and MTCS plays Eagleville from what I have been told so I guess you need to predict again.

9aGuru says Huntland is over rated team. I say they under achieve. I guess it depends on which color glasses you wear and mine are true blue. As far as the game against Eagleville, an upset could happen but the girls seem to play well when they have too. Unfortunately, someone told them their last two games had no bearing on the district finish. Should not make a difference in effort, but when you are 15 and undisciplined I would say it did.
