So it’s mandatory, says Eers, that MJ plays Beech on a yearly basis… lol I miss the games for sure, but no one is scared, nor is it mandatory.

So when was the last time MJ played Beech other than a Jambororee?

all Wilson-county schools won’t play. We try to schedule them every chance we get.
the gate is better for both.

  2. This is gonna be a good game. When you get this far everybody has some talent.
SW has some ballers on both sides of the ball. They have speed and are aggressive to the ball.
They have a defensive lineman that is a playmaker every play. He goes 110% on every play and he wreaks havoc in the backfield.
They have speed on the edges on both sides of the ball. The QB lovers to sling it deep and they have the guys that can go get it.
Both sides of there line are good.

Beech is Beech. They’re gonna run and did I say they are gonna run the ball. Then they are are gonna throw it short, middle, and long.
Defense is fast to the ball and they have the guys in the middle.
Linebacker group is very solid and the secondary has plenty of speed.
This could be a good one. SW has only 60 points scored on them all year and Beech is a team that puts points on the board.

This game is gonna be a war.
    Advantage Beech

A few region champs, 10-0 regular season, semi final appearance, 2 quarters. He’s done just fine with the players he’s been given. Your observations seem to suffer from short term memory loss. Being a successful program isn’t just defined by state championships. Sure we would love one but that’s would be silly to judge success solely based off of state champs.

Well aware of what defines a championship program.
That is the way I see it.
Winning nearly 80% of your games over the last 18 years is an example of a quality program.
Not to mention playing some of the finest programs in the state year in and year out.
It is a shame to have to reach so far to find a good game.

I don’t believe MJ is a bad program. I just thought your statement about 98% of the staffs was stretching it.

I hate not playing any of the Wilson county schools.

I’d love to see 98% of staffs in TN come into an area, more often than not, not very talent rich (oh surprise I’m talking about MJ)… and do what the Perry’s have done.

Crabtree has run circles around Perry for years. Exactly why he won’t play Beech.

Not really impressed by a coaching staff who pays teams like Glencliff in a non conference schedule.
MJ, I realize you’re a bear fan. I have felt for the last several years he has cheapened your program with the soft schedules he plays. He has basically done nothing in the post season.
    These are just my observations.

Hey looky there. The oldest standing football home side in the state (correct me if I'm wrong) are hanging in there pretty well if they are deemed safe for use after a thorough inspection.

Those home side stands were built with Railroad steel. They will be there for another 100 years.

  6. Here is my .02 after watching them both.
SC is way more physical up front. 4 and 7 are special players as well as others. I think their defense matches up well with Gallatin.
I think Gallatin has the edge throwing if they can keep Station camp out of the backfield.
I think this could be close. It is not an easy game for either team.
    Good Luck to both

    My Prediction

    Station Camp - 27

    Gallatin - 24

  7. Beech has a lot of growing up to do very quickly. They will be much stronger at the end.
This region is a tough region. Anyone could potentially wind up going from 1st to 3rd or 3rd to 1st.
I look for it to be an exciting season.
    I think it winds up

    Beech

    Hendersonville

    Henry County

    Springfield.

  8. Eers, li think your right on with your thoughts on this.
Beech has lost a lot from last years title run. However, with the addition of some key players and Beech’s ability to reload they will be there at the end. It will be a tough non region schedule with Collierville, Riverdale, Siegel, and Independence. In the end Crabtree  will have them where they need to be.

Hendersonville is not saying a lot. They were young last year and should be much improved  this year. I look for them to be competitive.

Henry County is always a tough out. They always have what it takes to be competitive. This schedule for them will be one they will have to be on their toes week to week. Counce always has them prepared at the end.

Springfield has been very competitive the last several years, however they are gonna find this region to be more demanding than the previous. They are gonna need some guys to step it up to be competitive. I would not count them out. I expect them to be there at the end.

Portland and Hunters Lane have got some talent. They have got to believe in themselves and transfer that to the field on Friday night.
I would never count anyone out and don’t count them out. Believing they can win will make them winners.

All in All this region is very competitive.
Looking forward to a fun year.

So let me get this straight....   Bearden is playing players to move into their district in order to obtain the following records over the past 10 years....  ?!?!??!

    2013  4-7
    2014  1-9
    2015  6-5
    2016  4-7
    2017  6-5
    2018  8-3
    2019  5-7
    2020  4-6
    2021  4-6
    2022  7-5

Now that is funny. If there is a recruiter he needs to be fired.  Lol

I know in some cases this would be funny and true but in this particular situation, Kaden’s Dad is a 1993 graduate of Beech, Kaden’s Uncle is the principal at Beech, Kaden attended little beech as a young child before the family moved to South Carolina, this is not the normal situation of a kid moving up to a bigger school for publicity, Kaden now gets to play with all of his cousins and is closer to his grandparents.

Thank you for setting the record straight.

The reward of winning at large quantity here is greater than a lot of other places in the state. If you win, there will be a LARGE following & support, to whichever coach may be reading this. People don't like Gallatin being good. And if I was a fan of an opposing team, I wouldn't want them to succeed either. I'd also wish they don't get their stuff figured out. The tools are there. Just need the right guy to know how to use them.

I don’t know that I agree with all that.
There is a huge benefit to Gallatin being competitive. Mainly the money that is associated with a winning program.
The gate proceeds, concessions, contributions that follow good teams is a big benefit to all. Everyone wants to win, but everyone longs for that huge competitive game.
These games have a huge impact for the entire school. Gallatin and others long for that Friday night atmosphere. It benefits no one to have a losing program.

lmao a team who was wrecked a month ago by 6 loss CPA…which is a lot sooner than the farragut game i might add…the same CPA team who just so happened to get beaten by a Cane Ridge team that Beech slaughtered a couple of weeks ago…they should be the scary ones…?

Oakland is favored as they should be..but trying to say that Beech has no chance because of a loss to Farragut is asinine.

Maybe he is just butt hurt because the truth would be Farragut is not a contender. Just got lucky the 1st game.

Nobody dropped anybody.  Gallatin made it top priority to first schedule Hendersonville and Beech, for obvious reasons, those were scheduled weeks 1 and 2 before the region schedules had come out.  First, the TSSAA granted Warren County's appeal to move to region 4, which took away a non region game.  Then when the TSSAA set the region schedules, Gallatin was left with week 4 and week 10 to fill with non region games.  The TSSAA scheduled Beech to play region games both those weeks, Portland and Hunters Lane.  So the dates didn't match up to play Beech.

I respectfully disagree because I know different. Good luck you will be 4-6 or 5-5 with that schedule anyway.

    Here's Gallatin's:

    Week 1 Hendersonville
    Week 2 at Station Camp
    Week 3 Mt Juliet (Region)
    Week 4 at Dickson County
Week 5 at Warren County (Region)
Week 6 at Green Hill (Region)
    Week 7 Cookeville (Region)
    Week 8 Off
Week 9 at Wilson Central (Region)
    Week 10 at Springfield
    Week 11 Lebanon (Region)

    See how Gallatin dropped Beech.
That Schedule just shows of a losers mentality. I played there, doesn’t say much for Green Wave Pride!!!
instead of improving, you just dumb it down.

I think this is a very close one. Bartlett is battle tested.

I think that this is the most accurate statement.
When you get this far, everyone is good. Who wants it most? Who plays mistake free, has the least turnovers, the least penalties and so on?
Who believes the most and has the best coaching to win?
Teams don’t arrive at the final 4 because they are mediocre at this level.
People will say those teams are down this year or is it because the other teams are better?
Whatever the reason the teams that want it most will take it.

I will agree with you on this! Our offense in my honest opinion is outdated. I really feel we need to start running a spread type Offense like tyner. It’s hard to cover all those receivers even if they aren’t the greatest athletes like tyner has. It also opens the run up because the defensive coordinator has to add more d backs

    Postman,

You are where you are because of that offense. Why would you even consider a change in a program that has had tremendous success doing what they do and that is WIN!!!

I will say this, those coaches are head and shoulders above most in this state.

    They are winners.
